I paid ***** Accountant to do my book keeping and accounting for the 2024 year. I paid them approximately $3300.00, a year ago. Since that date they have done nothing! My taxes are due and they have nothing completed. They are totally inept and I need them to complete my taxes!Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not fully acceptable. My taxes are due April 15th! You need ***** days to review my compliant. Today is 3-31-2025! That is not sufficient! My taxes will not be done in the correct time frame and you will have to file a extension which I DO NOT WANT! You have not completed any work on my taxes, you have not contacted me, you have not completed ANY OF THE ***** OR WORK I PAID FOR! I am sincerely dissatisfied with your company! I paid $869 in Jan of 2024 to file my 2023 taxes. I was told to upload my docs. to file. After submitting my required docs, a *** told me I also have to submit docs for my personal taxes along with the *** and theyd be charging an additional fee. I then started questioning them about why I wasnt told this from the start. The *** told me that someone would get in touch with me regarding the situation because I SHOULD had been informed. No one got back to me about it until the beginning this current year. ***** M called me to get more money from me for tax filing for 2024. I explained to her what happened the previous yr. She agreed they owed me the filing for 2023. When she contacted me after investigating, she basically told me she didnt know why I was never told about the personal taxes and told me the person that handled that is no longer working there. I told her I would go ahead and pay the additional $417 for them to do my personal taxes so I can just be done with them and their services. She told me once I paid I should be able to go into the online portal to submit my docs for 2023. Upon realizing i could not submit my forms, I also noticed I had a refund from them pending in my bank acc for $417. I called her back to tell her I wasnt able to submit my docs because the system wouldnt allow it and I also had a refund from them pending that I hadnt requested. She told me that must be a mistake and went on tell me she fixed everything I should now be able to submit my docs. When I looked at my bank acc again an additional $417 was taken out of my bank account without my authorization on 03/21/25. It has been over a year of the back and forth with this company, I cannot submit my documents because they have me locked out of their system, every time Ive asked to speak to a supervisor Ive been ignored, no services have been rendered, and I did not give them permission to take out $417 from my bank on 03/21/25. I paid this company $3,000 to handle the filing of taxes and any other accounting needs. I was delayed in getting the requested documents for them to file the taxes and mentioned to them I was having medical issues including multiple ER visits and losing my ability to walk. After sending over the document they failed to communicate with me and never filed the tax information. There were no services rendered by this company despite paying them.Business Response

I have been paying for 1800 Accountant for a few years now. In this time we have been hacked 3x. Once the hacker got an employees information and caused horrible damage and more recently employees were found that have never worked here. I noticed i was scheduled to pay MD taxes. I do not have an employee in **. I reached out and the ****** who I was dealing with could not or would not find it. The second ****** was able to help me and delete it and find the problem...which was an employee entered that NEVER worked here!I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no way to get a *** to a manager. In ADDITION, I was told they would file my quarterly taxes and that was NEVER done! I am fed up and feel screwed by this company! I would like my money back and I will go elsewhere.Business Response

on January 29, 2025 after our initial consultation phone call the sales *** said that they were going to provide me with real estate investment tax advice. Give me one ******** or trust for my investment property. The initial cost was supposed to be $2500 bucks. they ended up charging me. $2949. After my attempt to have them readjust the first charge, they said that I would need to speak with a tax consultant first.They kept trying to provide me accounting service for a pre-existing business. I told them that I didnt have and that I was a real estate investor.Each meeting an appointment was followed up 10 days apart, after I finally talked to my tax consultant, he had little to know, knowledge about real estate, investing, and tax advantages. I requested a refund, but they refused to give me a refund saying I was past the 30 day window when I didnt even get a chance to talk to the actual tax accountant until after five weeks. I reached out to management a couple of times requesting a phone call every time management has ignored my calls and emails saying that they triedto call me but never called me back. Ive been trying to get a refund now for three weeks.They keep giving me the ring or putting me in a loop trying to sell me and provide me with services that I dont need and refused to contact me. I filed a dispute with my credit card company as well and Im awaiting ***ayment. The services that they are trying to provide me are not needed for my situation and it was very well addressed in my consultation call but the individual just wanted to sell me a package so he could get his commission.And not only that upsell me on a package that I told him that I didnt need and I expressed that throughout this whole situation.Business Response

I opened my own LLC and paid 1800accounts $2789.00 to perform booking duties and tax help for my business. I have tried contacting them for over a month through phone and email to get help with filing my taxes and no ones ever answers the phone, no one ever responds to my emails and using the help chat on there portal does not work. It always says no one is available, even during business hours. I can not file my taxes now due to this company withholding information needed to complete my business filing. I'm asking for my money to be refunded as they have never helped me and have now hindered me from filing my taxes.Business Response

I paid all my dues including $4094 and $257 monthly. Business has not replied on me since November. Paid $1,199 for 1 year of "Tax Advisory", since July 2024 we have not had a person assigned as our tax accountant, tax advisor or administrative support. We briefly used this company for payroll and bookkeeping, and for some reason those specialists are still on there - but when I attempt to contact them - no response. I've been charged several times and then have to send a support tickets for them to refund the amount because the service was supposed to be part of the contract I have been given incorrect and just plain wrong information for our business. With no warning or notification they changed our payroll provider and 401k provider. I cancelled the monthly payroll service as soon as I realized what was happening. They continued to draw funds from my account incorrectly after they were no longer in charge of payroll. There has been no contact from a tax advisor to assist us with "year-round tax consultations", per our agreement. All of the advisors that we initially had were less then "specialists."I've been paying a third party to be our accountants since September 2024 - as I had/have no faith in 1800accountant abilities. I contacted them via phone and explained the situation and they said that they only refund up to 30 days from the date of signing. We received 0 help from this company, from our "advisors" and from their customer support.Business Response

***Do not use this company**I subscribed 2/19/2025 ****** on of the team managers was very nice and made her team sound very professional.The reason I decided to cancel was when I spoke to ****** she hyped how awesome the team was and how they were going to provide, guide me & help me get p***ared for my taxes. She sched an appt for me to speak with a *** on Sat 3/9 at 10:30am. I work Sat I changed my work sched for this appt. I received & email/ text message Sat confirming my appt at 10:30am I never rcvd a call then I logged into your 800 accounting site & was chatting with someone asking what happened with my 10:30 I was told you will be called at 5EST. 2pm PST came by and I never got a call. At 2:12 & 2:13 I got a call phone rang twice then hung up. I called their 800 machine said they were closed for the day. I left a message to ****** requesting to cancel & the reason why. No call and poor customer service.***** called me Monday I explained to her again why my desire to cancel she was very pushy trying to set another appt for the tax consultation. I firmly said no thank you please have a manager call me. Never got a manager call. Then spoke to ***** **** accounting I was informed they will cancel me but I was not getting a full refund. I was charged $295.00 cancelation fee and I did not rcvd any services nor was informed at time of enrolling their cancelation fee. Spoke with ***** 3/13/2025 in their escalation **** and apparently there are no managers I can speak to and said that what we charge to cancelation fee your not getting a full refund you can do whatever you want.Terrible customer service once you subscribe with them. I am writing to formally file a complaint against 1800 Accountant for their failure to provide the services I paid for and their lack of responsiveness, which has significantly impacted my business operations.I signed up for 1800 ************ services on a payment plan totaling nearly $3,000, which I paid in monthly installments for six months beginning in June/July 2024. Despite fulfilling my financial obligation, 1800 Accountant has failed to properly render the services I was promised.Since December 2024, I have encountered the following issues:Lack of ********************** My Account Manager repeatedly failed to answer my questions regarding my business. Meetings were frequently rescheduled or canceled, leaving me without the necessary guidance. Documentation shows my concerns went unanswered despite multiple inquiries.Failure to Resolve Issues I submitted multiple tickets and complaints to 1800 ************ support team, yet the issue was never resolved, nor were my questions addressed.Last-Minute ************************ Execution My Account Manager briefly glanced at my tax documents, then transferred me to another accountant. Due to these delays, I was unable to file my taxes until March 2025.Continued Neglect from New Accountant My new accountant, ******, ignored my pending questions from December. When I finally secured a meeting in March to address my concerns, ****** canceled the meeting at the last minute. This lack of service has severely disrupted my business operations, created significant stress, and delayed essential tax filings. I paid for a service that was never fully rendered, despite my repeated efforts to seek assistance.I kindly ask for the BBBs assistance in resolving this matter, as I have exhausted all internal options with 1800 Accountant.
