      This has been good until this last month they double charged me, so now I'm ****** and confused to why the sudden increase I'm waiting for an answer from, gonna hold my breath Very very disappointed with them, hope i can get myself not being affiliated with them anymore Beware of them!I also don't want to give them any stars, have no choice

      Only giving 1 star beause i cannot post the review without it. The absolute worse. 2 Representatives came to my home explaining that my gas&electiricty bill would never be more that 250$ due to their fixed rate. After multiple adjustments, con ******* informed me my bill more than doubled. i tried to get someone at family energy to explain and they were very defensive. Swearing that they explained everything upfront and telling me I clearly misunderstood. I told them i wanted to cancel and they told me it would be 209$ for each ******************* to cancel. I was told it was originally told there was a $200 flat fee to cancel. Not only is there a cancellation fee but also you will also have to wait 1 more full billing cycle to cancel. This has been the worst experience. Now I am stuck paying over 1.5k just to get rid of a service. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!

      SCAM/BAIT AND SWITCH!!! I also would give less than 1 star if I could. The broker lied to my company on what the savings would cover and instead of saving money, it cost me $600 more a month and we had 4 accounts. Then when I went to cancel, they charged us $2k to cancel the contract because it's based on usage over months.Horrible people that would lie like this and misrepresent.

      I was scammed by Family Energy when they came to my apartment. The whole set was very suspicious and I was repeatedly told that they would save me money. I see in My ConEd bill has double charges and getting in contact with coned is extremely unsuccessful. It shouldn't be legal that these agents scamming people who can barley pay their bills on time. Family Energy lied when saying they will save me money. I am furious that I have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars and I demand that I'm refunded the fraudulent ESCO charges. I was not given the contract to read, I was just told too initial on the phone. I am going to take them to court because this is horrible.

      If I could give less than one star, I would. Everyone else has said it well enough, they come by claiming to be with ConEd or National Grid and that they will save you money. My bill QUADRUPLED! It was included on my actual bills so I didn't pay enough attention (note that this will not come from a strange third-party...it WILL be on your utility bill. Don't expect it to be some weird charge) They wanted to charge me over $400 to cancel. Please don't fall for this scam!

      I am trying to cancel the transaction that I signed on 8/2/2022. When I try to fill out the cancellation form the date of 8/5/2022 is already on the form. I have 3 days to cancel, and this will put me one day over my cancellation time. The form will not let me change the date. I intend to mail this form today 8/3/2022 by certified mail, after reading all the complaints, I expect to have a problem. They will tell me that I didn't cancel in time and charge me $100.

      I was scammed by Family Energy when they came to my apartment on 12/3/2021. The whole ordeal was incredibly suspicious and I was repeatedly told that they would save me money. I see in the contract that savings are not guaranteed, but what has been guaranteed are hundreds of dollars of fraudulent charges that I've paid to Family Energy. My **** was outrageously cheaper under ConEd, and it shouldn't be lawful that the agents can lie that Family Energy will save me money. Obviously that's why I signed up for them: because they told me I would save money. In fact, my **** has gone up every month and I don't understand why I'm even being charged for gas supply because my apartment has not used any gas for the last two months. How can I be charged hundreds every month for gas that we don't even use? That seems highly illegal to me. I am furious that I have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars and I demand that I'm refunded the fraudulent ESCO charges and cancellation fee. I was not given the contract to read, I was just told to sign my initials multiple times on a phone. I signed a contract that I wasn't given the chance to read, and the agent ****** did not make the terms clear, which seems like cause for contract breach in my opinion. This whole process was very suspicious: I was told that Family Energy would LOWER my gas ****, but all they've done is charge me for fee after fee every month. My energy **** has skyrocketed since I signed up for Family Energy.I need an explanation of all the charges and subsequent refund that Family Energy has charged of me, including the cancellation fee. Once again, I did not sign a contract, I signed an iPhone screen and wasn't told what I was signing, or what the terms and conditions were.

      Family Energy described their services as being a substitution from the current Gas and Electricity provided. The customer representative came to my home and deceived me by saying that the services would be much cheaper especially bein a senior, did not mention the early cancellation fee (and especially not that it was per service). In addition, when I called Family Energy she spoke the whole time and told me that the information being spoken about and included in the contract did not matter, therefore, prohibiting me from listening/ reading to the terms. The early cancellation terms were not discussed with me, and when I received my *********** it was higher than expected. I called to find out why when I was promised cheaper bills. They informed me that the cancellation fees (which is extremely high) about $400.00. They waived the fee after I advised that I was not told about this over and over however they are still charging me $200.00plus on my ****. They are scam artists and lie about their service.

      Arrived at my door claiming to be affiliated with *** ******* she stated that she wanted my personal information to remove a particular box on my electric ****, which I eventually figured out was to try to get me to fall into the trap of signing up for a flat dollar per kWh plan for my utility charges. This woman was incredibly rude from the beginning, but this trait truly came through once I called her out on her ********, and said if she really were affiliated with *** ****** that she shouldnt need to ask me in person for my personal info, she should already have it. This is simply put, a giant scam to collect peoples information and charge them significantly more for their utilities.
