I bought a Nikon CoolPix B500 12/14/20. I recently noticed the screen was shattered. Nikon insists there was an impact. Their refuse to honor their warranty. They want to charge over $130 to repair a $200 camera. Their Warrantee dept rules ANY shattered screen not covered. “The repair may be covered under your manufacturer’s warranty as long as there is no impact damage.” (Jessicah Senior Representative Nikon Customer Support 9/14/21) This warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subjected to misuse, alteration, abuse, negligence or accident or has had its serial number altered or removed. It has not been misused, abused or neglected. There is NO sign of abuse, impact, scratches, dents, or damage. It has been used very few times. Email 10/11/2021 from Rashida - Nikon Technical Support: A cracked screen means that there was some form of impact to the camera. Impact damage voids the warranty. Nikon hides behind a worthless warranty they never intend to honor.Business response
