            I am a breast cancer survivor as well as someone who has dense breast tissue. The hospital is not coding my visits properly and my bills need to be amended to include all codes such as history of cancer, dense breast tissue, radiation treatment,lumpectomy, mammogram, ultrasound and MRI. These visits are getting coded as diagnostic instead of cancers screening, as well as shoulder pain, which has nothing to do with any of this. Because of this I am not supposed to have any cost sharing(co payments, deductibles) for these visits according to the government. I have been sent around in circles from billing to the oncology department, to the doctor and back again and I cannot get any help with this. These scans are necessary and I have a constant stream of bills related to this coming from the hospital when I am not supposed to share in the preventative costs at all.

            A loved one with a severe shoulder Injury from a work related accident, was told on there first appointment on a friday with gfh orthopedics he needed surgery immediately!! Scheduled for the following Monday. The Surgeon appointed to the Surgery chose to prolong it and have more tests done first. An MRI was scheduled and when we went to the appointment, no one there knew an MRI was being done. They claimed they had not received the go ahead from workers compensation, which turned out to be untrue, according to workers compensation. The Nurses and front desk staff were completely unorganized, confused and denied any responsibility for the mistakes made. My loved ones medical records at gfh orthopedics had incorrect information such as his Race and phone number. Strange, considering they contacted him at his correct phone number previously. It has been over 2 weeks since the first appointment, clearly stating he needed immediate attention and surgery. He has received zero test, they have not refilled or offered any pain management. My loved one is an African American male who is being neglected and untreated by the Glens Falls Hospital of Glens Falls New York.
