Date of Service: 2/15/23 Charged for a diagnostic HSG test as a surgical procedure. It is not a surgical procedure. I believe that the hospital is overcharging their patients for this diagnostic test. Tried to resolve it with the billing department and my insurance company on the same phone call. Northern Westchester Hospital refused to work with us on it. They also refused to negotiate. They are billing my insurance company as if this was a surgical outpatient procedure. It is in fact a radiological outpatient procedure. Very different consequences when it comes to patient responsibility. $500 versus $0.
