    Scam. One of the worst 3rd party car rental companies I ever dealt with. In airport, car rental company didn't honor Cartrawler booking and made me to sign new terms. When I tried to dispute it with Cartrawler they told me I requested upgrade for car and car seat (!). On my argument that it wasn't the case, I was told this is what I signed for with original rental company. When I asked how car seat can be even upgraded, I didn't get any respond except "I signed".

    I too had a nightmare trying to get a refund from CarTrawler: CALL YOUR BANK they can make it right!

    Be warned! Rented a car through them and it turns out that the rental car office does not exist. Not only that there is no ************ on the entire island of **************. I called immediately and they claimed they needed to investigate. They have now stopped responding to my emails and refuse to do anything via chat. Avoid any website that uses this company. They are either inept or a scam.

    Zero stars they should be criminally investigated! I rented unknowingly from them via ***** Airlines and prepaid for rental $353. I arrived on a Sunday after 5pm to find out the booking went from *****-Cartrawler-Routes offsite of Airport. I arrived at Routes and handed them my car insurance and was told thats not good enough need proof of insurance that I couldnt get because my insurance company was closed! They then wanted to charge me an extra $30 a day for their insurance which of course I denied and wanted my $$ back he responded that I could do that just needed to go through Cartrawler. I opened case with Cartrawler and they denied me reimbursement of entire $353 and I never even used the service they are criminals! They rely on the fine print nobody reads because usually people use a credible rental agency with no tricks they are crooks!

    I don't understand how this company is still in business. They scammed me out of $145. I made an online reservation to pick up a car rental at 4p.m. But then I read the fine print and it said I would need more than $500 on a credit card to get the car. I only reserved the car, was never supposed to make a payment yet (that's what the website said: reserve with your debit card and pay when you pick it up). When I called to cancel, a woman transferred me to a number that just hangs up on you every time. Ten minutes later the company went ahead and just removed the money from my account, mind you It was ONLY NOON! I wasn't even scheduled to pick up the car yet! Please put them out of business! Their adverts are also misleading and deceptive, and they intentionally make it so you are unable to cancel or get refunded. Is this not illegal!?

    How is CarTrawler company is still doing business in *******? They have hundreds of thousands of 1 star reviews. So many dissatisfied customers, like myself. This company should not be able to be allowed to operate. It's unacceptable that Alaska Airlines website still directs its customers and members to the CarTrawler's website to book a rental car. Can anything be done about this? How many awful and negative customer complaints will it take to finally stop them from operating and ruining ****************?

    Terrible company. Refused to offer a refund for a car that was not available for rent, because no rental agent was available to assist me in renting the car. I'd give zero stars if I could.

    Booked a car rental through Alaska Air, I love flying with ******, so I felt good about booking through them. That was until flights were canceled due to a snow storm (where I live we rarely get these, like once ever 5 years). No issue with ****** and the airline ticket but when trying to get the car rental pick up date changed or the pick up person changed to a different name to a family member that was already at our destination everything from them was a "no". This is when I learned it wasn't actually Alaska Air but a 3rd party. They refused to make any accommodations, to help in any way. They issues a "voucher" in the amount we paid to rent the car, but now we're finding out there is no way to use the voucher. The info they provided for us is only a receipt of the trip. I can see why they are not BBB Accredited. They are just a third party that that scams people painting other companies in a bad light.

    This is by far the worst company and I wish I had checked the reviews prior to this, because it really leaves a bad taste for UBER which I have never had a problem with I have been reaching out for a refund like the many others here and have been given the run around, it was there fault at the rental place that i was not **** to get the vehicle due to "NEW OWNERSHIP" and I was told I had to contact UBER well of I was redirected to the nonsense of Carteawler. Horrible horrible horrible to say the least.
