3 starsThe flight experience is always wonderful. The food is great. The flight attendants are great. The perks for people with status are nice, but theres no dedicated customer service team to go with loyal flyers. That means you have to go through normal customer service on the app or by phone. The reps are among the worst Ive ever experienced.. They are friendly, but they arent competent and dont follow through on promises. No one seems to have authority to do anything, including compensating a customer for mistakes made by the airline. For example, I was walked to the door of the aircraft by the ticketing agent. As we walked, he was apologetic over a glitch in Qatar Airways system that made my fam *** me the last people on the plane (almost missing our flight) and told me he was upgrading me to business class. When we got to the door of the plane, the lead flight attendant said there were no business class seats left and that I should go to my regularly-assigned economy seat. I filed multiple complaints through the online system for other issues and received confirmation numbers along with a note saying Id be contacted soon. I didnt receive a response after a month, so I called. The guy assured me, after I told him I doubted anything would happen, that he would have someone get back to me in 2-3 days. Two weeks later, Im still waiting. Ill keep trying, but the amount of time and energy *** put into getting customer service to do its job is unacceptable.Review fromPhavanh K

1 starPurchase a ticket for my sister from US **** on 11/25/24 return on 12/10/24 paid over $1700 but on the return there is a major schedule change from ******* to **** but when I checked in *** Vietnam air counter check me and my luggage all the way to ** but when I get to *******, they said I dont have any ticket and my name is not in system.After that I tried to contact my agent. They told me because I am not confirmed. Im not confirm why they let me board From *** to ******* I am not my ticket thats make me really confuse and Qatar told me I have to get a new tickets so I called my agent to re-issue the tickets. My question is Qatar airline have schedule change . How come Qatar airline didnt take care of me since I have my ticket already why they have me get a new ticket and charge me penalty which is over$600. This how Qatar treat the customer I save every ***** to go back home but they charge me in five minutes over $600. Thats really sad. I hope it not happening to other Passengers ????Review fromSajid R

1 starTerrible Service! No Customer Service!I paid for excess Luggage for my mother ticket. Qatar airways charged from my credit card. and then they stop my mom on ***************, demanding money saying that excess payment is not appearing in the system. My Mom paid in cash and took the reciept. Because staff of qatar airways were not allowing my mother to travel until payment is made. After the travel we reach out to qatar airways and presented them proof of double payment. but they refuse to acknowledge and return the payment. Absolutely no transparency. Since then we left travelling via qatar airways and I will continue to spread the word to my circle for this injustice.This is the standard of world top airline. 1 starA terrible airline. They don't understand putting a suit doesn't make you civilized. We bought a ticket from ** to *****. We were traveling in a group. By mistake two of us reserved and paid for a seat then we realized that the group had already reserved a seat for us. In less than 4 hours we tried to cancel but some Indians with terrible accents that was almost impossible to understand they refused to refund us. We explained that it is not even 4 hours and this reservation was made by mistake and they kept repeating "Policy, policy!". Never again with this garbage airline.Review fromStephanie H

1 starWe flew from **** to *** on Qatar Airways on August 19, 2024. Sadly, one of our bags was lost during the transit. A lady sits at the baggage counter informed us that lost bag would be sent to us through ***************** to **************. The same lady from Qatar Airways also told us we would get more details about when ***************** would deliver our bag such as flight number and date of delivery. We asked if the bag could be sent straight to our home since the mistake was Qatar Airways', but the same lady said no in a very firm and rude way. So we left the airport and decided to wait for more information from Qatar Airways about our missing bag.While we were waiting, we tried over and over again to get the latest from Qatar Airways but we didn't have any luck. We felt frustrated because we didn't get any updates. We sent many emails and made many calls, but no one could give us accurate information even though we gave them the reference number that Qatar Airways gave us. We have proofs of the calls we made and the emails we sent. We kept getting responses saying our messages were noted, but we never heard back from Qatar Airways. We even tried to check with *****************, but that didn't help either. Then, on August 27th, luckily my call was connected to baggage service at *** and the same lady answered who confused us by saying we were already given the details about when it is delivered to ************** and it was delivered on August 20th as per the conversation. She also told us today that we needed to pick up our bag quickly or it would be misplaced again. When we asked what her name was, she wouldn't tell us. We believe we should know who we are speaking with, especially in a difficult situation like this one. Our bag had important things like medicine, food, and other valuable items. Surely by this time my items would've gone bad. Totally very disappointed with the service from Qatar Airways and truly unacceptable.Review fromRafat A

1 starMy story very sadness no body believes what happened to me.. and how she treated me qater airways agent at *************** HER NAME *****.Hi, .. 7/30/2024.. I supposed to fly with Qatar Airways from ******* ***** to ************. I went to the airport 3 hours before takeoff and on my way to the airport on the highway my taxi collided with another car. After 40 minutes of waiting on the highway waiting for another taxi to take me to the airport. I arrived at the airport at 5:00 and the staff was serving a family. I spoke to the employee and she told me that we are closed. I told her you are not closed yet and you have another family that has not completed the check-in procedures yet. She insisted on the word closed. I explained to her my situation and what happened to me on my way to the airport. I also told her that I am going to ****** for a medical trip and I have a doctor appointment too. She ignored everything. The other employees were shocked by her treatment of me. I saw the other employee say to her. We can help him we have time later.. But she refused to help me too.. She was very bad her name is *****.. Everyone felt sad for me.. Now I lost my appointment with the hospital in ****** and this cost me a lot of money.. And also.. Qatar Airways. They charged me $595 to rebooking .Review fromTareq A

1 starI used QA in 2013 and 2014 and liked the planes and onboard service. However, I have used other airlines because of easier flight connections.Recently, I booked a flight with QA, but I had to contact their customer service to reactivate my ************** membership because I could not do it online, and the website kept instructing me to contact customer service.The agent was rude, and the 10 minutes I spent on the phone with him were a total waste of time. QA should know that business is built on good relationships and appreciation of business. They should also know that the world is different now than it was ten years ago; customers are smarter and have better tools to decide which business to deal with.Review fromSai Krishna B

1 starExtremely disappointed with Qatar Airways' customer service regarding my delayed luggage. Despite numerous follow-*** and promises, I have yet to receive any response for my luggage that was delayed for over 10 days. The lack of communication and accountability is shocking, especially from a reputable airline like Qatar. I was expecting a higher level of service and empathy, but instead, I've been left feeling frustrated and ignored. 1 starLost over $1000 in COVID-era vouchers because they wouldnt extend a grace ****** after their website was down. Punted me to an IT support team when I complained, never heard back afterward. When pressed, they said it was too late to do anything. The global customer service team drags their feet on absolutely everything. Ive never flown them, and I never will.
