No problems with the company until I tried to cancel my membership. After being a consistent customer for 11+ years. Requested cancellation in person in March. They ignored that request. Requested cancellation via email in May. Still no response. Finally cancelled in person today but wanted to charge a cancellation fee. I’m now fighting charges back to March.

We paid in advance for a 1 year membership. They closed the location 3 months later without any information about other locations. We believed that we were jilted until they called us to state that they had extended our membership without our consent and we now owe them back payments. The employee who contacted us initially tried to act as if she were from a collection agency. She hung up on me repeatedly when I insisted that they cancel our membership and close their bill. In fact, they owe us $

The Catalyst Fitness Response below regarding membership cancelation is a complete fabrication. I was laid off and had requested, via email, that they cancel my membership on June 9, 2023. They replied by telling me that my contract is until August 26th, so I requested that since they won't cancel my membership, that they pause or suspend my contract for a few months while I try to find a new job, which they were willing to do, for a cost of $5.99 a month. Wow, thank you so much. Anyway, I declined their generous offer and tried to ride out the remainder of my contract until August. They then renewed my contract without my consent and continued billing me - mind you, the title of my email is "Membership Cancelation". I requested that they refund the charges made towards my account that were made AFTER my contract expired, and as you could probably guess, they still haven't done it; and have since stopped responding to me entirely. Repugnant, greedy company that gives all gyms a bad name that cares nothing for the customer experience.

I'm a 25 year member. I like the gym, but the owners seem uncaring. On August 12th, the reception desk, at the Werhle location, decided not to follow the gym's written day pass policy that requires proof of identity to enter the facility. Instead, they allowed 2 people to sign a "guest book" and enter even though they had no identification. The two people went through the locker room, stole items and then went to the open cubes provided at the front of the gym, where people leave their keys, purses, an various other items while working out. They took a couple sets of keys, one being mine, and stole my truck from the lot. My wallet was locked in my truck. They used my credit cards and bank card to make large purchases. They stole items from inside my truck. Since they had my license, I had to change the locks on my house. ALL of the aggravation that comes with having a vehicle and wallet stolen, including out of pocket costs has been mine for 5 weeks and counting. I worry about identity theft now also. I spoke with the gym manager twice to start a dialogue with upper management or the owners. She told me both times that they didn't follow their own policy and understood why I would want to talk to someone above her about "sharing the pain". She said she would share my info with the appropriate people. 3 1/2 weeks later - no response. I then sent an email through the website, an HR manager called. She said it was my fault for leaving my keys in the cubes they provide. She dismissed the fact that they didn't do their part by not following their own policy, allowing these criminals into the gym in the first place. I asked to hear from the owners. No response. I was hoping they would do the right thing, but instead they have just ignored me. I just filed a civil lawsuit. It's sad that they feel ignoring the members they "serve" is the best course of action. Instead of a positive PR moment, showing care and ownership, they have created a negative one for themselves.
