We booked flights fron ***************** to ******* with a connection in ********. I paid $1500 extra to select upgraded seats 3 months prior to the ********** before flight the segment from ******** to ******* is canceled and when I called to rebook that flight they canceled all out flights and when they rebooked us we lost all our upgraded seat assignments. It is a few hours before the flight and I do not have a seat for the long flight from ********** to *********This is beyond incompetent. They sold the seats I paid for to other passengers one day before the flight. Now I have no option to look at flying with another airline.I will never fly turkish airline again.

Turkish Airlines extorted us at the ************* at the time of our departure and would not honor our purchased tickets. I purchased two tickets on Turkish Airlines (************, **) through Expedia on 09/23/2023 for $1,083.35 each for a total of $2,166.70. The charges appeared on my October 2023 credit card statement. We received several confirmation emails, including one on the day of our flight, ensuring our reservation was booked and confirmed and that there was no need to re-confirm this reservation. However, when we arrived at the airport on May 2, 2024, to check in for our flight, the gate agents told us that our tickets were suspended and that we would have to purchase new tickets for $5,480.20 to get on the flight. Twenty-four hours before the flight, I attempted to check in for our flight on the Turkish Airlines website. At that time, the message I received said, Please check in at the check-in counter. We never received any email or communication from the airline indicating there was any type of problem with our tickets. Expedia had confirmed several times that We were all set. When we initially checked in for our two seats, there was no problem. It was only when we asked to be seated together that the agent behind the desk told us that we didnt have tickets for the flight. We protested to the gate agent and two supervisors but were ultimately informed we might miss the flight because we wasted time. She said we could wait until tomorrow, but there would be no guarantee of seats on that flight. We knew there were seats on this flight because we had already paid for them. They would not work with us in any way except to charge us $5,480.20 to purchase tickets that we had already bought for our 18-day vacation which we had been planning for months and had a full itinerary and reservations for. I would like a full refund for the $5,480.20 plus interest that I was forced (extorted) to pay at the ************* ticket counter.

On August 10th, I traveled from ******* to ******* on flights TK0089 and TK0131. During the journey, my luggage was inadvertently transferred and left behind on flight TK0089 due to actions taken by the flight crew. Turkish Airlines lost and found office has since located my luggage, with reference number BE-***********. However, they are requiring me to collect it in person at *****************Unfortunately, I am currently in *******, ***, and due to **** restrictions, I am unable to travel to ******** to retrieve my luggage. I am therefore requesting that Turkish Airlines transport my luggage to *******, where I can personally collect it (I am aware that flight TK0131 travels from ******** to *******).I sincerely hope you can assist me with this issue, as I have no other options. When I contacted the Turkish Airlines lost and found office, their response was very rude and uncooperative, with repeated attempts to deflect responsibility, leaving me feeling helpless.

Turkish Airlines lost my luggage on my May 8, 2024 flight en route to ****** ******************************************************** from ******************************. After a long series of correspondence, on June 12, 2024, the airline agreed to pay compensation for the lost luggage, the amount being 880 USD (1203 CAD). Nevertheless, after more than 2 months, and communicating with the airline multiple times, the payment hasn't been made to date. The status of the report on their website has been updated to "payment has been made," though that has not been the case, and I have taken up the issue with the customer service multiple times over phone. I was told the payment process will take 7 business days, and it has been more than a month since the status was updated. It's very frustrating and since my communication with them has been leading me to nowhere, I'm taking up the issue with the BBB.

Turkish Airlines has made it virtually impossible to use a flight credit that they claim expires in September, despite the fact that their website also claims flight vouchers last 2 years (flight canceled in October of 2023). Ive been unable to use the voucher number online (as they indicate is best practice) and have spent hours of time on the phone with their customer service trying to book my flight or otherwise get my money back. **************** sent me to ********** only to be turned away by the security guard who deals with Turkish airline consumers coming everyday to complain, and I was told the airline customer service lied to me. security at the building also recommended I go to ***, which is expensive and time consuming. They are likely defrauding consumers by making it impossible for people to spend their money and forcing working people to spend time and money to use their money. And if unable to do so in the allotted time, despite best efforts and good faith, Turkish airlines is unjustly enriched.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Turkish Airlines regarding their failure to process a full refund for a ticket I purchased, despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue directly with the airline.Ticket Purchase: In February 4th 2024, I purchased a fully refundable ticket for my uncle ******* *********** and aunt ******************** ******* * who were supposed to visit the ************* in August. Unfortunately, due to **** issues, the trip could not proceed as planned.Request for full Refund: Given the circumstances, I initiated a request for a full refund as per the terms of the ticket. Despite this, Turkish Airlines has not refunded me the full amount of $4,649.80.Cancellation by Turkish Airlines:On July 17, 2024, Turkish Airlines canceled the ticket on their own, without any initiation or authorization from my end. Despite this cancellation, I still have not received my refund.Bank Dispute:I escalated the matter to my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union, initiating a dispute to recoup the funds. Despite providing all necessary documentation, including the fact that the ticket was canceled by the airline, the issue remains unresolved.Turkish Airlines' handling of this matter has been highly unprofessional. They initially provided conflicting information regarding the refundability of the ticket, and their decision to cancel the ticket without processing the refund is unacceptable. Their lack of communication and accountability has caused significant inconvenience and financial strain.I am seeking the intervention of the Better Business Bureau to ensure that Turkish Airlines honors the terms of their agreement by promptly processing my full refund of $4,649.80. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your assistance in resolving this issue.Sincerely,Attach documents: ticket purchased, purged tickets if you need additional info do not hesitate

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent trip (Confirmation Number: ******). On May 12th, flight TK 192 was delayed and eventually cancelled at 1:00 AM. Despite this, no information was provided regarding accommodation or transportation. I had to drive home due to the late hour, but Turkish Airlines has refused to reimburse me for the gas and toll charges. When I finally arrived in ******** on flight TK 6892, my luggage was not loaded, forcing me to purchase new clothing after three days without my belongings.I promptly filed for reimbursement, but I have not received any payment for the delayed luggage or trip cancellation. Each follow-up email has introduced new requirements, and the gas and toll charges have been repeatedly denied. Additionally, there has been no clarity on the per diem, and I have observed inconsistencies in reimbursement amounts compared to other passengers.I request immediate reimbursement for the following expenses:Gas and toll charges: $72.14 Food: $17.00 Clothing: $492.69 These charges, along with the reimbursement for delayed luggage and trip cancellation, are justified. My request references are *** ********** and ***********.I expect a prompt resolution to this matter, it has been over 2 months and this is not acceptable.

Hi,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent travel experience with Turkish Airlines. My Turkish Airlines membership number is ***********.On August 3rd, 2024, I was scheduled to fly from ******** to ***** on flight TK157. Despite being already checked in and ready to board this connecting flight, I was denied boarding because the gate was closed 30 minutes before departure. This decision was made even though I was present and prepared to board the aircraft. As a result of this arbitrary rule, I was forced to book an alternative flight to *******, which cost me $1,342.92, since there were no available flights to *****. Upon arrival in *******, I had to book an additional flight with Southwest Airlines for $270.98 to reach my final destination (significantly delayed subsequently...), *****. In total, I had to spend $1,613.90 on new flights. Consequently, my total travel time extended to 35.5 hours, causing significant inconvenience and distress. This situation was exacerbated by the fact that the flight was overbooked. Implementing such inflexible rules allows Turkish Airlines to exclude passengers without compensation, compelling them to purchase new tickets to reach their destinations. This practice is unacceptable and has caused me undue financial burden and inconvenience.I request full reimbursement for the additional expenses incurred due to the denied boarding, totaling $1,613.90. I also urge Turkish Airlines to review and amend their boarding policies to prevent such incidents in the future.Thank you in advance for looking into this.Sincerely,FlorentTurkish Airlines Membership Number: ***********Enclosures:Receipt for the alternative flight to ******* ($1,342.92)Receipt for the complementary flight to ***** ($270.98)
