Avoid werecoverdata.com at all costs. They lured me in with a "local Montreal office" and a promise of a 24-hour diagnosisneither of which were true. After paying a non-refundable $95 fee, I discovered that the "local office" was just a drop-off point, and my hard drive was actually being shipped elsewhere. When the 24-hour deadline passed, they kept delaying, claiming my drive was still in transit. After reading multiple horror stories about them holding data hostage for thousands of dollars, I rushed to reclaim my driveonly to find it had never left ********. They lied to my face about it already being sent. When I demanded a refund, they stalled for 10 business days and never paid me back. I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money.Their business model is shady, their promises are empty, and I wouldnt trust them with a USB stick, let alone a critical hard drive. Stay far away.

Scam. I own a removable hard drive that I no longer had the correct port to connect to a computer. I tried stringing a couple of adapters together to access the drive but it didn't work. Thinking I was better off getting help from an expert, I took my hard drive to WeRecoverData.com. No physical damage had ever occurred to the drive and, other than its age, I had no reason to think it would be difficult to recover my files. Never mind that they did not provide the evaluation in the promised turnaround time, when they did provide it, they said it would cost over $1,200 to get my files off of the drive. When I asked what the issues were and what work they needed to perform, they were vague ("logical issues," "digital issues," "the scanning is slow"). Feeling uneasy, I asked to have the drive sent back to me and to cancel my recovery request.I went on ******, found a docking station with the port I needed for $250, and plugged in the drive. The drive and all my files came straight up and I copied them all to the cloud with a click and a drop. $1,200 ... It was all a lie. They could have been honest and told me that the files came right up and that they would copy them for me for a much smaller fee. I would have been happy to pay less than the $250 I paid for the docking station that I'll use exactly once. But they chose to lie instead. ******.

Company is a SCAM. Paid the $95 fee and sent my phone for data recovery. Then receive a quotation for $1,760.40 with a 3-4 week turn around time. I called to question the pricing and ask how they arrived at the work scope without taking the phone apart. They responded with they have ways. Very unfortunate, I should have done more research.

They did it! I had thousands of pictures and many videos from my vacation to *******. When I got home the ** chip was blank. I tried a couple Macintosh recovery programs on disk images of the chip and they showed it empty. These guys took a while, but they got every movie and picture. The price was $800. The transfer process was difficult as they are using old Windows software. But I have my pictures!!

I should have paid closer attention to the reviews, but I didn't and now I will never recommend this company to anyone. Once they received and analyze my HDD, they said they wanted $3300 to recover my data (more if I wanted a quicker turnaround time). When I declined and said send my HDD back, I found today that they shipped it to the incorrect address. Hoping I can recover the drive from the person at the address they shipped it to (not sure how you mix up **** and 8902).Unless you're a business with a large budget or have very deep pockets, don't even bother with this company.

This company is after your money. I paid $95 to have them evaluate my SS hard drive to see if they could recover the data. After paying them the $95, they told me that there was a SLIGHT chance they could recover it but it would cost me $3600.00!! Yes, $3600.00. With no guarantee that they could recover the data. They even offered financing at a ridiculous interest rate! After I said "no" and asked them to return my drive, they told me they would have to charge me $37 to mail it back to me!!Wow! I can't believe that anyone would do this.

I'd like to thank We Recover Data for their amazing assistance in decrypting my *********r-encrypted hard drive after I tried 2 other data recovery companies without success. I am overjoyed to see all the information that was vital to me as well as other information that I could not have missed given my professional front. This firm for data recovery did a great job.

My 320GB Hard Drive was successfully recovered by *** ****. Amazing work with the recovery, and the entire experience was fantastic. Pick up, drop off, etc. Very quick to respond and effective. In comparison to other data recovery organizations, the pricing were likewise fairly reasonable. Thank you for the data recovery!
