well, I applied for a loan with this company, I have a house that worth ******* and I requested a loan for ******* at this time my credit score was a 660/630 and I had about ****. in checking. This was back in October of 2021 I was told that it would take 45 day form that day that the paperwork and appraisal was in. The person in charge of this account was ************************* I was given the run around for months. I was asked to pay down credit cards and to take care of a collection that I was deputing but due to the urgency of the application I paid it to prevent not getting the loan. I paid for appraisal on the house (******) that was unable to be used for the loan because it wasn't done in a timely manner. Last week that I received a letter from ****** stated that her director was working on my loan. Then this week I get a call that my credit to low and that they cant help me. These company offered me a loan with a interest rate of ****% and since I applied for this loan in Oct of 2021 the rates have increased. I know for a fact they didn't give me the loan due to lack of responsibility of the loan office. I requested several time that her director please call me with no result. I am requesting that they refund my fees for appraisal since this wasnt done in a timely manner.Business response

This is not true we spoke he was to speak to his rep and call me back. I called as soon as I saw this and it when voice mail. Receive email from *********************** stating that the answer to BBB was in error and that he need to discuss further the situation. I called left voice mail. Appraisal should be done 2 to 3 week por to closing this company anticipated the appraisal and made me loss money.Business response

Company reached out to me claiming they could assist with my cash out refinance and spent hours on the phone with them. They acted as is they could fulfill my request and went ahead and started an application. They pulled all my credit, had me sign documents, and provide a credit card so they could keep this moving along. After they received all this info they all thr sudden claimed they overlooked a small guideline and could no longer move forward. This is after they pulled all my credit which affects my credit.They claimed that there was a 12 month close before they could use a new appraisal however this was evident up front from the first call and did not day it was an issue.I want my credit fixed - they need to file a report that removes them from my credit search history. They are messing with individuals personal financial history and they are extremely careless.Company appears to be sketchy and borderline fraudulent.Business response

Have used ****** Roebich as broker for last 8 months. Every time I turn in the final paperwork and sign final disclosures , they forgot to finalize my taxes. Or the morning of closing it fell through and I didnt hear from them for nearly 5 more days. Second round and 14k into a loan I dont even own yet final disclosures signed. Now the underwriters throw that Im using my personal number for business, *********** were too large and cant count them. What happens is you get in soo deep and they have so much time and money invested you keep going. If this doesnt go to close this week Im reporting to FDIC to open an investigation into all their loans and loan practices. Eventually it will go federal and shutter the company. They could own up to a reputation of a good mortgage company and close my home or be exposed for a measly 109k with ****% interest! (They rerouted my federal loans because they said it wouldnt go through and we had to do in house). These BBB complaints along with my parents experience (4 years to refinance and 3 appraisals!) make me sad and regretful as a first time homebuyer. Same hoola were done, no were not. This has been an emotionally traumatic 8 months. The ball is in ********************* (the presidents) court. If you are not overseeing your workers then you have to do the work yourself. At the end of this life we only have our word and our reputation and this company has neither right now.Business response

In December of 2021 I answered an advertisement for possible lower interest rate on my mortgage. I was contacted by a representative of the company Reliance First Capital who stated he wished to look into it and that there would be no effect on my credit report. I believe I was lured in because it went immediately as a hard pull on my credit. First red flag and outright lie. Then the agent explored the value of my home asking what I thought it was worth. I said if If had a garage the home would be valued around ******* dollars but that I don't have a garage yet so probably around *******. Then after the christmas new year I told the agent I am not interested in any services from Reliance and that I don't want to waste his or my time. The agent quickly responded by telling me that I wouldn't have to do a thing at that he would get me a lower interest rate. So I let him talk me into moving forward. He says all he needs now is a credit card number for the appraisal fees and I would get that money back through the mortgage. However, now that the appraisal is completed they say it's not enough even though the home is valued ****** more than I paid for it. The agent tells me I have to jump through more hoops and then we can proceed further. I'm not comfortable with the way things are heading. I've now spent ****** dollars out of pocket fees with really nothing to show for it. I'm done playing this string along game. I wasn't comfortable from the beginning. My home is already in a good position and I don't need their services. Also, I have a coworker who is dealing with an almost identical situation with this same company. His mortgage isn't even 1 year yet and First Reliance Capital is promising him things that aren't coming through. They just keep stringing along getting more money out of pocket. I believe their is something much more sinister going on here with Reliance First Capital. I'm about to contact the ****************************** about this issue as well.Business response

*************************** of reliance first Capital is a despicable human being I was open and honest with him about my situation my credit was good my payment history was stellar and he gave me the runaround for over 7 months for a refinance on a home that I owned outright I paid out of pocket juggled my finances and took out small loans in order to meet the requirements that were spoon-fed to me over the course of the months this nightmare lasted. Appraisals and engineering certificates for which he endorsed me shuffling credit cards and obtaining loans in order to cover He ignored my calls he talked fast and slick and promised calls back that he never made. Then 2 months after I cut communication he had the audacity to call me back and ask me if I had obtained a survey. My mom was switched from FHA to conventional back to FHA and back to conventional and the original loan amount that I qualified for had dropped drastically the expenses I had paid out put me further behind financially and to make a long story short I have to sell my house and move my family into a camper. ******************* and reliance first Capital destroyed my credit and drowned me in financial ruin. I wasn't even that desperate to begin with I had a credit score of 650 no delinquencies on my credit report 99% on time payment record for the last 5 years and a home that I owned out right. The dishonesty and nightmarish business practices of *************************** and reliance first Capital have utterly destroyed me.Business response

After reading other review it seems like this is a trend from this mortgage company. We were seeking to refinance our home and were solicited by Reliance First Capital. We went through the motions of a refinance (very stressful). My loan Rep seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing in the beginning, but I stuck with him and gave him everything he asked of us and in a very timely manner. So the next step was to get the house appraised. At this point ,we should have known whether we were totally approved and everything they needed was in before they submitted an appraisal and before I paid the money to get it appraised (our loan officers stated everything was good all we needed was the value of our home ) So after he said everything was good and he order an appraisal on the house ,( we had to go FHA which requires an appraisal) they took my credit card and charge ****** ( Even thought the Appraiser only got ******) They appraiser said that we had to add and rail to our poach and paint our house before he could submit a value on the house. We did all the additions and repairs like was required. We had to pay another ****** for the appraiser to come back out and reappraise for the value. At this point we are out of $675 .Our loan Rep then calls to tell me that they didn't get what they needed from my mortgage company so they can't approve us. (BTW..which was false. I have all the paperwork from my mortgage company) this is after we paid all this money and changed the aesthetic of our home. To conclude, I thought this was poorly done they took $675 for me and overcharged us for the appraisal. Our Loan Rep even mentioned that he would pay us the $175 back out of his own pocket but of course that didn't happen. I do not recommend Reliance First Capital for anybody doing a refinance or home line of credit ,I do not recommend this company I wish I would have never answered the phone from them and all I want is resolution of my $675 back .Business response

I had inquired about refinancing an income property, after answering all their question and supplying all the requirements. I was told that as long as my appraisal was for enough we would be all set. After paying for appraisals was told everything is all set it came back above what was needed and now just to update paperwork. A month latter and they, then pulled the financing and wanted me to spend more money on cosmetic updates to the house and repairs to the barn along with new and different inspections again looking for more money before they would continue.Business response

This company calls constantly every hour on the hour. It is at the point of harassment. I dod request information about refinance but have since received that information. The calls need to stop.Business response

Our firm received an online inquiry on Oct. 24th featuring this individual's phone number. We reached out in response to the inquiry and were not able to make contact. Our firm received an online inquiry for this customer and our firm reached out in response to the inquiry. The customer requested DNC on Oct. 18th and we tagged her information as DO NOT SOLICIT in our system...and no further calls or texts were made to the customer.
