I have wasted a lot of time and have given out personal information including my address and phone number and email due to trying to find affordable home insurance and trusting "Forbes Adviser" when they said enter your information and we will get you quotes. They did not. Not one quote. All I got was continually being asked for the same repetative information by sucsessive websites I was "sold" to - one after another - while TRYING to get a PROMISED QUOTE.Now my phone number email and address are exponentially being spread over the internet and all I will get is junk and scam attempts. THIS C*** NEEDS TO BE ILLEGAL.

Thank you for reaching out. Forbes Advisor has researched the issue and was unable to find your information in their internal marketing database or on their email system. It is likely that the customer may have selected a partner link on a Forbes Advisor website, which redirected them to a third-party homeowners insurance site that collected their information for home quotes. Unfortunately, we do not control the content, data collection or data use on such third-party sites. We apologize for any inconvenience this experience may have caused the customer.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Since I got onlinie at Forbes Advisor trying to obtain affordable insurance, I have realized that all that business did was sell my phone number and email information to upwards of 100 people.  Since that time, I have been unable to use my phone due to being bombarded non-stop with marketing calls - to the extent that my battery drains every day and I now find myself needing my phone but having a dead battery due to bombardment of non-stop-marketing calls.  Forbes Advisor actually provided NONE of the information they obtained from me to anyone; they merely sold my phone number and email, clearly, to hundreds of marketers.

IT IS STUNNING THAT THIS IS LEGAL IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

AGAIN, I ask that Forbes Advisor be taken OFF THE INTERNET.  THIS WAS NOTHING BUT A SCAM - AND HARMLESS, IT IS NOT.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced after clicking on a third party link within our ************** content.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Forbes Advisor continues to deny responsibility for their harmful actions. I have attached the website URL for Forbes Advisor.  Immediately when you go to FORBES - offers for quotes pop up (I have screen-printed 3 that are attached under the Forbes URL to show you the scam.  That they say I went from their site to another site and it therefore is not their fault is pure ***  They have sold the mis-leading ads and are taking the money (blood money!!) to DO NOTHING BUT SCAM PEOPLE FOR MONEY.

Their site provided NOTHING BUT MISERY TO ME.  I WAS UNABLE TO USE MY EMAIL AND PHONE FOR WEEKS - AND CONTINUE STILL TO THIS DAY TO GET BOMBARDED WITH SOLICITATIONS THAT ARE IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM "THE BEST" "THE CHEAPEST" (or whatever I had once been looking for in home / auto insurance comparisons WHICH FORBES ADVISOR PROMISED TO PROVIDE TO ME.

THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE INTERNET.  THEY ARE A MONEY-GRUBBING GREEDY SCAM.

    THANK YOU,
