I signed an agreement to buy a 2015 Mini ****** with ****** miles on 3/5/25 with $5,000 cash and remainder financing. Total contract was around $16,430 with remainder of financing through *********. Dealer said they needed to run the car through inspection and detailing before having the car ready for final inspection and delivery. I gave the dealer a $1,000 **** deposit to start the process with a caveat that remaining deposit would be paid at time of vehicle pickup. Then about a week later I start getting bank emails indicating the loan had started and after 1.5 weeks still no car ready for final inspection and delivery. I then got the bank and dealer (Finance *****) on the phone on 3/12/25 and ***** got defensive when bank asked why Ally's car title hadn't been sent to them yet and why they still had the car and hadn't delivered to me. The bank also said that the contract was improper since it indicated I had already paid the $5,000 down payment, which I had not. Here I am nearly 14 days later and the bank loan is still active even though the dealer said they would reverse the loan that day. My $1,000 **** has since been credited back, but the bank loan is still active.A letter was sent to the dealership as well as to ********* on 3/12/25, asking for termination of the contract within 48 hours with a request for a response indicating that it had been completed. As of today, 3/19/25 no correspondence has been received from Ally or the dealership. I appreciate the BBB's help to explain to this company how their process is improper and their follow through indicates deceptive and fraudulent practices. A loan should never be started until the car is ready for delivery. If the dealer agrees to cancel the contract and refund the money it should be done promptly, not when the feel like it or get around to it. My credit history is on the line as well as liability for an asset that is not in my possession.Warm regards,******* *** * *******

At this time, I have been contacted directly by NY Auto Find Inc. regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The company used my credit for nearly three weeks before releasing the loan. In the mean time my credit score has taken a hit. NYAutoFinds illegally obtained a loan in my name and then took their time paying it off without any concern for my credit score.

In response to the complaint, Complaint #********. The customer was informed of the process of getting the vehicle ready for delivery.
The customer decided to cancel the loan. The dealership immediately refunded the deposit and canceled the auto loan.
There were no deceptive practices. Our dealership was forthcoming with all the required information and documents, including but not limited to contracts signed by the customer.
There will not be payment for the claim of time in this matter.
    Thank you in this matter

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This dealership is not reputable or trustworthy. The dealership is incorrect in their description of the events. I submitted a loan application to hold the car so the dealer could provide under carriage pictures and complete the certification process. The company put the loan through without my knowledge or permission. Then after contacting them about it, they took another 2 weeks to cancel the loan. The loan was taken out against my name for nearly a month. This dealer is definitely not reputable or above board. Also learned they are not an authorized Mini dealer so are unable to certify their cars so are fraudulent about this too.  The undercarriage was all rusted so no wonder they kept ignoring my request. Avoid this company at all costs.

    Sincerely,

    *** *******

My boyfriend signed loan documents with NY Auto Find on July 26, 2024. That whole process was so wrong to start with but by the following Friday 8-2-24 they hadnt had the car inspected yet for shipping to MI. On Sunday 8-4-24 we contacted the bank to follow up on the loan and they had not received anything from NY Auto and had nothing pending. That was the last straw. We contacted them on 8-4-24 to say we were canceling the loan since they still had not done anything to ship the car or file loan docs. I asked about the $2,400 downpayment that Sunday and the following Monday. On 8-7-24 I contacted **** about the downpayment and all I receive back is Ill check. They were contacted again today on 8-12-24 about the downpayment, not a deposit per the loan docs that were signed. I am not on the loan or the title but the downpayment was actually made on my card not my boyfriends, ****. They refused to give us a buyers sheet when they sent the loan docs detailing why they car was $1,500 more then the purchase price. They finally sent a picture of a hand written piece of paper with four different numbers but not description as to what they were. After calling again they said the $485 was the inspection and an oil change, brakes and rotors. Not sure they knew it needed those things with an inspection first. $500 for shipping, I was told $800 and they advertise $300 on ********. The other was $800 bank charge. The total of those three and the price of the car was hand written as $9,725 and the total on the loan docs was $9,595. Id just like my downpayment back.

Purchased a car online and had delivered to my home. Car was not as expected, difficulty registering the vehicle. The dealer refused to do anything about the condition of the car.Dealer said they had paid the sales tax and were processing the registration and license. I waited for over a month with no update. I called the company only to be told I needed to send another copy of my drivers license (5th time). Still no update after copy was sent. I went to the *** and had them run the vehicle VIN . There is no record of anything being started. The dealer is not returning my phone calls. I cant legally drive the car.My credit score was impacted by this business sending applications to approx 10 finance companies. Still receiving denials 6 weeks later.

I read the ** Attorney General's settlement against used car dealers in the ***** and *********** where used car dealers used fraudulent sales tactics and practices to cheat New Yorkers and my experience is almost identical with the same practices described in those complaints. I am an attorney in ******* and I purchased a "certified" used Mini ****** from NY Auto Find on May 16, 2024 and took delivery of the car on June 8, 2024. I noticed that the car was bellowing blue and grey smoke. Before this I was told the car was in excellent condition, that it had been serviced by the dealer before shipment and was certitied like all their cars. I took the car to a Mini dealer and was told the turbocharger and exhaust pipe had to be replaced, that this issue was longstanding and with the amount of smoke from the car-impossible to miss. I was told that a condition of the purchase was that I buy a warranty for over $2,600. The warranty has an exlcusion for pre-existing conditions. I was never allowed to see the warranty before signing it. I only received the warranty copy on June 13, 2024. The whole process of buying the car starts online where you have to agree to the warranty before you get to the next page to even see the interest rate. I informed the salesman that the car was generating a lot of smoke from the exhaust-he told me that is totally normal and to drive it. He was just trying to get me to wait beyond 30 days. When I told the dealer by text message and then by formal letter what the Mini dealer found (repairs in excess of $7,000)-they told me that their service manager ************************* would contact me. ****** said initially that they would pick up the car and fix it for a fraction of the costs. But then made a reference to my being a "50 year old woman" and said I would have to ship the car from ******* to ********.

At this time, I have not been contacted by NY Auto Find Inc. regarding complaint ID ********.  The costs for repairing the car I was assured was in excellent condition were $9,500.  The car needed a new turbo, front struts, catalytic converter, spark plugs and exhaust pipe.  The car was listed for just under $17k as "certified.'

The service manager ****** called the Mini dealer who did the repairs and asked if they could just use a high pressure washer and wash the exhaust pipes?  The dealer said that would do nothing to fix the problem and they did not do such things.

Hello, On 2/27 of this year, I went to the auto dealership NY Auto Find located in **********, ** and placed a deposit on a 2017 Mini Clubman ********************* Works. I was not able to finalize the deal on the day of my visit so I left a check for $1000 as a deposit. The salesman told me they would hold the check until the deal was finalized or canceled, at which point the check would be cashed or destroyed if the deal did not go through.I found out the next week that the car had been sold to another party and the check I had left had been cashed.I received assurance over a week ago that I would receive a check in the mail for the amount of the deposit. I have still not received a check and no correspondence from the dealer. I am seeking the return of my money and I am registering a complaint for this deceptive and fraudulent business practice.

BUYER BEWARE! GET THINGS IN WRITING!All I was asking was a fair & ethical purchase with the items that were listed in the car's ad. They have now called me liar and I must really hate them for making these false claims. Prior to the purchase, I asked the sales guy to verify all the options on the vehicle as I had been in the market for Mini for some time, but some didnt have all the options I wanted. I told him I saw the car from Car Gurus and after he callec back & confirmed all of the options listed, I purchased my vehicle from them - and had it shipped out of state (from NY to MN). The shipping cost was agreed upon by both parties and it would be added to the price of the vehicle. Five days later, the vehicle arrived WITHOUT several of the options that were listed and that I have actual pictures of from the advertisement! GPS/Satellite, Backup Camera, Bluetooth, and Parking Sensors. I contacted him immediately & told him there was a strange sound AND missing options that were listed. I asked to return the *********** offered to pay for shipping back to the dealership and was told "this isn't a shirt that you can just return". Several attempts of me asking for service history, finally texted back saying they don't keep records and why would they invoice themselves? I said bc there should be a record on the vehicles you sell! He said he would email me something, but never did. Repeated emails & calls went unanswered, I filed a complaint with the ** Attorney General for Consumer Fraud. Miraculously, the day after I filed my complaint, I received a text saying I could return the vehicle and they offered me two options: 1st option: I pay them $2,387.50 to ship back. 2nd option: I pay $1287.50 to the dealership + the cost of using my own shipping carrier (received a quote for $1094 to ship back to them). Paying them $1,287.50 to return a car is a joke!GET THINGS IN WRITING! HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN! GET THINGS IN WRITING!

In response to the complaint , we would like to update you and bring to your attention that we have been in close contact with *****************************. Our Service Manager provided ***** with a reasonable resolution. We are waiting to hear back from her.
Below you will find a response to the information provided in the complaint by ******************************

Prior to the purchase of the vehicle, ***** worked with our salesman **** and they did correspond via telephone and text message. ***** was informed that the vehicle was in great condition, however, the options that she is referring to, such as a backup camera were not discussed and more importantly, do not come pre-installed from the factory on any model Mini ******. This feature would be an aftermarket installation.

All our vehicles are serviced onsite at our facility. We are not invoiced for service or repairs. Service Records are not available to provide to customers from our facility, The customer could access a Carfax vehicle history report for service information prior to ownership by our dealership. This information is also available to the customer on our website.

We make it clear to provide vehicle information including the options available for all vehicles listed for sale on our website. The customer can view and download the window stickers. This information was also available to ***** prior to purchase. We also have a disclaimer on every listing on our site. You can review that disclaimer below.

It is the customers sole responsibility to verify the accuracy of the prices with the dealer, including the pricing for all added accessories".
I would also like to state that ***** was aware of the dealership website. She initially processed her application for financing through the website.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The bottom line is that they are straight out lying and using unethical business practices and its my word versus theirs.

All I wanted was a reasonable solution to a vehicle not having the items it was advertised and said to have.

I asked **** to confirm all the options on the car as was listed on CarGurus and he confirmed, I get that it was an error on their part, but to call me a liar and be unwilling to help fix the problem is the unethical. At one point they said wow, you must really hate **** to make up these claims.

They only sent me a picture of the  vehicle sticker after I filled a complaint. And they only offered me their solution AFTER I filled a complaint with the Attorney General.

Their so called reasonable solution to fix this was for ME to pay them over $2000! I offered to pay my own shipping back of the vehicle, and they still said i would need to pay them over $1000. They wanted me to pay them to return a vehicle which was not as advertised!! He said it was for shipping it to me, but I had already paid that cost which we agreeed to put in the price of the vehicle when originally purchased! Then on top of it, they said I would also pay for any damage to the vehicle once it arrived.. which from the experience I had with them, I wouldnt trust them not to damage it themselves and then charge me even more.

I bought a vehicle from NYAutoFind online on 3/4/23. I made them a reasonable offer at fair market value, **** and ***** declined that, saying this vehicle is: certified, in excellent condition, & rare. They told me it's more than worth what they are asking for. I made several attempts to ask if there were any cosmetic/mechanical issues, they said no it's in excellent condition. They severely misled me and misrepresented the vehicle. It was advertised on CarGurus as a "certified used vehicle" with no accidents, but did not send me any certification. We find out they sent it to a shop to have body work done where front & rear bumpers had been damaged & replaced, obviously from an accident that they didn't disclose knowledge of. They left original pieces of old bumper still mounted to the damaged brackets and didn't fully install the new ones. Upon delivery & driving home from the pickup spot, it was immediately obvious this vehicle had major issues, so we sent it to a mechanic. They sent me a report that the inspection found MAJOR concerns with this vehicle. Notably- a rusted mount had a fingerprint across it proving someone had recently seen and neglected to disclose the concern. The brakes are failing and the steering is so severe it pulls all over the road. Mechanic deemed this vehicle unsafe until fixed. We've sent several emails about this purchase. they have been jerking me around and lying, but when my boyfriend called to call him out on that he immediately stopped, alluding to the fact they thought they could deceive me because I'm a woman. **** told my BF that he personally inspected and photo'd this vehicle and was aware of them sending it to the shop to have all of this body work done. He stated there was only surface rust even after we had provided him with pictures proving otherwise. The mechanic valued the vehicle at half the amount we paid for it. If we had had the chance to look at the vehicle before purchase, we would have never fallen for this scam.

    Hi ***********;
My name is *****, ************** assigned to your complaint here at NY Auto Find.
The 2011 Chevrolet suburban was purchased by you agreeing to the selling price. All our vehicles are certified and CARFAX reports on all our vehicles are available for review on our website. In addition, all of our vehicles are serviced and prepped prior to delivery. The vehicle is a 2011, which makes the age approximately 12 years old. It is totally normal to see some type of surface rust on the under-carriage of the vehicle. Your concern about Replacement of the front and rear bumpers does not suggest the vehicle was involved in an accident.  Replacement of Bumpers, do to cracks or scratches is normal, especially when we are Certifiying our vehicles are in good condition and as well as road worthy. The vehicle you purchased is in fact 12 years old, it should be expected to have normal wear for a vehicle of this age. You mention, the door ***** should be replaced, stating the door is sagging. All of your concerns have been noted. Our service agent has been working directly with you on a one-to-one basis to resolve your concerns. The mention that we tried to mislead you because you're a woman, is out of context. You were treated with the up most respect throughout your buying process and that has continued since.
You are welcome to bring your vehicle to our repair facility to have our mechanics go over your concerns.
Please contact us directly so that we can schedule you for a service call.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I did agree to the selling price due to the fact that both Salesmen **** and ***** told me that the vehicle was in excellent condition, was a PRE CERTIFIED vehicle, and was more than worth the amount they were asking for. IF that was the vehicle i received, we would never be in this conversation. This car has been found to be of little value by both Ally Auto and *******************. NY Auto Find does not have the ability to certify any vehicles or claim their vehicles are Certified Pre-Owned, i have come to learn that only official Chevrolet Dealerships can certify vehicles. ****** Find is committing fraud by telling their customers that their vehciels have a CPO. Regardless, any such documentation has never been sent to me to prove otherwise, and ****** admitted over the phone that no such documentation exists. I understand that the vehicle is 12 years old and that means it will have reasonable wear and tear. Your salesmen told me verbally and on several occasions that this vehicle had NO cosmetic and NO mechanical concerns. A certified chevrolet dealership has told us that the structural integrity of the frame is so horrible, they recommend us to not drive the vehicle and try to get out of the sale. This company treats me like I know nothing, like I am a stupid girl and that I don't know what i am talking about. They have seen both inspections that i had done that shows that the vehicle has faulty steering and the brakes don't work, the gas tank is about to fall out, the structural frame is almost completely rusted and compromised. There is no way this vehicle passed any inspections and frankly I have no idea how this vehicle was able to get a temporary registration with the **** I am not an angry and disgruntled customer. I do not have buyers remorse. I expected the vehicle to have minor 12 year old vehicle issues. I did NOT expect the vehicle brakes to be failing, steering horribly misaligned and broken, and framework mostly rusted through. I need this company to return my **** deposit to me along with all of their bogus fees i was charged, the $500 registration that they made up, the money it is costing me to rent a vehicle, and pay back the money to the bank that they had financed. The dealership's idea of working with me is to have me pay to return the vehicle to them for them to "fix". They are refusing to address any issue besides the rear brakes. They know they committed fraud against me and my bank. I need them to address the major structural concerns that were addressed in both inspections. attached is a ******************* certified ***** dealership video inspection, and photo proof of the major concerns i have noted. Somehow this company gets to continue to take advantage of people, mislead them, and misrepresent their vehicles. This needs to end.

I contacted him and he set up a shop near me to take the jeep to I took the jeep on the 19th of may one day after I took possession of it to the shop of his choice. After they inspected the jeep he tagged it unsafe to drive!! So not only will it not pass emissions its been tagged unsafe to operate on Georgia highways due to the rusted steering and braking components. He also stated the painted the rust flat black to try and hide the damaged parts!! I requested a refund he refuses to give me one will not call the shop back and pay the **** he owes on my jeep!!! I need help! My attorney will not take the case because its out of state!!

*** purchased a jeep wrangler from ************ Dealership, which we shipped down to him in **, when he started it up he said the *** and TCS dash lights light were on.

NY Auto Find picked a local shop in Goergia to inspect the issue and fix the problem.

*** Asked asked to take it to a ************** because his neighbor worked there, which we allowed, his neighbor's shop then handed back an estimate for about $2000 saying the truck is severely rotted and unsafe to be driven.

NY Auto Find did not accept these findings. Monday the 23rd *** informed NY Auto Find that he had retained an attorney. At this point NY Auto Find was going to follow the procedures of the Warranty.

Later that day at around 8PM, *** said his attorney wouldn't take the case.

NY Auto Find arranged for the vehicle to be inspected for the issues covered by the warranty and repaired, the vehicle is now at the shop being reparied.

The radio still is inoperable because of the installation of a after market radio and cutting all the wires to the amp and factory plugs. My neighbor just so happen to own the first shop he wanted me to take it to I had no contact with him just the shop manager who laughed at the repairs they done on my jeep. $155.24 was his repair cost with a bandage on the vehicle.C&T repair **** was estimated at $1399.47 so looks to me the unsafe components was not addressed and only a $49.00 cam shaft sensor was replaced. We haven't even touched the dents in the cowl that wasn't disclosed or all the steering components that are damaged from rust. I will enclose both estimates for all to see.The last shop also added the rear tires was so dry rotten I need to replace asap.Ive ask for a full refund from day one and have been denied! Why wasn't I allowed to take it to my two local jeep dealers for inspection? If he's not trying to hide anything that's where I would of preferred to take my 25K dollar used jeep he's denying needing safety repairs. If me or my family gets killed in this jeep some one will be healed liable. If its not unsafe why will he not just give me my money back? Every car has a three day right of refusal for safety issues.I have attached both estimates of repair.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseThe jeep hasn't been fixed!! They addressed the part of emissions but not of safety! Both shops note excessive rust on front knuckles and steering components making the jeep un safe to drive. I will be taking it to a Jeep Dealership in order for them to write a report on the safety of the jeep!! I will also include both reports from the two shops of his choice I took the jeep to!
