I used the Public app to invest in the stock market. I had to provide my bank info in order to tranfer money from my bank to the Public app. After I learned that the stock market is not for me, I sold my investment. I attempted to acquire my money from Public, via a money transfer to my bank account. It was refused/denied. Public sent me an email and is now claiming that I have to provide more information to have MY money. There was no issue when they were receiving money, but now that I need MY money, they are seeming shifty. They are now requiring a government issued i.d. and bank statement. The email they sent me after my requested tranfer was denied seemed shady, so I emailed them twice and messaged them from the Public app. They have not responded. I need my money. This is a level of diabolical chicanery yet seen in "civilized" society. Please help. This volatile evil must be stopped.Business response

Thank you for your feedback here. Were sorry to hear about your trouble withdrawing funds back to your bank. As mentioned in our conversations, we are required to get documentation to verify bank ownership in the form of a bank statement and a government issued ID due to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. This is a requirement for all members and only needs to be done once! We completely understand the hesitancy to provide this information, but rest assured your information is secure as we employ Bank-Grade security with AES 128-bit encryption and TLS 1.2 to secure data in transit at Public.
