I submitted all of my tax documents on April 4, 2025, with the expectationper the platformthat my return would be completed by April 15. On the morning of April 16, I logged in only to discover that my account had been reassigned to a different accountant without any notice. This reassignment reset the estimated completion timeline to April 28, which was incredibly frustrating given the original deadline.I expressed my concerns immediately, and although the new accountant acknowledged the delay and the reassignment, communication remained inconsistent and inadequate. Over the next two days, I sent multiple messages requesting a copy of my return so I could review what I owed and determine how I preferred to pay.Despite repeated requests, I was told I would not be allowed to see the return until I provided my bank account and routing information. This is unacceptable. I clearly stated that I would be paying by check and just needed to see my return to know what amount to prepare for.Instead of receiving the return, I received vague replies reiterating prior messages and deflecting my concerns. This experience felt less like professional tax preparation and more like having my return held hostage until I agreed to terms I wasn't comfortable ******* short, my return was completed late, I was reassigned without warning, and I was denied access to view my own tax documents unless I shared banking detailswhich I explicitly declined. If I could give it 0 stars I would To whom it may concern,I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the services weve received from 1-800Accountant. Before working with your company, we had never experienced any issues with the *** or delays in filing our taxesour record was clean and consistent for years.Since entrusting 1-800Accountant with our tax preparation, we are now three years behind. The delays in filing were not due to our own inaction, but because your team failed to file on time and made multiple errors in our tax forms. These included misspellings of our city and even our names, which led to confusion with the ***. As a result, our identity is now being questioned, and we are essentially stuck in tax year 2022, unable to move ********** addition to these setbacks, we are now facing late fees and penalties that could have been avoided had your team performed their duties correctly and timely. This situation has caused us significant stress, financial strain, and has completely disrupted our ability to maintain our financial responsibilities.We trusted your company to help us stay organized and compliant, and instead, we are left trying to clean up a mess we didnt create.I am requesting immediate assistance and a clear resolution path so we can finally get caught up and restore our standing with the ***. I used Legal Zoom to start my single member LLC in Jan 2025. They had 1800accountant spam call me multiple times and when I finally answered they make it seem like they are there to give advice, but it was really so they would scare me into buying their service. I paid $2949 thinking it was a good idea for my business and as of April 2025 I still do not have a "tax accountant" assigned to me. Also they had me listed LLC taxed as ****** which I am not. You cannot get a refund after 30 days and you have to call to cancel it. I've been given no other instruction on what to do, deadlines or anything (I'm not an accountant or tax expert obviously) and have no clue otherwise. This was an expensive mistake on my part. As business owners we pay for other people to do the things we cannot, just as people hire us. This feels like a scam now. Do not use.1-800Accountant

I paid a significant amount for this firm to handle both the bookkeeping and tax preparation for my single-member LLC. Unfortunately, they mishandled my books for the entire year. Then, on the day before taxes were due, the accountant informed me that the bookkeeper needed to redo the entire year's books. He stated he couldn't complete the tax filing in time and advised me to file an extension.He provided instructions that didn't work in their portal and never responded to my follow-up inquiries for new instructions. When I called, I was on hold for 50 minutes, only to be told, "Get a pen and write this website down to file the extension yourself because we don't have time to do it today." This situation arose solely due to their mishandling.I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this firm. If zero stars were possible, that would be my rating.1-800Accountant

Next time, you claim that you have CPAs, please remember that they are good for nothing. They definitely broke their oaths.I took their service in 2024 for help advising my llc and file personal and business taxes. 1. They don't know the tax rules. They payroll specialists helped me pay out salary for myself even though I am the sole owner. Later during tax preparation, in April the preparer tells me it's is not allowed. They could not even reverse it and I missed the tax deadline.2. Forget business advice, they don't even tell how much tax is owed. Since they could not file taxes, they atleast should be able to tell how much money I owe. They are incapable to do that 3. They don't respond to emails or messages 4. Only way to reach them is by scheduling a call through their portal, the appointments are atleast 2-3 out 5. Their tax questionnaire is so useless, it asked every calculation and detail. If you can fill that questionnaire, you can file the taxes yourself.6. The portal is so difficult to navigate, there is no way to find the documents they sent you, there is no way to find paystubs of salary ******** won't even know how much you paid your employees 7. ***, they charged us $4300 and they couldn't even file the tax returns on time. Couldn't even calculate and tell how much tax is owed.1-800Accountant

Told the guy I no longer had the business. And was told he cancelled my subscription. They charged me again and told me oh because I processed it a month out, we cant issue a refund. I wish I never even tried to go here. I couldve did my taxes myself anyways. Theres using the same platform that everyone else use. No need to use them anyways. Not worrying about it. I just have to dispute it on the bank side. Sad that the customer service treating customers with such disrespect and hanging up the phone as well.
