    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

first off your lying *****.. [Your Answer Here]my receipt shows tv and tv stand also the extra 1300$ added to my bill that was not included in original quote and broken beverage glasses and was charged for THREE dressers when i had TWO one being a womans dresser that i clearly stated it has a mirror included they charged 50$ extra and also i stated a gun case and he documented that on receipt plus the third dresser which there wasnt a third also being charged for stairs when stated clearly when communicating in september with *******************.. i called him numerous times and got no reply and got blown off or never returned the call, on monday october 2-2023 he continued to scream at me at how many totes were put in truck when I questioned the 200 extra cubic feet and prior to the moving day. I made sure that I communicated with **** asking him if this would be any extra charges and he kept saying no ***** we will take care of you..on
sept 30 2023  ( moving day) and denied it all he told me he would call me back he never did .. i was also charged 50 EXTRA dollars for boxing tv which you can view in these photos I included it is on the left hand side  a brown box. It says fragile.we dont have those boxes nor stickers .. They clearly boxed our 65 inch TV. Also charging extra for the stairs, breaking my kitchen ware and also ladders missing.. they were not very understanding nor helpful to resolve the issue .. they gave me a quote then added more and more money and the movers had the audacity to say to  me we dont mind third floor because we know you will tip us good who says that? that is uncooth and rude.. i am asking for a refund on my broken and damaged property and to resolve this issue in a professional manner .. i do not deserve to be treated like this when i shelled out 4400$ in cash because you dont accept debit at time of delivery.. hmmm and my experience with this company was the absolute worst! **** was all helpful and nice until i signed to use east coast movers then he was *** after he got all that cash.. i am not a happy customer please do whats right !

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here-my quote was stated ******************************* touch with these unprofessional people asking every little detail and they pacified me and said sure ***** no problem we got you!! ******************* who was *** after he got his cash! he said ***** no worries

we will take care of you i called ONE TIME TO COMPLAIN big difference .. and that was after sept 30th the

day they packed truck and charged me 1300 and refused to leave until payment was made in addition to 3300$ the original quotedo not exaggerate the situation you know as well as i know that you people clearly avoided me after you over charged me and damaged my goods and also denied  it all.. i was very upset having to come up with .1300$ MORE THAN QUOTED no explanation no call back no answer you said **** was sleeping at 1:30 pm

on satursqy the day of my move ************ spoke with you-you have caller ID and you chose to ignore the calls after the truck left my home . I left a message stating how unhappy I was and that you all sucked that was my curse word that is the furthest that I went you people did not standby your promise to satisfy your customer, and delivered my goods damaged and charged me extra for stairs totally misleading and then did not want anything to do with rectifying situation and it was not my boyfriend calling my boyfriend had nothing to do with the phone calls. I want what I deserve and that is replacement of a $650 ******* 65 inch HDTV and broken glasses from my kitchen . -also when delivered we got the finalized inventory sheet with the extra things that i was charged more for, those were stated in final, why wouldnt they be? then said we only except cash no debit or zelle made me run around to find a bank once again because now was charged for more money bc of stairs which you consider one flight seven steps!! a normal flight is 12 stairs, and even **** said that when I signed the contract and clearly told him that I was moving on the third floor in a luxury apartment he said no problem  at 10:00 at night to

seal the deal, this is not the way you do business and continue to mislead people in overcharge them. Ive read many reviews and Im not the first one to complain about being overcharged and being scammed..// i want what i deserve and paid for and that was extra box for a broken tv and a mirror that goes with a womans *********************** knew from day one then they charge 50$ more day of .. i am not happy at all with this company and the way i was treated totally unfair and rude services  then the ladders which valued at 800$ went missing and a

week later they magically appeared from a truck they overlooked and forgot ha! lets be honest this was not what i signed up for and then have the audacity to start arguing with me ( *******************) oct 2,2023  i was very careful and stated every single piece of furniture i was moving not much at all and i purposely sold 3/4 of my house so i did not have to move alot and pay thousands of dollars .. this was a process that i worked very diligently and hard on to make this seamless and it was thee worst company i ever dealt with . just a big disappointment and its too bad i have to beg for what is right your movers dropped my 2 year old 65 inch tv and dont want to own up to it and replace it.. beverage glasses they dont mean as much to me as this perfect tv that was mine !

The movers came to ** on Monday 7/10/23. We were told it would be 3-7 days to **. They arrived on 7/20/23. Which was 9 days later. Multiple items were missing and several things were broken. The boxes were smashed. Our belongings arrived in 2 separate trucks on that day. The third truck came 4 days later at 6:30 AM without any notice. The management never communicated with us. When we called them they could not tell us where the truck was or when it was scheduled to arrive. We are still missing several items; a ladder, hand truck and dog cages.

    Business response

    08/07/2023

`Standard delivery is 3-7 business days.

The third truck went out when we realized some items were left at the warehouse.  I apologize for the fact that you were not notified.  You should have been notified by the office and then the driver enroute.

I have sent you claim forms for the damaged and missing items.

I truly apologize for the miscommunication and confusion you have experienced.

East Coast Moving Inc originally quoted me $2602 to move approximately 600 cubic feet of my belongings from ** to **. After they had loaded everything on the truck, they increased the quote to 950 cubic feet ($4,042), even though my 10 x 10 x 8 ft storage unit couldn't have held that much stuff. They took advantage of me not being there in-person for pickup and extorted me for over $1200 in additional unreasonable charges. I have pictures of my stuff in the original storage unit, video and pictures with measurements of my stuff on the truck, and pictures of my stuff in the new 10 x 10 x 8 storage unit. They all demonstrate how unreasonable the estimate of 900 cubic feet was. I would be happy to provide this evidence upon your request. There is no way my belongings even take up 700 cubic feet, let alone the 900 they ultimately charged me for. When I did the calculation for how much space my belongings took up on the truck, from direct measurement, it came out to 636 cubic feet. East Coast Moving Inc held my belongings ****** and demanded payment in cash. I have attached an email I sent to ***** at East Coast Moving Inc that details all the times and ways I was deceived and extorted throughout this process. Although all I am looking for is a refund of $1200, they should not be allowed to continue to do business. I have never worked with a company with such unethical and illegal business practices. In addition to the financial hardship, their unethical and illegal business practices and the extortion I experienced have caused me significant emotional distress.

*********************** move was over the 600 cf quoted.  We gave her a discount of $478.00 which is equal to 119 cf.   Therefore, the final cubic feet for the job came to 781 cf

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[This response is a total lie. I was forced to pay for 900 cubic feet and was only given three meager discounts after the initial quote for 600 cubic feet: $50 when East Coast Moving did not deliver my belongings on the day they said they would, $50 on delivery day when I was still contesting the charge, and $100 by the driver because he wanted to get my stuff off his truck so he could get to his next pickup. Even with these discounts, I was forced to pay $1200 more than the initial quote of $2600. And I still have evidence to prove my cubic footage was nowhere near 900 cubic feet (see attached photos - one is from my 10x10x8 storage unit in PA and the other from my 10x10x8 storage unit in FL). You can see clearly in these photos that my units are nowhere near full. In fact, 900 cubic feet is not even possible to fit in a 10x10x8 storage unit. I can also share with you a video of the measurements of my stuff in the moving truck which shows about 635 cubic feet of contents. The company held my belongings ****** until I paid them the extra charges in cash. *****, who according to *****, is the only person at East Coast Moving who can authorize changes in charges has not answered my emails or requests for phone calls about this debacle. Had he been an upstanding business-person in any way, we would not be using BBB as a mediator.]

We had scheduled for a move for the 30th which was processed and even an advance paid. Suddenly we had a communication form the company that they can not accept credit card payments and that the ** will not honor the commitment. This has left us scrambling again to find a mover. This is totally unacceptable. They wont even pick up our calls any more. The phone number used here is my husbands number just for safety purposes.

Our estimate clearly states credit cards are not accepted for the move.  Once the error was caught, we notified you of our payment terms.  It is unfortunate that you could only pay by credit card
