Pattern of Complaints
BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning this company's billing practices and service fulfillment. Beginning the summer of 2015, complaints began coming into BBB alleging non-delivery of awnings ordered from Awning Service of New York or Awning Queens. Many consumers tell BBB about placing an order with a salesperson from the company, and providing this company representative with a deposit in the range of $400 - $2000. Most consumers say they are told the delivery and installation of the awning will take about 2-3 weeks after the order is placed. After this time frame elapses and no delivery of the products occurs, these consumers reportedly try to contact the company repeatedly for an update on the status of their order, or for a refund of the money they paid. Nearly all consumers say they are unable to reach anyone at the company to discuss their issues, and are left without the product or the money they paid for it. Complaints filed by consumers with BBB against this company have gone unanswered.
On December 23, 2015, BBB contacted the business concerning the aforementioned issues. As of January 26, 2016, the business has not responded to BBB's request for voluntary cooperation in eliminating the identified pattern of customer complaints.Important Information
