Good Afternoon,On August 22nd I hired National Apostile to facilitate the authentication and notary of my late fathers death certificate. I was charged $1214.00 dollars and have not received the documents necessary. Its been over 5 months, more importantly no-one at the office answers calls or emails! Yet they answer emails and they do call when collecting my payment. I need my fathers death certificate back! please! I need it back with the necessary stamps requested or atleast refund my money back and send me back my original death certificate please.Customer Answer

On 6/6/2022 our company placed an order for preparing the Apostille of the Death Certificate with the National Apostille, Inc. Service fee in amount of $295 was paid online on 6/6/2022. Completed order form, confirmation of payment and a copy of the Death Certificate were mailed out to the address indicated in the order form on 6/7/2022. According to the **** tracking, the documents were delivered on 6/9/2022.On 6/22/2022 we were advised by National Apostille, Inc. that additional document (Exemplification letter) was required to be provided. The original Exemplification letter was delivered to National Apostille, Inc. on 7/21/2022 (**** tracking report is attached). We were advised that the estimated processing time for preparing the apostille of the Death Certificate is 3-4 weeks. A copy of the email from the customer support representative with the timeframes is attached for your reference. On 7/25/2022 we were informed by the customer support representative that our order was still in process, however since that time we have not received any updates from them. We have been trying to contact them via phone, email, and using their online form on a website numerous time to no avail. As of yet we have not received any answer from them or the completed document. In view of the aforementioned we would like the company, National Apostille, Inc., to refund us $295 for the services that were not provided. On 8/18/2022, I contacted National Apostille, *** via their website chat function (************************** - I filled out a form regarding my needs which was to obtain an apostille for a CT birth certificate. That same day, the company replied with an email with information and instructions. ***luded in the information was a statement that the turnaround time to process a CT apostille is 3-4 weeks. On 8/22/2022, I mailed my forms ***** priority mail for $8.95) which included my credit card number. On 8/30/2022, my credit card was charged $325. Since then, despite numerous attempts to reach the company to ask about the status of my order, I have received no replies. I have left approximately 4 phone messages at the various numbers listed on their website, and I have sent 3 emails using the email addresses also listed on their website. One email is a non-functioning email - my email was sent back. There has been not one reply from the company, and I have not received an apostille. It is now almost 2 months since my credit card was charged. I am requesting the help of BBB to hold National Apostille *** accountable and refund the $8.95 **** mailing fee and the $325 apostille charge which I have not received. Also, just as important is that the company, which I now don't trust at all, has a certified copy of my birth certificate - this is confidential information. Please let me know if you'd like a copy of the **** mail receipt, the credit card charge, and emails that I have sent to the company.Customer Answer

I have emailed, and called this office for order status of documents and I have gotten no response. I sent a Marriage Certificate for Apostille to the Manhattan ******** Apostille Office via *** (Tracking number was ******************) and it was billed on August 22, 2022 for $295, Receipt # ****-4259.It's been 5 weeks and I have not received my documents. I believe National Apostille, Inc. is scamming people and has gone out of business because there's no response via email or telephone number. I also believe that (*****************************) the President of National Apostille, Inc. has started another company *** Apostille, **** because it's almost an identical website https://www.apostilleservices.com, same office location cities, and President has the same last name- *********************************. Date of the transaction: 5/19/22 The amount of money paid to the business: $350.00 What the business committed to provide me: International Apostille for ***** of *************** of the dispute: The committed document was never provided, original documents were never returned, credit card was charged for the service.The business has not tried to resolve the problem by any means, phone or email. When calls were made to them I was yelled at and told to email and called a psycho. No one was ever available to speak by phone or in the office. When emailed I did not receive proper responses or any response at all. The indicated time on the business website is 7-9 business days but its now over 3 months with no documents provided. I paid National Apostille with 5 separate checks for multiple apostilles from various states and have only received one to date. The first check was written on 5.18.22 and the last check was written on 6.1.22. I have written *************************, the President of the company several times and called twice asking for information about these orders to no avail. I have asked in my most recent email for specifics from the records of which apostilles were sent for each check amount. No one from that company ever gets back to me. I called again today and they always tell me ****** is not in the office and ******** is never available. She never answered my last email of 7.26.22. I have spent a lot of money for apostilles AND I SENT ORIGNIAL DOCUMENTS THAT *** NOT BE RETURNED TO ME. I am very upset about this. I need someone to help me please!The checks were check **** on 5.18.22 for $290; check **** on 5.18.22 for $275; check **** on 5.19.22 for $195; check **** on 6.1.22 for $290; check **** on 6.1.22 for $290, totaling $1340.00. All of these checks were cashed by them.I want to know exactly what was sent out for apostille for each date of service and check amount that they cashed. I want to know what they intend to do to fulfill this payment and request for apostilles. I want to know what they intend to do about these missing documents.Please help me as I don't know what other recourse I have available to me.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by National Apostille, Inc. regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
On August 11, 2022, ******** emailed me saying my "documents are being processed and will be ready in 2-3 weeks." She has never provided the information I originally asked for detailing which apostilles were sent out for which checks and to which states. My attorney has also contacted them via mail and email on August 19, 2022 to no avail. Attached please find his letter.
