    Dropped my daughter's 2012 ****** off to have rear brakes and rotors replaced as well as the repair of a check engine light issue repaired. We were quoted $350 for brakes and rotors and $120 flat rate diagnostics for check engine light even though they said they knew what parts caused the error code and that it would be an additional $100 for the part and about an hour and a half labor. The vehicle was dropped off on August 14th and we were told it would be ready Friday the 16th at the latest. The brakes were done by end of day the 15th. By the following Wednesday we still hadn't heard anything and when we'd call they always had an excuse to not have it ready. We kept asking and finally got it back on August 24th after paying $739.80 for the repairs. Less than 24hrs later the check engine light was back on. We brought it back in to the shop on Monday August 26th and again were promised it would be fixed in less than 2 days. We picked it up right before closing on Friday night the 30th again after several calls hopeful it was fixed. This morning at 7 am September 1st my daughter called me to say that the engine light is back on. I don't mind the $350 for the brakes that were fixed, but taking advantage of a 17yr old who is paying for this herself while working, attending HS and doing extracurricular activities that she needs the vehicle for is disgusting. The inspection is due in November and we now have to take it somewhere else to get it properly fixed.

    Response taken by phone:  Bring the car back and we will remove the parts we installed and put the old ones back on.  We will only charge for the diagnosis and the rear brakes.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    They have made no attempt to remedy the situation. The car was brought in TWICE to resolve the check engine issue and it's still not fixed. They didn't even provide us with a bill breakdown when the service was paid for. I will not bring it back a 3rd time to sit for 10 days not worked on to have them remove parts, especially since they kept saying they didn't even know if they had the right part or if they could even fix it, but yet they charged for it. They even told us that if it wasn't fixed after we paid that we needed to take it to a dealer. If they couldn't repair it they shouldn't have charged for it and given us the run around about what was taking so long. We cannot be without a vehicle for as long as they hold the cars hostage there. Check their ****** reviews attached from people with similar experiences of poor customer service  and dishonesty. All the good reviews are vague and are probably family members. What's worse is that less than a week after we had to deal with the original issue not being fixed by daughter started experiencing electrical issues with her headlights. They probably caused those by messing around with wiring and now we have multiple issues requiring attention to pass inspection.
