Cross-island collision did repairs on my car ****** CX-5) between March 8th and March 19th. It was brought there by **** ****************** ********, after the latter backed into my car on the morning of March 8, 2024. I was not at the scene of the accident, but my sister, ******* ********** wife, notified me hours after the accident. I was assured that the parts and mechanics that will be used will be certified. The following week, my wife called Cross-Island Collision and spoke with ***** *****. He confirmed that they had my car and were making repairs. He told her that there was damage to both the body and the engine components. The mechanic was also unaware of any specific requirements for repairing a leased car. My wife requested that a list of the repairs being performed be emailed to me.Another couple of days passed, and I did not receive any information. When I called again, I was transferred to **** ********. **** proceeded to tell me that it was none of my business what was happening to my leased car. He claimed that as a licensed dealer, he and ***** of Lodi actually own the car, not me. I demanded to know if my car was being properly repaired, but he refused to give me any information. He explained that he was using cheap parts in my car to save his brother money and told me to return the car when the lease ended without telling anyone that it had been damaged. He said that in this way, the damages would be passed on to whoever buys the car after me.When the car was repaired, it was left in my sisters driveway, and she refused to give me the keys in person. My father was used to drop of the keys at my apartment.Since then, I have tried to contact Cross-Island Collision, ****, and my sister numerous times. My goal is to find out what has been done to my car and whether the repairs were properly performed. If they were not, then I should be compensated.
