Hello. I have settled this account with National recovery Services. This inquiry is preventing me from making future purchases.

      Business response

      06/19/2023

Thank you for your correspondence on this matter. At National Recovery Solutions we strive to provide the best in customer care and service, so when issues like this arise, we take them seriously. As Ms. ****** stated, she did settle her account with this office on 6/16/2023. In accordance with our agreement with Ms. ******, we have reported the settlement to our client and the account has been settled in full in our office. National Recovery Solutions has not reported this account to Ms. ******’s credit bureau. As such, we cannot request any trade lines on her credit report to be removed or updated.  What we have done, is report the settlement to our client. If they have reported this to her credit report, they would be the party who can update it. Normally, this process takes 30-45 days after payment is received. If Ms. ****** would like to expedite this, we have provided her with the necessary documentation to prove that this obligation has been satisfied. Thank you.

I have been receiving calls from a “Joe” since March 2022. He has began calling my job, my family members, friends, etc. for a debt that I have no record of. Stop harassing me at home and work. If you have proof that this debt is clearly mine, then send me a copy of the paperwork with my signature on it and send it to my mailing address, since I’m sure you have that on file and STOP calling my job.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, we take complaints very seriously. I have reviewed the complaint in question and at no point has NRS or any agent of NRS spoken to this consumer. Furthermore NRS has attempted no contact that falls outside of any rules or regulations that govern our industry. We did send the consumer a letter outlining specifically on 3/20/2023, which was the date the matter was placed with our office. In accordance with the consumers wishes, we will request the documentation and will send it to her.

NR Solutions has called my office phone and left a rude voice mail then called my son's (who passed away 8 years ago) teacher to ask her questions about me! I requested proof of debt via mail and he only wanted to send via email - I did refuse to give my email address. I told him that once I received documents from him and if the debt is valid, I will arrange to lay. Very rude and unprofessional.

      Business response

      03/23/2023

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. On 3/8/2023 we received an inbound call form the consumer during which she asked for validation of the debt that we are calling about. Our collector immediately requested this validation and placed the account in a hold status until the documentation is received. The consumer also asked for no calls to her place of employment or relatives. Our collector immediately removed all numbers but the consumers cell phone, in accordance with her wishes. As far as the allegations of leaving a “rude voicemail”, we only leave voicemails in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations that govern our industry. We are limited very specifically as to what we can and cannot say and we adhere to these requirements rigidly. I have personally listened to the call recording on the conversation in question and at no point was our agent rude, impolite or unprofessional. He performed his duties exactly how he is trained to and in accordance with all laws, regulations and internal procedures.

As stated during the call, we will provide the requested validation by mail upon receipt. She will receive no calls until after that validation is received and sent to her via mail.

This company called my job 11/15/22 in reference to a debt I wasn’t aware of from a company I never heard of, which I nor my employer gave them permission to do so, and they should cease and desist. They lied and told me they mailed correspondence 11/12/22. Nothing arrived until 11/28/22 dated for 11/15/22, to me and my deceased co-signer (which I informed them on the 15th). I sent the it back to them via certified mail 11/30/22, disputing it, which conveniently no one can find it! It was delivered back to them 12/3/22 via certified tracking info. They lied and told me they don’t have control of the dates on correspondence from their office, ridiculous! They’re extremely unprofessional and attempted to bully me saying that i was “refusing” to pay. They’re grossly in violation of FDCPA.

Thank you for reaching out about this very important matter. Per our conversation with Ms. ****** on 1/3/2022, we have requested validation of this debt and the account has been placed in a verification status until such validation is received. Upon receipt of said validation we will forward it to Ms. ******.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Your company, by actions of your employee, violated my rights based on the FDCPA. You have not addressed them calling my work phone, and blatantly going above and beyond to discredit me, bully me, and using false narrative to get me to comply.  Regards, ***** ******

      Business response

      01/11/2023

      Ms. ******,
Thank you for your reply. As required by the FDCPA, we have ceased contact on the account and requested validation of the debt. Contacting a place of employment in and of itself is not a violation of any part of the FDCPA. As for “blatantly going above and beyond to discredit, bully and using a false narrative to get you to comply”, none of these allegations were raise in your original complaint and we take them very seriously. Can you please give some context to these allegations so that we can investigate internally?

This company is asking for a down payment to pay off a loan that in collections. I have spoken to a couple lawyers and they have stressed that this is not normal. They continue to call several times asking for settlements or a downpayment. They are asking for $2,000-$4,000. When I ask for a payment arrangement they said I have to do a down payment. The lawyer stated that this is not normal and I should file legal paperwork.

This business has been harassing me and my family members over a debt from a company I’ve never heard of. They called me once, left a voicemail, didn’t give me time to even call back, and immediately called everyone in my family and probably my job as well. So unprofessional and ridiculous. Most likely a scam since I’ve never heard of the place I have a “debt” with.

These folks keep calling my parents home and anyone else they can get a hold of me. I myself have not received any letters, mailings, emails, phone calls, etc from these guys explaining any kind of bill or debt. I attempted to pay off all my debts last year. If i missed one and it is legit then lets talk. But DO Not Disturb my retired parents. What the hell!!! Send me something. Address forwarding is on and I get mail from everyone else What is the bill?? Tell me what I need to know. BUT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CALL AND HARRASS OTHERS. I have had heavy fraudulent activity and even filed a police report several years ago, The harassments for spam, magazine offers, surveys, supposed cash loans, credit cards, etc. I still get stuff to this day that I've applied for things that I haven't. Welcome to the new world.. Sad.
