My car was broken into, vandalized, and totaled. It was towed by AAA to Quality Auto Services *** on Monday, October 16th. We were told to leave the car at the garage by the company until the adjuster came to look at it. We werent notified again by the insurance company, Geico, for another 10 days to be told that we were not covered for the loss and the insurance company wouldnt be able to issue any payment. Today we tried to get the car back but are now being notified for the first time that there was an $85 a day storage fee, another $175 towing fee to get the car towed out to the street. We dont know how to handle this situation. We cant afford to get the car towed nor pay the hidden storage costs out and we cant afford to get the car fixed. Were at a total loss. We just want to get the car out and get the car scrapped. We havent paid the business anything yet. My name is *********************. Looking forward to your response.

On 08/30/2022, I took my 2007 **** Fusion to Quality Auto Services, **** to repair the Air Conditioner which was blowing hot air and the ***** light that was on the dashboard. I just purchased this vehicle and needed to pass *** inspection. I met with "***" who informed that the *** was on due to all brakes and rotors needing to be changed. He said the ** system had to be recharged and all tires replaced. He gave me a total quote of $2295.73 for that service. I told him that was a bit high for me and would hold off on the tires. He then charged me a total of $1,433.44 ($634.09 for parts and labor $682.50). *** advised me not to shop around for other prices as he stated the car was dangerous to drive although I had already driven from ********** to Queens, ** and back to Manhattan with no such issues. I left my vehicle and he said it would be ready the next day. My car was not "ready" until 9/3/2022. When we picked up the car, the *** light was still on and *** stated that a caliper needed to be change for the light to go off and that would be an additional $400.00!! I was so upset and told him I couldn't afford that and would have to shop around. As I drove away, I realized the ** was still blowing hot air. I called him and he said to give it some time to kick in and if it didn't work to go back on 9/6/2022. Today, 9/6/2022, he tells me there may be a leak in the air conditioning system. I asked him for a refund and he refused and stated he can only give me a limited warranty on the work they did. I explained they did not do anything on my car as I noticed the parts were not even touched for the ** and I was told by another mechanic that the *** light is a matter of a sensor not the brakes! I feel *** has taken advantage of my situation and is repeatedly going to take advantage of me. I am asking for help in getting a refund for the services that were not provided as promised.

On May 25, 2022 I purchased **** ***** 740gl sedan which was parked at Quality Auto Services; this shop had been working on the car to try to get it running for the owner, which they weren't able to do. On May 25, the owner hand delivered to a staff member of this shop, a large yellow envelope with my contact information on it in VERY large print. Inside this envelope, was the cars Title which the previous owner dated and signed over to me as the cars new buyer (***************************). On May 26, 2022 the car's owner called Quality Auto Services to ensure all at Quality Auto were aware he had sold the car to me the previous evening. Later on May 26, 2022 I called Quality Auto Services to introduce myself as the new buyer of this **** ***** 740 which was in their shop; during this phone call, I let them know that I would be arranging pickup of this vehicle sometime after Memorial Day, and they said to me during this phone call that it was no problem whatsoever! On the morning of June 4, 2022 I called to let them know that my tow truck was on its way to pickup **** ***** to bring it to my house. During this phone call, they told me they scrapped the car at Plako's ********************* located in Brooklyn, **. The previous owner paid Quality Auto Services for all of their unsuccessful efforts to get this car running. Therefore, this repair shop was already paid-in-full. They had no right whatsoever to scrap my car!

I was charged for the storage of my car without them finishing the estimate requested, and without notification of the fee
