On 4/13/25, I ordered a 6-8 person *** sampler from Goldbelly for ******. Unrelated, I purchased a cake from Goldbelly that was fantastic. The *** sampler was for Easter dinner on Sunday. The packaged arrived on time but was missing the ***... Who wants to eat Ribs or chicken without ***? Goldbellys offer was a $20.00 store credit. That is a pathetic offer since it ruined the Easter meal. They argue that only a small part of the meal was affected. Only half a rack of ribs were eaten because who wants to eat dry ribs? Same with the pulled chicken. We weren't fans of the baked beans but that's no ones fault. The only thing that gotten eaten was the sweet potatoes. I am requesting at least $150.00 of Goldbelly store credit, if not a full credit of $******. We paid a premium to have some good *** for Easter. It was a huge failure.Business Response

Paid $90 for a supposed rum cake that had no rum in it. False advertising. No admission of wrongdoing. Not the first instance. Was offered only a $15 credit that had to be used by the end of this month. An insult.Business Response

On March 18th, I went to *************************************** to order their advertised Taste of the Master's kit, which is featured in their "Our Picks", upon clicking the link on their site, it redirects to *****************************************************. After completing my order, having it shipped and receiving the items, no rewards points were allocated even though all order qualifications were met as I was logged into my account and the order was made directly through **************************. Upon reaching out to the customer service team and discussing with ****** *., I was told that they would NOT be honoring the rewards program for orders submitted through their own redirected website. Here's an excerpt from the chat history:"You would not have recieved rewards points for that order with Taste of the Masters, since the order was placed on there site. Since your order was directly placed on *****************************************************, instead of on our marketplace here ***************************************, we are unable to count those orders for points toward Goldbelly rewards. To receive Goldbelly rewards, the order must be placed directly on ******************************."This statement doesn't make sense and based on the rewards terms and conditions as well as the requirements submitted, is deceptive and misleading advertising for the rewards program. If an order is re-directed from the Goldbelly website to a subsequent ************************** page, that is still ordering through the Goldbelly marketplace. If websites that end in ************************** that are redirected from the main Goldbelly marketplace are excluded, that should be explicitly called out in the rewards program qualifications and or terms and conditions, which it is not. There is also no disclaimer on the redirected subpage that it is not eligible for Goldbelly rewards.The total rewards points should be 680 based on their program rules. I have subsequent orders that will also be impacted that have not shipped yet and therefore aren't eligible.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The referenced *** section is unclear and not mentioned and/or linked anywhere on the Taste of the Masters ordering experience.
The *** section doesn't specify what is excluded, just says "excludes". Does it exclude promos? discounts? rewards? One, two or all three? It's poorly written and ambiguous. It's unfortunate that a company like Goldbelly would operate in such a seemingly deceptive manner.
I went to check others on the "excludes" list and nowhere on those subpages did they label that it wasn't eligible for the rewards program, just says "Not eligible for promo codes", which brings back up the original question on how the *** page is defining the exclusions.
At a minimum they should be required to add a footnote, asterisk or callout that the page within Goldbelly isn't eligible for Goldbelly rewards.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

I placed an order for a cake for a party and paid 90 dollars to have it delivered on a specific day, Cake was multiple days late, I understand problems occur but I found this unacceptable. I did not ask Gold Belly for a refund I merely asked them to close my account. I will not be using them anymore. They are refusing to close my account, and keep giving me the run around, I want my account closed.Business Response

I ordered several pints of specialty ice-cream for a friend's birthday. Goldbelly let me know that there would be a one day shipping delay, but that my order was properly packed and would arrive in tact. I ended up receiving the order several days late, totally melted, and after my friend's birthday was over. I requested a refund, but they refused and only offered me a replacement, or a store credit that expires after 90 days.Customer Answer

I have spent thousands of dollars with this company and have been a long time customer of **********************, but that is likely going to change. I have had some major issues with my last few orders. I was going to have some friends over early on *** and paid for shipping for an *** delivery date, and for a special charcuterie basket that I liked on-line which specifically listed its contents. Needless to say, the basket came late, days after ***, and three of the eight items that were initially advertised online were substituted for things I didnt authorize or even want. Their customer service was having issues and they havent gotten back to me now for about a week and are offering me a credit I can use in 90 days instead of a refund. No thanks. I had an issue with another order a few months ago, where a cake for my friends birthday was supposed to be delivered to the front desk of her hotel, and instead was delivered to the freight receiving area of the hotel and sat there for over a day. It took my friends hours to track it downhow embarrassing. Goldbelly basically wiped their hands and said they had nothing to do with the delivery once the item is out of their hands. Then how can they advertise themselves as a gourmet food delivery service???? This company has gone downhill and I deserve a full refund for this last botched order. On 12/30/2024 we received our order of 2 bunt cakes but the cakes were not packaged as described on their packaging advertising. Note: "Each cake is packed in a corrugated box with a GREEN CELL FOAM COOLER". However, These cake were not packaged properly in a Green Cell Foam Cooler. Upon arrival the cakes were warm and the frostings were melted. This is a serious quality control failure.Business Response

On December 10, a representative from ************* contacted me with an offer for me to work ***** minutes a day for $100 to $500 a day doing app reviews. As the documentation shows, they asked for starting deposits to begin work after which if the work was completed I would receive my earnings plus my deposits back. On three occasions, I encountered "welfare tasks" that required me to increase my deposits in order to move forward. The first was for under $200, the second for under $1500, and the third for $5000. After receiving the third, I had no guarantee they'd return the money once they started coaching me on how to negotiate with a banker to release funds into my bitcoin account so that the banker wouldn't get suspicious and cancel the transaction. When I told them I didn't want to go through all that, they said I wouldn't get paid for the day, nor would I get any bonuses, nor would I get my $1,500 in deposits back. The only way to get all the money back was to find a way to send them another $5,000. So, I want my $1,500 back in addition to the initial $500 in deposits I made to start the day plus my earnings, which amount to about $2,000 above that. A total of $4,000 or so.Business Response

1st time customer who placed two orders on 12/9/2024 on the Goldbelly site because the estimated delivery date was 12/12/2024. Goldbelly collected my money but has NOT shipped the product nor will they take any responsibility for NOT shipping the product or providing an estimated delivery date. If this isn't a scam, I don't know what is. As of today, 12/12/2024, both orders have *NOT* been shipped BUT Goldbelly will NOT provide a ship date, never mind package delivery date. The company washes their hands of all responsibility by saying it's the suppliers responsibility. Thus, they're not responsible for the order being fulfilled/shipped. **************** deflects and diverts by not answering the question (when will my orders ship). Their response is: Not my problem. Everyone's focused on quality and working hard. They'll also send you their delivery information (which lists all the responsibilities of the customer - have to be home to sign...), but allows them zero responsibilities on fulfilling the order Goldbelly is knowingly providing inaccurate estimated delivery dates while having no intention or process in place for the vendors filling the order. I used Goldbelly and placed two orders of steaks. Both orders arrived a day late and the meat was thawed. They were cold however thawed out. As we were opening the steaks to prep them, they felt very slimy which would make them not good to eat. I threw them away as I wasnt going to feed my family what appears to be bad meat. I contacted Goldbelly however they refused replacement or refund, they didnt even attempt to connect with the beef company. They offered me a $15 which is a very insulting thing. I wanted to report them as it seems like a scam to me and people should know about it. I attached pictures of the meat in the trash can. Very poor service.Business Response
