I ordered a Texas candle from this company on Jan 27, 2025. It arrived soon after on Feb 5, 2025, completely smashed. I have pictures. I have emailed the company twice. I have sent them messages on ********. Nothing. I have noticed that on their social media especially ********, there are no comments whatsoever. I have made comments that are soon deleted by them. I would like my money back. However, I do believe they are running some kind of poorly run business as you cannot get a hold of anyone. How many other glass enclosed candles are ordered, packaged poorly that arrive shattered and then, no recourse for the paying customers? Something is not right with this company .Customer Answer

I ordered 3 candles in 2 separate orders for shipping purposes for Christmas gifts; a singular directly to a friend and 2 to myself to hand deliver. Upon receiving my 2, I noticed a noise from the box and when I opened it, 1 was completely shattered in the packaging - rendering it dangerous and not something I could gift. I have since wrote to the help@ email on 6 occasions, and have tried messaging them on Instagram. Instagram does not accept messages and no one has answered my email from 12/15 (x2 for missing information), 12/16, 12/19, 12/21, or 1/15. I originally was requesting a replacement, happy to ship the damaged product back but upon no answer, I requested a refund of $34.95+ tax to no answer.Customer Answer

11/30/24 $35 (bought on sale, full price of trio is $50)Winter Wonderland Candle Trio - did not specify whether burn time was combined for all three candles or each individual candle. The candles delivered with messy wax all over the box and the jars and didn't look presentable or worth the money. I believe the cost of the box was factored into the product cost too which I personally wouldn't want to pay for as a consumer and would opt out from purchasing if some type of info about the box was shared. I contacted homesick multiple times via email, the only way to contact them, and still haven't heard back after nearly two months. I had to file a credit card dispute to get my money back.Customer Answer

I placed an order on 11/29/2024, and to date, I have not received the item purchased. On 11/30/2024, I received an update on my order notifying me that my shipment hasn't been updated, and Homesick is keeping an eye out, and will be in touch with how they're handling the situation. Apparently, the item arrived at my local post office, but was sent back due to incomplete address, which I provided. I never heard back from Homesick despite claiming they will update me. I reached out via email on 12/4/24, and got a response from "****" on 12/5/24, asking to confirm my address, which I did. His response was they cannot control if *** doesn't know how to deliver the package, and "talk soon". There was never a follow-up. I emailed again on 12/14, 12/19, 12/20, 12/26, & 12/30, and still nothing. I have not received one single email/response about this situation. At this point I just want a refund, I no longer want the item. Your assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.Customer Answer

My daughter purchased a candle for me as a gift. She had the candle shipped to my home address. The candle arrived damaged (glass was broken). Per their website, i emailed them the picture of the broken candle and the order information. I have received no response despite emailing them 3 times. There is no other way to contact this company. I would like to receive a replacement or they can refund the cost to the purchaser.Customer Answer

I'm so disappointed in the lack of response from Homesick. My husband and I have ordered from Homesick many times and it's my husbands favorite brand of candles. As a result, I ordered some candles from Homesick in early Dec 2024 and the expected delivery date was 12/18. Dec 18 came and went. I received an automated email from Homesick saying that they noticed my shipment hasn't been updated by the carrier in a few days. "We're keeping an eye on it though, and if it doesn't start moving soon, we'll be in touch with how we're handling the situation for you."I kept following the *** tracking link for multiple weeks and there were no updates. Unfortunately I never received the candles by Christmas, as they ***** supposed to be a Christmas gift. I have now emailed ******************************* 4 times and not once received any response. The website does not list any other way to contact cuystomer service other than this email address, so it's extremely disappointing and frustrating that they never respond. I have paid money to Homesick and not received what I paid for. Very disappointing and given this experience we do not intend to buy anything from Homesick again and will gladly give our money to another company that has better customer service. I ordered an item with a customized label, received the wrong item. I purchased candles for $52.95 as a present on December 7, 2024. Order No. **********. These were shipped out then returned to sender as the street number on the address was off. I have sent several emails with no response and no refund. The tracking number shows the items were delivered back to sender, so they have both the candles and my cash and will not respond.Customer Answer

11/29/24 Candle order placed. I have received 2 conflicting emails that the order was shipped. Then an email that label was created and shipping is delayed. After reading BBB reviews I realized this is common with this company and I will not receive my candle and will have to battle to receive refunded money. I have experienced this tactic before where the company repeatedly says that shipping label is created with no movement on the product. I want a full refund of my money.Initial Complaint

I ordered from this company many times and never had an issue. In March of this year I put in another order as a gift for my wife. The order went through and I was given a confirmation email and order number (*********) at that time (March 5th 2024). My credit card was charged the amount of ****** almost immediately. I was able to see that the company put my order together and even created a shipping label and number for *** (******************) but had not sent the order out for shipment. Almost a month goes by so I reach out to their customer service email and get an automated response that someone will be assigned to my issue. Never got a response. At this point in time I have written four different emails to the company. After the first two I stopped even receiving the automated emails. The third and fourth emails were just completely ignored. My wife even wrote one from her email address with all the information and again got an automated response but no follow up. At this point I am unable to get my order or a refund because the company refuses to contact me in any way, shape, or form. *** even reached out to *** but they say the problem lies with Homesick Candles first and foremost. Im moving this issue up to the BBB because Id like the goods that I paid for and an apology from the company that we have supported for years now.
