On February 25, 2025 I walked into North star Mitsubishi and lock it down deposit $2000 for outlander sport After reviewing my credit, it was confirmed I was unable to get approved for the new vehicle. I was told to rebuild my credit to look into the used car leasing. I was unhappy with the section of cars so I left. Friday February 28th,2025 I requested a refund was told it would take about a week. 7 business days passed I received out to salesman & called up to requested to speak to a sales manager. I was told a sales manager would get in touch with me 48hours went by I still havent heard or received a refund.

On January 28th I was going to purchase a vehicle and put a 5k deposit down. After three hours waiting around for the financial officer to run my credit they came back to me at a high interest rate of 15%. I couldn't afford that monthly payment with such a high interest rate so Iasked for a refund of my deposit. So the salesman ******* ******* at ************ took copies of my two credit cards that I used for the deposit. I was told I would have my refund with in 5-7 business days. I have not received any funds as if yet. I did try to reach out to the dealership and have not received any call or correspondence. Thank you

We purchased a previously owned vehicle on 12/22/2024 for $48,490.00.There are two issues:1. The documentation indicates a total mileage at the time of purchase as *****. The next day we saw the actual mileage was *****, understating the mileage by 700 miles.2. There are two rusted spots on the hood of the vehicle. The car dealer provided misleading information and was not transparent about the condition of the vehicle.

      Dear ******************** Complaint Services,
Thank you for the opportunity to address ****************** concerns regarding her vehicle purchase on December 22, 2024.
**** ****************************** **************>We acknowledge Ms. **** observation regarding the condition of the hood. Please note that the vehicle in question is a used car and was available for inspection prior to purchase. Nonetheless, based on her feedback, we have already ordered touch up paint for the hood to address the cosmetic issues reported.
Mileage ******************************** ***************Regarding the mileage, the documentation showed ***** miles at the time of sale. It is standard practice for our used vehicles to be driven before they are finalized for inspection, which can result in additional mileage being recorded. In this case, the extra 700 miles reflect that necessary driving process. The customer was aware of this routine procedure during the purchase.
We remain committed to providing quality service and ensuring our customers are well-informed. We have reached out to *** *** to discuss these matters further and ensure that her concerns are adequately addressed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

When I purchased a car from Northstar Mitsubishi,I was pressured by finance manager to purchase vehicle extended warranty bumper to bumper 10 years ******* miles which ever come first i keep saying No but in the end i agreed to purchased it since he said its bumper to bumper and if anything wrong just bring it back and it will be taking care of without mentioning any fees.(Salesman bad tactic to rule me in to agreeing)Fast forward to today,My Ac is broken down and I bring it back to the same dealership service center but to my surprise they demanded 200$ for diagnostics fee pay upfront even before they look at my service contract and said my bumper to bumper warranty might not cover the broken Ac..So in here i have been scammed for buying the extended vehicle warranty and they are not even honoring what they sold me.. please help,i also already file FTC complaint(*********) but been told also seek help from BBB.

Hi we looked into this customers file we do not have any record of him coming to the service center. Can he please send the repair order showing that he was at our facility. Maybe he went to a different dealership. The service manager tried calling him as well to see who he spoke to and how we can help him.

      Thank you

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      [Your Answer Here

The way the business owner *********************** responded to BBB is ridiculous, i purchased the car at his dealership, and the extended warranty at his dealership and he denied im his customer is ridiculous!
also,i dont have the service order because i denied to pay the diagnostic fee up front ,instead i attached my appointment text from them and my 15 minutes call history with his Service manager that insisted that its their company policies that 200$ diagnostics fee must be paid upfront.

So what is the point of bumper to bumper extended warranty that i paid for?
and btw i already fixed my car Ac at independent auto repair, and i just need to spend 50$ for coolant recharge .!

We never denied that he was our customer obviously theres a communication issue here. We know that he bought the car from us. We tried calling him and he did not answer. There is always a diagnostic fee if we find a problem the diagnostic fee is removed and the warranty is used to cover the repair. If he would like to cancel his warranty he would have to contact them and cancel it. Just follow the proper channels. Going to bbb for this is ridiculous and a complete waste of everyones time.
