I booked a 2 night stay the South of 5th location in *****. The room I was checked into was damp and smelled strongly of mildew. I complained to the manager who showed me the 2 other rooms available in the hotel but agreed they smelled as well. The manager shared others had complained of the same issue and agreed it was a problem with the building and would not be solved by moving to another room. It was agreed I would leave and receive a full refund. Before I could leave the manager informed me my car could not be retrieved from the 24hr valet because it was parked in an inaccessible lot. I inquired as to why. The attendant informed the manager it was due to night construction blocking the entrance and that from experience and previous nights, the construction would be finished by 3-4am, indicating the hotel was aware of the lot being inaccessible. I was forced to stay and wait until my vehicle could be returned to me. They initially tried to charge me for the night as I had to wait at the hotel. Finally they agreed to a full refund. Since the weeks since I left the hotel I have emailed multiple people in the company and received no response. I was able to get a response on the hotel's live chat on the website. I was directed to Hotels Tonight to claim my refund as they were the third party ******. When I contacted Hotels Tonight, they had no record of being contacted by the hotel to authorize the refund. I received a response by the hotel to the review I left on ******* They directed me to email a ***************************************. However, the email proved to be bogus and bounced back. I would like assistance in recovering my rightfully owed refund.
