I contacted Kindt construction through this BBB site on December 13 2021. I received a return message via email on December 13 from someone named Monique. (same name as the ONLY review on the BBB site) I called and set up an appointment for Saturday December 18 2020. He arrived and looked at the work needed to be done.. Put in a kitchen sink, change out a bathroom vanity, replace a toilet, put a vent on a drain, run a hot water line to my washing machine, replace the hot water heater, and pull an old sink out of a back room of my house. He stated to me that he was a licensed plumber and had liability insurance. I have yet to see any proof on either of these even though I asked to see proof. I had all new materials here and the only other things he needed to purchase for all these jobs were the hot water heater and a new toilet. He gave me an estimate for $1,800.00 and said he could start the job at 8:00 AM the following Monday (December 20th) if I paid him a deposit of $1,000.00. He asked to be paid in venmo or cash. I wrote him a check for $1,000.00 made out to cash. He came to start the work on Monday the 20th and told me he had not had time to have Monique sent me the written estimate, but that he recalculated his estimate and he would now be charging me $2,400.00 and needed an payment of $600.00 that day to get started. I gave him $600.00 in cash. He started the work on Monday the 2nd. He came back the second time on Friday December 24 and said he needed an additional $600.00 to keep going. I gave him an additional 600 that day with a check made out to cash. to date he has partially installed my kitchen sink and changed out my vanity.. NO OTHER WORK HAS BEEN DONE!! He came here January 3 2022 and he said he wanted another $200.00 to keep working. When I said I would pay him after the work was done, started yelling and throwing tools around and he stormed off. I have made several attempts to text him but he has not responded. He OWES me a very big refund.
