I had sold an engagement ring on Louped for $750.00 on 1/6/25. Their policy states that they send check payments out the following 15th of the next month. On 2/19/25 I had emailed asking for confirmation that my payment was sent out. They responded that they were waiting for the buyer to pick up the ring, even though I dont see anything like that in their policies and it would be sent after. I followed up on 3/1/25 confirming I would be on that months pay list. They confirmed I was and confirmed again on 3/23/25. After not receiving anything in the mail or an update, I emailed them again on 4/10/25 asking if it was normal to be waiting this long. They responded and confirmed something was wrong, and I should have gotten payment by now. I asked them if I could be sent the payment via ******, since at this point the ring has been out of my possession for 2 months. They agreed to paying me on ******. I told them if I did not receive payment today, 4/15/25 at 5:00pm, since it was their scheduled pay date and I have been more than patient, I would file a report. They asked for my ****** information, I sent it over, and I still have not received any update or payment for the product I sent to them, that is in their words now gone to the customer. It is currently ******. This has been so stressful and I am having hard *************** which is the entire reason I sold the ring, so Id like some sort of resolution as soon as possible. I had been in contact with the buyer before all of this but have not tried to contact them since to see if they actually have the ring. They also say they take a fee off for something but at this point Id like what the customer paid since theyre not whats helping get it resolved.Business Response

To Whom It May ********************************* ***************** ***********I am attaching messages from Buyer and Seller, Messages from Buyer and the company and the terms and conditions the buyer accepts when making an account which I starred important section about how backing out of a purchase works. Some background we are a peer to peer marketplace that authenticates items after the sale. As you can see in the messages we went above and beyond to try to help the buyer out and he still has a credit to the website he can use. The item was already being altered to the ring size requested and the main reason which he states in one of the messages is that he wants a smaller ring. The buyer is trying to do anything he can to get out of the terms and conditions he agreed to. Please read the all the messages we attached.

This business is now called ****** but their company is registered as I Do Now I DontI found this site and subsequently the item in question on July 4, 2023. I reached out to the seller not having understood what the process for purchase is. The site states that you may offer an alternative to the listing price with the seller themselves. I reached out to the ****** Services team to get a better understanding of the process for sending in an offer to a seller on July 4. As soon as I reached out to the business for support and received a response, I got an email stating that my item was going to sell out encouraging me to place the item on hold. This may be coincidental, but would like this documented in my claim. As soon as I received this email, I went to the website to add it to my cart and hold it NOT PURCHASE. The messages serve as a record of my intention to purchase the item - I would not purchase this item for the listed price and, as ****** suggests, I messaged the seller to negotiate terms. This supports my intent to purchase the item for a lower cost not at the listed cost. The business then reached out to me letting me know that the buyer refused lower offers and the price was firm. Not once did I have direct contact with the seller themselves - just the business relaying this information. After reviewing their Privacy Policy, this is in violation of the Privacy standards the company offers to consumers. I received a text message this morning July 5, 2023 stating that the purchase was confirmed by the business. Again, I received 0 contact with the seller themselves despite my honest attempts to contact them. Over email, I notified the business that I didnt intend to purchase this item and requested a cancelation and refund for the purchase they confirmed. I was told that the terms I agreed to using the site state that all purchases are final and they are unable to cancel my order. Please see email screenshots for all communication.
