This locksmith service is several different businesses with different names but they are all ONE business. They pretend to be expert locksmith, come to your home, drill your lock off or remove screws, put on a new kick that is actually old & broken & charge you for a new lock even though screws are missing & locks are broken. They charge for 2 keys but only give you 1. They do not have a proper invoice or receipt or the box the new lock came in. They do not provide any documentation or warranty paperwork. When you call back to complain within a year because their $1400 lock is broken, they lie & say they have never worked with you. They hang up when you ask for a supervisor. The supervisor ****** or **** picks up after calling non stop & suddenly can find your previous interactions with them when the receptionist lied & said they couldnt find it. ****** says he will send a lock tech named ***. *** says the previous lock repair was only $125. So they charged us $1400 but only reported $125 to the **** This is also tax fraud. *** says the initial repair should have only been $600 & he will send the original lock tech, ***** to come fix it. *** unscrews a *************** No one comes back. The next day, **** says its our fault for agreeing to pay $1400 & that ***** no longer works there even though *** confirmed he did. **** says *** never unscrewed anything, which is a lie. We have it all captured on our Ring camera. We call & ask for ************ receptionist lied again & said he never worked with us before, said he would call back & never calls back.

I needed emergency service to get into my apartment door; my lock was jammed and the key wasn't working. My super authorized calling a locksmith but the locksmith drilled through the cylinder and convinced me I needed to get the mechanism replaced. Out of concern for my safety (I live alone) I agreed and he said it would cost $460. I got the bill for $1744 and he was very pushy and aggressive in making me sign for the service so I complied, despite knowing I was being overcharged. Not only was the service completely overpriced I don't feel safe trusting my lock with their employees. This "service" was provided by Locksmith Star Service, **** at *************************.
