      On December 1, 2022 I purchased a XS leather jacket as a Christmas gift. I was charged $188.99. When I received the Jacket On December 8th it had no tags of any kind. The jacket was too large and I had 14 days to return the jacket if I had all the original packaging with the reason why I was returning it. I emailed James leather that exact day and had to wait for a response. I received an email back by ***** December 10th. Stating they would highly recommend a custom made jacket to get the measurements sent to them, as long as I mailed back the original jacket with tracking to them. I mailed the jacket to them on December 13th with the tracking. She went ahead and charged me an additional fee $85.50 for the custom jacket. Once she received my money I then could send in my measurements. They sent me a ******* video on how to measure accordingly for the custom jacket. My husband and I followed it precisely. I was gave a few extra inches for each measurement. I sent the measurements in on December 15th. We received the jacket on January 5, 2023.The jacket didn't fit it was extremely tight the shoulders were pointed like a ***************************** costume. The Jacket doesnt resemble a jacket of any kind. The chest is too tight, the waist and arms are too tight. The measurements were completely off. The jacket is not wearable. I emailed ***** right away. My husband and I re-measured the jacket and Sent pictures as requested by *****. ***** then emailed me back Jan 8, 2023 saying my pictures were off, the measurements were correct as sent. They even attached a video measuring the jacket from the exterior prior to mailing it. The video they sent, showed them measuring on the exterior of the jacket not the interior. Of course they wouldnt be correct measurements. I emailed them back requesting a refund, they told me its nonrefundable and I can take it to a tailor. We paid $274.49 and want a full refund. James Leather has not returned any of my emails since Jan. 11, 2023

      I purchased two leather jackets at a cost of ******. When the jackets arrived, they smelled so bad I had to put them in my garage. They had sticky stuff on them and the stitching with awful. There were random peices of leather sticking out from seams. I sent pictures to the manufacturer and requested a refuned. I closely followed the refund steps on their website and it has been two months and I still havent received a refund. I have emailed requesting an update on the refund and the last few emails have went unanswered. I strongly discourage people from ordering from this website.

      I bought a leather briefcase online, from James Leather in **. When it arrived it was sticky all over. It has bad stitching, the snaps to hold it closed are loose, and there was plastic and glue on the handle. I have called and noone answers. I have left several messages and emails. I would like to return the briefcase and get a refund.

      I ordered a Mens leather travel bag and received the wrong bag. *** contacted ***** multiple times and we just keep sending emails over and over. I be sent pictures of the bag I ordered and the bag I received. The bag I ordered is still for sale on the web site so I assume you still carry it. I would like the bag I ordered and hope I dont have to send any more requests for the correct bag.Please help me with this situation cause going round and round sending emails back and forth isnt working for me.       On July 7th 2022 I placed an order for the Casual Women Soft Leather Backpack. On July 13th I received delivery from ***** of a bag that was nothing like the bag I originally ordered. The bag received was NOT a bag listed on their website. The zipper was broken and quality was not true to the what vendor stated on their website. I emailed James Leather to dispute and request return of merchandise and refund. I returned the product on July 17th to an address in ******, ** (which if you look it up it is a parking lot surrounded by apartment complexes). I have been going back and forth for two months with the company to check on the status of my refund. *****, the representative, tells me they are having technical difficulties with their system. I have never heard of such a thing, it does not take two months to get a refund. I do not understand how this business can remain active with its unethical practices. As of today 8/29/22 no refund and as a customer, it is tiresome trying to resolve dispute with the company.

      Bag purchase on 5/30/22 never received and I use a tracking device on all order I make online and it was alway on ready to be shipped stage meaning **** is awaiting package. I paid a flat rate of 200$ I just want my 200$ back

      On April 24, 2022, I paid James Leather $314.99 for a custom leather jacket. I gave all of my measurements, which were correct. The jacket that was delivered to me is unwearable.

      I would like to address the issue of easement with the BBB, Complaint # ********, as it is the crux of my complaint with James Leather. 

      The loophole that James Leather will use against me is that “easement” was offered, but not taken by me.  I had never even heard the term, and nowhere was it explained on the James Leather website.  I exchanged many emails with James Leather on how to measure myself for the jacket.  I watched the YouTube videos on how to measure oneself for a jacket, as recommended by James Leather.  I sent them photos of me in my current 40” chest leather jacket, to demonstrate how it fit me.  I can send you my dialog with James Leather on how to measure for a jacket, if you wish.  It is some seven emails in depth.  Despite all of my questions on how to measure for a jacket, and all of their recommended videos I watched, nowhere was easement discussed. 

      The following is from the James Leather website:
      “P.S. Please send all the measurements with adding your preferred easement (some extra inches for comfort) if needed. We won't be adding any easement and only follow your given measurement sizes. If the jacket doesn't fit/feel comfortable later following your measurements, that will be your liability.”

      I would like to address the James Leather description of easement, above.  Easement is defined as “extra inches for comfort, if needed”. 

      After receiving my James Leather product, and finding that I could barely zip up the leather jacket, much less move my arms, I assumed that I measured myself incorrectly.  I made an appointment to get measured by Natalia, of Natalia's Alteration and Tailoring.  Natalie measured me, and got the same measurements as I did.  She then measured the James Leather jacket I brought with me.  She noted that the chest measurement of the jacket was exactly the same as my chest.  As my tailor here in Eugene explained it to me, easement is not an option for a jacket; it is mandatory.  Any tailor knows this.  Natalie said that four inches or more is always added to the chest measurement when tailoring a jacket.  There is no scenario where the actual chest measurement is ever used in constructing a jacket, because movement is simply not possible. 

      I have spent a great deal of time and effort on this custom sized jacket, and I feel that James Leather was not forthcoming.

      Paid $214.98 on 06/05/2022 for a purse. $29.99 was for expedited shipping. As of 06/22/2022 I have not received a shipping notification or any other response. I contacted them twice via email through their website and they have not responded. My order number is *****. I would just like to cancel the order and get a refund for the item.
