I'm a handicapped senior in my 70's who just had foot surgery. I went to shop big at the Kips Bay Fairway, **************** so I could avoid walking on my surgically repaired foot while wearing a large boot. I spent over $178 and told them to deliver. I asked if they were delivering when I got there. The said yes!That was 3PM On Saturday October 31st 2021. After calling and talking to a woman who said call me back in 20 minutes if he's not there yet. I started calling about 6PM! 3 hours after I bought perishable food and ice cream. I was told they keep the deliveries refrigerated. Well the truck that delivers is NOT refrigerated! So my food is still in some hot truck melting away! It's 7:30PM now and NO DELIVERYMAN! 4 1/2 hrs. and still waiting for a simple delivery.The lady said that the supervisor told her he only had one truck! Yet they still are taking deliveries! What morons are running this store? They are obviously incompetent!Assuming I get a delivery tonight I'm going through everything and check it's viability. Problem is I can't physically bring it to the store myself! I'm mobility impaired and recovering from the foot surgery and depend on people to do their jobs if they say they will. They promised a delivery within 2 hrs. It's over 4 1/2 hrs. and NO FOOD!I will complain to anyone who listens. Fairway isn't an honest company! They lie to their customers just to get our money without regard to the products they sell! I will return every bit of food that I won't eat and find another store to shop in. I was treated like ****, disconnected from the phone over 8 times while trying to call ***** back! She said 20 minutes, it took over 50! If you shop their don't have them deliver because they do NOT know how to handle food! Their delivery people have had little or no training except for driving and using a GPS. Nothing about temp control and food going bad after getting warm. I just got my food at 7:40PM by an unmasked deliveryman! Isn't he supposed to wear a Covid mask? That could be a deadly thing for a person who is in bad health and over 70 like myself! ***** Fairway! Do business at your own risk!
