    Been trying for the past 4 months to redeem my points. With this new update of the program, its nearly impossible. I sign on at the correct time, app has been crashing nonstop. Going forward I stopped using them for shopping as there are other alternatives that dont have such issues. My complaint is that they switched redemption options suddenly with no option to cash out prior to the switch. Im left with close to ******* points which I shouldve been able to redeem prior to the change. Its ridiculous that even at the allotted time I cant get one gift card to redeem. At this point I believe its a scam. Very frustrating.

    Hi there,

    First, I want to assure you that we are not now, nor have we ever been a scam, a bait and switch company, or the like. We are a legitimate loyalty company offering gift cards in exchange for points which can be earned through shopping with specific brands. Thousands of our members have been able to redeem their points for gift cards since the new redemption process went into place and all of those gift cards have been successfully delivered to their rightful owners.

    I want to reiterate that we have indeed been sending out gift cards as promised. We have recently made improvements to the redemption process that allowed members to redeem their points while encountering fewer errors along the way. Along with this improvement, we also made the decision to reduce the amount of app pages that are due to load around the time of the gift card drop to ensure the load on our servers was not too much to handle. Both of these improvements worked and allowed members to redeem even faster than usual. As a result, our gift cards did indeed sell out and have continued to run out in under a minute.

    We are continuing to brainstorm ways of ensuring more members will get gift cards with each drop, so please keep your eyes peeled for more improvements to come. As always, any major changes that go into effect will be communicated to the entire user base.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    While your claiming your brainstorming, youve yet to include actual data  I would like to know how many gift cards are given out each week, how many members are trying to log in  

    if youre strapped for cash, then allow everyone to get on a waiting list to redeem and get in line. Let the consumers see wheat number they are  

    Ive stopped using the app for purchases as I currently have ******* points with no way to redeem  Ive tried week after week  its pathetic

    Drop is a major scam. They used to be a legit business. But, for almost a year now its been impossible to get paid what was agreed to in exchange for the data that was provided. They supposedly drop a limited number of gift cards once per week (that even they admit sell out in seconds). Had they communicated these terms prior to my earning of the ponts id like to cash out, then though still seedy thats still their perogative. But, those werent what was agreed to when the points were earned. It would be like you sold used iphones and offered people 400 dollars for their used phone (which you then sold to others for 500 dollars). 100 people then send you their used phone expecting to be paid 400 dollars each. But they then go, oops, we actually only have 400 dollars we can pay out per week. So, you and the other 99 people are invited to attend a fight to the death. And, whoever remains standing will get paid the $400 dollars they are actually owed (and the other 99 get nothing). TBH, I could care less about the less than 100 dollars that Im owed. Its just the point. They are a fraud, a scam, and should be shut down asap.

    The Drop app has a system of rewarding points accrued by playing games on their system (Hoops, Snake, and a weekly Spin a prize wheel), or you can answer surveys for points, or you can tie a credit or debit card to their system and they award points for various incentives with their partner businesses. Earlier this year, they suspended any point fulfillment due to some internal issues with cash flow. They even gave an amount of points as a bonus for the delay. They reopened their point redemption with a weekly gift card drop beginning each Thursday at 1 PM (EST).Since this new system has been instituted in July 2023, I have been awaiting faithfully for the gift card drop and have only received gift cards as promised three times for the points I had painstakingly accrued Most weeks, the system seems to be overloaded, and the app less functional. More concerning, and recent weeks, the cards are said to be sold out within the first minute, literally 1:01 PM.Over the first few weeks, I sent a note, requesting a ticket to be open to look at the technical issues. I would receive a form notice from their tech-support, explaining that they were still trying to understand how to keep the system from overloading. Now, when I have reported, the responses are not forthcoming even as a form letter.I have read other complaints online that speak to the same exact experience of faithfully participating in the app and providing survey completion, shopping data, and engagement with other app point awarded incentives.My fear is, the company is not honest with his customers, and yet again, they have run into financial challenges, fulfilling their obligation to provide gift cards in exchange for fairly earned points. I am a longtime user, and I believe I have been patient. Nonetheless, I file this complaint, in hopes that you can leverage better results, and help them move back to the position of integrity and transparency with their customers.

    Today 09/28/2023. Drop claims that points can be redeemed for gift cards every thursday at 1 PM Eastern.Ive tried for the 5th week in a row to redeem my points for a $25 gift card and everytime like clockwork the app crashes when i go to redeem.This is a known problem and people have been complaining for MONTHS.Their support is non existent and it does not appear they will be honoring anyones points going forward.

    For the last few months I have attempted to redeem points in Drop for a gift card. They only allow them to be redeemed on Thursdays at 12pm. I have tried at least 8 weeks in a row. Many times I have gotten error messages and sent a complaint directly to Drop, in which they sent back a message with no actual information, just essentially what is below:"Unfortunately, we experienced loading issues and errors within the app due to a high volume of traffic. While some members were able to redeem and receive their gift cards others were not able to get into the app in time to redeem a gift card or encountered errors trying to redeem before they sold out."The cards will literally sell out within seconds. Today I tried to redeem and everything was sold out within 10 seconds. This cannot be a good business practice. I am extremely frustrated and believe that Drop is not delivering what it is promising.

    Drop Technologies has refused to honor its own redemption policies, outlined in the terms of service for its app, regarding the redemption of points for gift cards, points being earned by allowing Drop to have access to individuals banking information. Drop continuing to access this information while not honoring gift card redemptions seems fraudulent. After an extended period of refusal to acknowledge customers inability to redeem gift cards, Drop now is attempting to make users compete in a lottery for redemption. This also violates their terms of service. I have sent several emails with only an automated response but no real help. The only time you can TRY to collect is 1:00pm (ET) not great for people that WORK! I want the $100 dollars that I earned for gift cards. This must qualify for some sort of lawsuit.

    This company earns commission from consumers purchasing products through the advertised vendors on their site, for which they promise gift cards as rewards to the purchasers based on a point system. We used to have no issues redeeming rewards, but earlier this year they said gift cards would take two months to receive. Then they changed their policy again to limit card redemptions to once per week at 10 a.m. PST on Thursday for a maximum of one card per week, with limited numbers available. I have tried to go online right at 10 a.m. multiple times and the screen for requests doesnt load up and when I refresh in less than 1 minute, it says all cards are gone.If their business model is making money off our purchases, they seem to be the only ones getting anything. They are not allowing us to get the rewards we have earned. If you complain, they say oops there was a technical glitch. The glitch seems to happen every week. They need to be investigated for fraud.

    I downloaded Drop a couple of years ago, played the daily games, completed some surveys, shopped through the app and linked my credit card to track purchases for reward points. I used to be able to redeem gift cards immediately and at any time. When I had enough points, Id get a little bonus for myself. A while back, I decided to save up some points for something a bit more substantial. Earlier this year (around March, I believe) there was a message saying that instead of receiving your gift card reward immediately, it would take 60 days, while they changed their carrier and supposedly would improve the experience for users. I decided ti hold off on redemption until I could redeem immediately again. I assumed this would take ***** days tops. I know it doesnt take that long to change carriers. After waiting for months, they supposedly made rewards available for immediate redemption again! However, when I attempted to redeem my points, I discovered that you could only redeem $25 at a time and only on Thursday at 10 am. It was difficult during a workday to be available at such a specific time, so I have missed a couple of weeks. I set an alarm to make sure if I wasnt in a meeting, I could be available at 10 am on the dot to redeem. Even when I am on the app at exactly 10 am and click on a gift card as soon as they are released, I get a notification that they are sold out. I mean, literally within a second or two. Its absolutely ridiculous that this company is making money off of users and refusing the rewards agreed upon. You now have a 1 second window each week to *hopefully* redeem what for most people is probably part of your points. Its impossible to get what you are owed at this point.

    I had redeemed a gift card back in April, and although these rewards were previously immediate, I was told that redemption would now take up to 60 days. After the 60 day ***** I reached out to their customer service and was told that they are experiencing a delay and they would be working to send out gift cards as soon as possible. A few weeks later we got a message from the *** that the issues have been resolved, but they will be editing their redemption process to one a week on a first come first serve basis and you can only redeem $25/wk. Although I had already redeemed my previous points, these were refunded to utilize in the new system instead. Every single time I have tried to redeem, I have been on within seconds of the drop time and in less than a minute everything is "sold out". I believe we are all being lied to and that no gift cards even exist to be redeemed. We all participated in this apps partnerships (and gave them access to linked card info) to their gain and are not being compensated like we deserve. They are scamming all of their users.

    I have been a Drop customer for over 5 years. They have recently changed their redemption policy to have their rewards drop at a specific time, and display that this is "limited amounts". This is set for 10am MST. Since the rollout, I have tried to access the app during this time, and it always crashes and says at 10:02am that there are no more giftcards. A few occasions, I have gone onto the app at 9:55am MST to see if I need to be in the app to redeem prior to 10am MST, but this still hasn't worked. I have notified Drop on this and it's always an apology and their policy and to "try next week". However seeing posts about this issue, I know it is not just me.
