Peak installed our dining room chandelier as part of a major home remodel several years ago. On June 12th, 2023, the chandelier suddenly and unexpectedly fell from the ceiling. The chandelier was swinging and hanging only by the electrical wire. I immediately contacted a licensed electrician who made an emergency visit to remove the chandelier. Upon removal, the electrician informed me that an incorrect box was used for the installation (see photo of blue box). The electrician returned at a later date to install the chandelier correctly. For more than six weeks, I called and emailed Peak Construction to inform them of the incorrect installation and to ask for the name of the electrician who installed the chandelier. When I finally received an email response, **** said the work was past warranty and there was nothing they could do. They also refused to provide us with the name of the electrician who installed the chandelier incorrectly. Use of an incorrect box was a dangerous code violation and a breach of contract. We expect to be reimbursed for the costs of the emergency removal of and correct installation of the chandelier (see receipt).Business response

Per your request, please find attached the e-mail we spoke of. We have all documents from the original project, and I am sure the warranty period was listed. If by chance it wasnt listed, ************** has a lawful warranty period. I would hope this closes the matter.
Thank you.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I still need the name of the electrician who installed the chandelier. You sent me a company name. There were multiple electricians doing work in the house. A young man installed the chandelier. Please provide his name.
I also expect to be reimbursed fully for repairs since your company installed the chandelier using a completely inappropriate blue plastic junction box, as shown in the photo.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
