If you are thinking of using this company I would urge you to reconsider! We purchased a new furnace and install from them just over 10 years ago & had it "cleaned and inspected" every year. This year we called for that service & the soonest appointment that we could get was 7 1/2 weeks out. When the technician did his inspection he determined that our heat exchanger needed to be replaced. He showed us pictures of the interior and asked if anyone had ever shown us that before. They had not because they had obviously not done the inspection part of the " cleaning and inspection" service. The furnace was under warranty so no charge for that but the labor warranty had run out 12 days previous...while we were waiting for our appointment. They did not accept any part of responsibility and gave us a quote of over $6000 to swap the furnace for the same furnace. We obviously got other quotes which ranged from $1000 to $3000. Had they actually inspected the unit on the yearly appointments the problem would have been discovered while the unit was under a labor warranty since the problem was not spontaneous according to other repair technicians but rather something occurring over time. If they had not made us wait for this appointment for close to 2 months the problem would have been discovered while under labor warranty. I was willing to work with them & they were "willing to work with me"...by charging me more than double the amount of any other quote. They have lost a loyal customer.

Scheduled HEAP cleaning for our 100 year old mother's oil fired boiler with Turnbull who performed this service last year. The boiler was working fine. On Friday the tech came, found that the tank filter hadn't been replaced last year and was missing. He proceeded with the cleaning but could not get the boiler to stay running. He said a second tech would come Monday. Temps were in the teens Friday night so we insisted that the second tech come Friday, which he did. After a few hours he said that the oil line needed replacing, estimated at $1800.00 with a time frame of the following Wednesday. Told us to call the office on Monday to arrange. Asked for space heaters but they had none. Techs left. We had our contractor pressure test the oil line before we spent $1800.00. Line held pressure and we got a good flow of oil to the boiler but it would not stay running. Called office on Monday asking to talk to the tech to pass on contractor's information. After several attempts to resolve this with the office, communications deteriorated to the point that Turnbull said that no longer wanted us as a customer. The feeling was mutual by that time. Called a second heating company who arrived Tuesday. They quickly determined that the fuel line was not an issue and had the boiler running in half an hour. The new techs findings (from the invoice) were: " found CAD cell loose, air gate misadjusted, clear stream of fuel. Found burner plate loose letting small amounts of smoke out tightened all loose items." Total cost $208.00. Also showed areas where the cleaning was not complete. Had worked with them in past but can not recommend either their technical service or their customer service.
