      5/30: Phone call w/Arzani, scheduled move for 7/24, paid $269 deposit and rcvd $805.60 invoice for balance. 6/? : Paid balance. 7/24: Text from Arzani ~9am, giving ETA of 10-11am. Nate (?) calls at 12p, says their truck tire blew, will come 7/25 @ 9am instead. 7/25: Movers arrive ~9am w/much too small a truck. Movers load up and leave ~11; roommate leaves to meet them. Roughly half our stuff is left behind. ~11:30, roommate tells me movers haven't showed. Call Nate; he says he's not with truck and will reach out to check w/them. ~11:50 he says they're lost. He gives me phone for someone who's with the truck; I text a map & directions ~12:10. Movers arrive ~12:30. At ~1pm, roommate calls to say Arzani wants addl payment before finishing unload; I speak to Arzani. He asks for ~$550, we compromise on $400, which he says to pay direct to him via ******. I do so; movers unload & leave. 7/26: Find several damaged furniture items. Text Arzani, he asks for photos. I send them. 8/7: Text Arzani for status. He says he'll check w/insurance and update me same day. He doesn't. 9/3: Text for status. No reply. 9/6: Text for status. He says will check and let me know. He doesn't. 9/11: Text for status. No reply. 9/17: Call Arzani, he says insurance just now told him they need receipts, contract, etc. I send purch dates & receipts for what I can, plus quote. He says I need to send contract, not quote. I reply I don't have it and never signed it. (I was wrong that I never met him, mixed up he & Nate). His next messages, consecutively: he can't help me w/o contract; it's fine if I didn't sign anything; his data says nothing was signed; it's not his fault that I lost it. I say it's not my job to find it, and ask for the insurance info. No reply. ~10/1: Contact NYS Consumer Protection mediation. 10/14: Notice from NYS DCP that company mailing address is undeliverable. Text for status. No reply. 10/28: Text for status. No reply. I want a reply + claim info so I can replace broken stuff.
