Plycon delivered to me a severely damaged 72" round petrified wood table on September 10, 2024. In order to cause that kind of damage to a petrified wood table, something major and obvious had to happen to the table. Nonetheless, Plycon delivered it in that condition and it was rejected by me. Plycon charged thousands to ship the table with insurance included. It is now January 6, 2025 and after months of attempts to be reimbursed for the table and countless emails to Plycon, I have not received any payment. I received one response to many inquiries and emails that a full and final settlement to cover the cost of the table and shipping in the amount of $11,015 would finally be forwarded many weeks ago. Then I received a second email that they were reneging on their written "full and final settlement agreement" and withholding $475. I still have not received any payment after more than 3 months nor have I received any responses to my emails and inquiries on the status of payment. I have had to rent replacement furniture through the holidays at a cost of more than $800.

This is not a complaint about an unresolved issue but rather feedback on the claims process, which was fully completed. The shipment involved a 500 lb petrified wood table in a crate provided by the sender that was structurally inadequate. Unfortunately, this led to damage during transit, but despite the crating issue being outside of our control, Plycon took full responsibility, assisted in filing the claim, and ensured the customer received a settlement of $10,540 on January 14, 2025. While we understand that the claims process can sometimes be frustrating, we remained transparent and ensured a fair resolution.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Plycon was hired to deliver the table from the seller to me the buyer. They delivered a very obviously damaged table and a separate table base that was totally scratched. They refused to respond to calls and emails for months. I was forced to spend in excess of $800 to rent replacement furniture for the holidays. They sent a written settlement for the total amount we paid $11,015 and then decided to pay $10,540 and to keep $475 as insurance money. There is no evidence that this claim was paid by insurance, which would be fraud. They did not resolve this claim adequately or properly and they intentionally delivered an obviously damaged table that was totally uncrated in the delivery truck (I have pictures in the truck of the table) and gave the nerve to call my complaint inaccurate.  The date of my complaint is before receiving any payment and they know that but still called my complaint inaccurate. Another false statement.  I also have the written settlement document tthat they forwarded and never satisfied. I would love to see proof of this claim settled through insurance, and itll thats the case then pay for the additional monetary damages through the insurance claim. Somebody should teach out to the insurance company involved here to pay the rest of the claim damages.

Regarding the $475 being withheld, please note that this is in accordance with the claims process outlined in the Bill of Lading. As stated on the back, a deductible applies when a value has been declared for an item, and the insurance company has assessed the table accordingly.
Whether or not you find this process agreeable, this is the established claims procedure. We have adhered to it fully and have done our best to expedite all communications with you. Our records reflect thorough documentation of all correspondence and provided materials, including the relevant insurance documents, which were sent to your representation. For further clarity, a copy of the back of the Bill of Lading is attached.

I purchased a transport service for a mango wood table to be transported from my brother's home in ************** to a property I own in **********, **. Along with the $2,000 fee, I purchased an insurance policy covering that amount in case of loss or damages. The day the delivery was scheduled, the dispatcher called to tell me they had broken the table and had to take it for repairs. That began a two month saga of me trying to get in touch with someone from the company who could send me photos. I was unable to get anyone to respond, even when I spoke to management and they said they would call back. I received another call a month later from dispatch saying the table was on its way the next day. When I met the delivery men, we all observed a big, structural crack in the table that had not been adequately repaired (if at all), and I refused to accept the delivery. They are calling again saying they repaired it again, but I have been demanding to just get the insurance coverage money as the structural damage is too significant, and they will not comply.
