Lufthansa seems to have a problem with disorganization. We went to ***** in December and came back via *****************. Lufthansa appears to have. Bought out some other airlines. One I know is *********. and there are some others they coordinate with. There seems to be a lack of communication and organization to get the whole thing running properly The staff on the airline tend to be grumpy and Im not surprised considering the amount of disorganization. Swiss air staff and Lufthansa both had impolite and grumpy staff on the planes. I cant say I have ever met this before on an airline . Some of the staff were very nice. But none seemed particularly willing to provide help considering the amount of time if you called a host or hostess to yourseat. ***************** was a bit of a mess to be to be ***** and even one of the hostesses said ***************** was a mess in terms of organization. There were two Frankfurt airport vehicles blocking the exit of our plane and it took some time to get them moved and then the planes wings had to be deiced again. night before when we arrived at *****************, there was no ground staff available to get off the plane. Checking in staff at ***************** were obviously under stress and antagonistic. I couldnt believe it. The final straw was when we got home. Our credit card had been used to book another flight on that was nothing to do with us. Fraud. It was from some other airport in ***** that we had never even heard of. I had to get our credit card company to cancel our card and all that Lufthansa says is it wasnt us.!!Review from Khaldoun A

My wife and I were visiting our family in ******* for Christmas from *******. On Sunday January 5th 2025 we were flying out from ********. My wife was coming home and I was flying to ****** to visit my family. As we are headed to the Airport around 3:30 AM my wife gets a text message from Lufthansa telling her that her flight got canceled and they will try to book her a new flight. Since we were already out getting to the taxi and I had my flight scheduled to ****** we continued our ride to the airport to check on this last minute change and see what I can do with my flight! Once we got to the airport around 4:30 AM there was already a line of people around Lufthansa counter and only two agents to help! which was taking some time for each customer. I reached out to my Airline carrier Austrian Airlines to discuss my options and told them what was going on But unfortunately they couldnt not help me as the flight was already Boarding in about an hour or so And my ticket is not refundable. I had no idea what to do next So we headed back to the hotel which luckily was able to accommodate us and give us a room. My issues are: - I do understand things happen and flights get cancelled! But why you have to wait until the last minute to inform us especially knowing we are travelers in a foreign country. - There was no considerations to what we had going on and the Airline only cared about covering their bases. - It costs us great amount of stress and money to go through this. I couldnt get any refunds for my flight to ******, my wife got very sick at the hotel. When the airline booked her a new ticket she was too sick to travel and I couldnt even find a ticket for me to go with her. So we canceled that booking from Lufthansa and decided to purchase a two pricy return tickets on a new flight so I can be with my wife. - We already filed a claim with Lufthansa, But no body cared to reach out to us to discuss anything. Very Bad experience and bad Service from LUFTHANSA!!!Review from Peter A

Unfortunately, this is another bad review for Lufthansa.I was flying from ***** to ****** via ******. Although I had carry-on luggage, Lufthansa required me to check it--and then the bag didn't show up in ******. The customer service systems were poor and unresponsive. I spent much of that night and the next day trying to locate my bag, and when it was finally delivered--the driver went to the wrong address. I did finally get the bag, but my customer service experience has been execrable. I have been asking for compensation but have made no progress at all. No Lufthansa executives respond to my requests for communication, and the CEO has all communications disabled. Need I say more?Review from Onur Y

I was travelling with connecting flights from ****** to ******, *******Because of Lufthansa's delay I was going to miss my connecting flight in Germany so Lufthansa gave me an other ticket.But the thing is even tho I paid for all the baggages I booked, they gave me a ticket without a checked bag so I had to pay it again. Service in ****** told me that they will refund it to me but all the customet service I talk to say talk to United Airlines since they re ticket holder. And United Airlines says connect to Turkish Airlines :D No one is helping me, Lufthansa is the one that should refund me and I asked service for million times all the times they said they ll refund it.Review from Ucheonye I

The mobility assistance crews in ********* have no regards for foreign travelers whether or not they make their connecting flights.Communication is an issue for many of the workers and their nonchalant attitude towards passengers is unbelievable.Review from Geroge L

I booked this flight as Economy Flex. It clearly stated under the Economy Flex options that Refundibility Allowed. I flew from *** to *** but had to change my return date from *** to ***. I contacted customer service who told me that the fare difference for changing it to 19/9/24 from the original date, would be in the vicinity of EUR 3000. I informed the agent that this was ridiculous as I could see one way flights on the Lufthansa website for 19/9/24 for approximately EUR 800. The agent was clearly misleading me in trying to get me to pay a EUR 3000 fare difference. I requested a refund and purchased a one way ticket for my desired date. It is outrageous that on my original ticket I received a refund of only EUR ******. I booked this flight as Economy Flex. It clearly stated under the Economy Flex options that Refundibility Allowed. When inquiring about the reason for this, I was told that my ticket was non-refundable. Luftansa uses some very misleading techniques in getting you to book what you believe is a refundable ticket but when its time for a refund, they change their policy. I paid approximately EUR 1500 for my original round-trip ticket and I expect a refund of at least EUR 600 since I didnt travel (and requested a refund) from *** to *** as originally planned.Review from Greg A

Worst flight experience of my life. They lost my luggage for 4 days and then I cannot reach any managers because apparently they have none!!! I have been told at least 5 different times that my situation would be escalted to a manager and nothing has happened. I would like the refund for the $445.00 worth of expenses I incurred for lost luggage back in April 2024. I am still waiting for that manager phone call. I bet if I was German or lived there they would be willing to help. At this point I would rather walk across the ocean from the ** to Europe if they were the only airline available.Review from Omar Z

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Lufthansa while booking a ticket from ******* to ******. After selecting my flights and entering my payment information, I received a message stating, We are sorry, the transaction did not go through, please try again. Assuming the transaction failed, I tried again, and received the same message. However, I later discovered that I was charged three times: twice on my ***** Fargo credit card and once on my *********** card.Upon realizing this, I immediately contacted Lufthansa and my credit card companies to dispute the charges. Despite multiple communications, including phone calls and emails to Lufthansa, the issue has not been resolved. Lufthansa representatives initially told me the money was just reserved, but it has not been returned. I was only issued one ticket, yet I was charged three times. ***** Fargo even declined my dispute, and I'm left wondering why Lufthansa's system caused such ************ make matters worse, Lufthansa claims that one of the charges was for a different flight, for which I never booked nor received an itinerary or confirmation. This entire ordeal has been stressful and time-consuming, and I feel that Lufthansa should address this system glitch and refund the extra charges.Has anyone else received the same misleading message about their transaction not going through? I want to ensure no one else has to go through this frustration.Desired Outcome:I would like a full refund for the extra charges, an explanation from Lufthansa about the cause of this glitch, and a confirmation that this issue has been resolved to prevent it from happening again.Review from Dan B

My review is longer than 2000 characters so I will try to keep it short. I have 3 bookings including 12 passengers. I've had nothing but problems with the call center. We purchased 12 seats for their flight and a connecting flight through them. Although we had confirmation our seats with both airlines continue to be dropped leaving us with no seats. I've spent several days and hours on the phone, one call for 7 1/2 hours, not minutes. Remained on hold, disconnected calling back, etc. between them and the other airline. They never call back after a disconnect and you can never reach the same person. It's difficult to reach a supervisor. I reached a supervisor who appeared willing to help and correct the issues. He said to resolve the issue he would have to refund the original seats and rebook them. I gave him my credit card info so he could handle it. I requested an email confirming the transactions. He stated he would and call the next day to confirm all was resolved. I never received an email or a call. I called again and could not reach him, speaking to someone else I was told they were not allowed to send such an email. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told that her supervisor would tell me the same thing and that no supervisors were available. I was on the phone with her for over an hour waiting for a supervisor who said there was nothing he could do and told me to call my bank. I called back again to speak with someone else placed on hold and disconnected. I called again and spoke with another supervisor after being placed on hold. I spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone with her who claimed there was no record of a refund. She said there was a complex issue on their part and no guarantee that the seats wouldnt continue to drop off. She said she could issue a refund if I paid again so she could confirm the seats. I told her no, and Id already paid twice for the seats. I was misled and lied to, and there is no way to contact anyone with authority.Review from panneerselvam A

I tested positive for COVID-19 the day before my flight with Lufthansa. I immediately notified them and, as instructed, did not travel. However, after contacting *******, the company I booked through, to request a refund, I was told Lufthansa declined it. This is incredibly frustrating! ******* regulations usually consider medical emergencies like COVID a reason for a refund. It's disappointing that Lufthansa isn't understanding and is making customers pay for flights they can't use due to illness.
