One of my babies had a weird oval growth on the back of her ear. It wasnt bothering her but I ****** her in anyway to have it removed and tested to be on the safe side. After the lump was removed I never heard back about the results, thinking no news is good news. HOW WRONG I WAS!.The surgery site started healing and when it was scabbed over, she was scratching it like CRAZY causing the wound to open and bleed. I figured it was just itchy because it was scabbed, and scabs can get very itchy.so for several months I would put the cone on her, and when it was more healed, I took it off. Then she would go at it again, and opening up to raw skin. This went on for several cycles to where the point the wound at the back base of her ear was growing. So I took her back to the vet hoping for something to help her let it heal. (mind you I still hadnt heard about the biopsy results).The Dr. gave steroids for the inflamation and antiobiotics....that didnt work. Then gave her ****** because he thought it might be a psychological thing wanting to keep scratching. So I tried that for her and that didnt work either. She still continued to self mutilate the cartilage because of the intense itching. A few days later I get a call with the results. The girl informed me that the labs showed that she had a HIGH GRADE ************* ******!! So I asked her to tell me what the 1st labs said from the tumor removal. ..... and guess what!!? It was a LOW GRADE ************! So she has High Grade Agressive ************, with BOTH radiation and chemo, her chance to survive is 50% for another 1 to maybe 2 years.The clinic has sent my cat to an early grave for their COMPLETE NEGLEGENCE for NOT taking quick action while it was only low grade. They FAILED FOR A YEAR to tell me my cats problem was cancerous!! They sent my fur baby to a MUCH earlier grave for failing to take care of the problem before it got to this extent. And causing her the extreme suffering she has endured!!!!
