1 starI have been going back and forth with them for almost a year now. My child is double covered for dental and per the divorce decree I am supposed to carry insurance on her. So my ex husband who just recently added her to his insurance. Now Met Life is refusing to pay because they want to be found as the secondary but they cant. We have sent a mailed copy of my divorce decree and a faxed copy. They refuse to take an email and every time I call in they say there are no notes on my account and nobody knows what is going on. Now the oral surgeon is about to make me pay out of pocket. i have been with them for over 10 years and never I have I had the issues I have had with them this year. The phone bank people are rude its impossible to get them to call back. I had one man from the escalation team call me then hang up "on accident" when I called back in they refuse to let me speak to him and once again claimed there were no notes on my account. I had a dental exam done in January 2025 then I had treatment done in March 2025. Here we are in May and both my self and the dentist office have been trying to get Metlife to pay my claims. I have kept a log of all the dats and times I have called, And they tell me ***** business day it will get processed. If that was truly the case, my first claim would have been pain in January...MetLife, Inc.

Been trying for months to collect my deceased Fathers life insurance. They keep asking for more and different things. I had my Lawyer send them everything they asked for and still nothing. **************** is completely useless. I wish could leave less than 1 star rating. I read the other complaints here, I know I am not alone.MetLife, Inc.

Worst communication ever. I had had a baby March 28, 2025 and as of May 1, 2025 have not received a single payment for my short term disability. I couldnt get my case manager to call me back for the first 3 weeks and when I finally got someone to call me I learned there were issues with a leave I took back in 2022. The past 2 weeks have been spent getting the run around from customer service and no one calling me back again. When I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor I get ignored. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I wish my employer would switch to a different insurance company, MetLife is a joke.MetLife, Inc.

I have been given the runaround for a month now trying to get my STD claim filed. They tell me they have my documents, then I call to check, and they say they don't. My doctor and I have sent the requested documents several times, only to find out they never requested everything they needed. Now it's a five-day wait, and then another five days after they see they didn't receive what they never requested.MetLife, Inc.

My 88 year old aunt has paid in a considerable amount of money. We have been working since April 1st to have that money put into her account. Because we still have ZERO money received, she is being foreclosed on next week. She will be in the street. They absolutely do not care about their customers. We have jumped through hoops time and again, notorized and faxed MULTIPLE TIMES requested information, yet !!!steal!!! they refuse to RELEASE HER MONEY!! We have spent hours and hours on the phone wiyh them, and there is always an excuse! If you or any of your relatives have money with them, you better begin now begin trying to get it. They are conniving thieving liars.MetLife, Inc.

I cannot express how terrible my experience has been with MetLifes customer service. Ive encountered nothing but delays, confusion, and incompetence at every turn.Incompetent and Unhelpful Agents: Ive had to explain my situation to numerous representatives, only to get conflicting answers each time. The lack of knowledge and professionalism is shocking. Each agent seemed to be reading from a script with no real understanding of my issue.This is the most frustrating part. I asked them to email me the proof I needed to show I had paid for my policy, and they told me they couldnt do that! I was completely floored. How is it 2025, and MetLife can't email something that simple?Do yourself a favor and stay away from MetLife. Their customer service is a disaster, and youll spend more time fixing their mistakes than actually being covered.MetLife, Inc.

Metlife *** is a bunch of *****. They won't pay anything until you return to work. I know why they do it but it's crooked and they ****. They should be shut down and face criminal charges. You do everything they ask just so they can say they didn't receive you documents. I sent them five times before they finally acknowledged. Each time is a 5 day wait for them to receive. Then another 5 days for them to accept or deny. That's a lot of waiting having to send multiple copies. They will delete all your attempts to get them tour info in an attempt to starve you to death. Pathetic company!MetLife, Inc.
