If you are a therapist considering AlmaRUN. From the beginning, this company has been a disappointing, exploitative experience. I was hard-sold into joining by a pushy salesperson who guilt-tripped me into signing a contract. There was zero onboarding support. The only reason I got up and running was because a colleague already using Alma helped me.They advertise themselves as an all-in-one platform that simplifies private practice. In reality, they take a significant cut of your earningseven for clients with no copayleaving therapists making less than what Alma collects. I paid monthly dues for a service that consistently underdelivered.Mid-contract, they removed Zoom, a critical feature, and forced therapists onto a clunky, glitch-filled in-house telehealth system. No client portal. No option to cancel or message. Feedback from users about this major disruption was ignored. **************** is appallingly slow, unresponsive, and full of canned responses.Alma also back-billed several of my clientssometimes for hundreds of dollarsdue to their own billing errors. These were clients on tight budgets using insurance, suddenly hit with large, unexpected charges. And now, as I exit, Ive discovered just how much they make it difficult on purpose: you must manually download every single client note, one by one, with no batch download or support. Their response? "We cant help you." Once your membership ends, youre locked out entirely.Alma profits from therapists while offering little in return. They make it easy to join and incredibly hard to leave. This platform is a business model built on convenience marketing, but it fails on trust, function, and integrity. I deeply regret ever signing up.

I was a provider with Alma for several years and paid $135/month for their services. Until recently, I found them adequate, but a recent experience revealed serious flaws in their operations and customer service.Due to a minor oversight, something that could have been quickly resolved had they simply called me, my membership was abruptly canceled. I received no outreach, just an impersonal email. I attempted to resolve the issue through multiple emails (since they no longer offer phone support), but was met with automated responses and no follow-up.When someone finally replied weeks later, they took no accountability for Alma's part in the issue. I was willing to take responsibility for my mistake, but their unwillingness to engage in any meaningful or reasonable discussion was unacceptable. Only after I informed them that I would not reapply and had found a better alternative with no fees (Headway), did I receive a warm, immediate reply. This experience showed me Alma is not provider-focused and raises concerns about how they may treat clients. Their customer service is unresponsive, rigid, and lacks professionalism. I do not recommend them.

Terrible experience. Nothing but continuous billing issues which results in missing weeks of visits at a time. Nearly impossible to get in touch with any kind of customer service or support.

Unresponsive **************** I joined ********************** late December 2023. My credentialing went smoothly, however most of my experience after the sales call has been sorely lacking. I have contacted customer service numerous times with little resolution to tech issues. Hello ALMA, like many businesses have little interest in helping your issue does not fall within their 'FAQs' and Videos' Guides. If you have a problem with something other than what in the customer manuals, all you can do is submit a request for help via email. This takes 2-3 days. As a solo practitioner my time is money. I have spent needless hours trying to find answers for 'non-common' problems. Some emails they have sent have helped many others have not. Their standard response in emails seem as if they are AI bots .with standard 'read this section of the manual' or when my calendar does not synch with my personal calendar, I got 'refresh' the page.I have requested a refund and no response. I scheduled a 'Member Success Appointment' and was stood up. I had hoped to get feedback on how to better work with this platform.Other platforms like this were equally challenging but eventually I got a helpful email or call and cleared it up. I cannot say the same thing for this company

Please do mot choose this company. Hreat providers but Hello Alma conducts such bad business. They will charge your account and not provide a reason why (it wasnt my co-pay) and they have no customer service just an email. They will tell you one price to bring you on & charge you literally 5xs more after your second session. Mo replys no resolving of *********** care in the world for people WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY GOING THROUGH ENOUGH MENTALLY. Its disgusting to take advantage of ppl seeking mental help.

I had my same day appointment cancelled due to not having auto pay on. I was told they needed a card on file which I stated should be the case just not on autopay. They cancelled my appointment in stead of explaining the policy which was still not presented in any fashion. I was having a mental health crisis unfortunately at the moment which was only made worse by this. When I asked for an explanation and to speak to leadership I was replied to via the same phone number stating they were the leader and she acted according to policy and that I should reschedule my appointment. Upon me asking why they cancelled my appointment in stead of explaining the policy I was told she acted according to policy. Again this feels like I was talking to the same person. I asked if I could speak to someone else and requested a place to file a formal complaint. They said they were the person that receives complaints. I honestly can't recommend this service if you are having a mental health problem. This will only add to the issue and cause you undue stress. I also received an e-mail after unenrolling from autopay stating "Going forward, the provider will send you invoices for sessions and other fees" leading me to assume autopay was not a requirement at all and that none of this was actually necessary.

not a reflection on the providers at all, theyve been totally fine. however Hello Alma is a garbage, sneaky company that will send you bills when you DONT owe anything (your insurance covers everything). Suddenly I now owe between $250-$380 for my appointments that have cost me ZERO DOLLARS for months now. They sent me a payment liability change email a full day AFTER my last appointment, meaning i received no notification of this cost prior to my appointment (disgusting, immoral behavior on their end). Theyll also ignore emails to their customer support team while still sending invoices. Theres no way to get in contact with them aside from email, which they ignore. The exact same thing happened to my roommate a few months ago, and Alma was no help to them, and took forever to respond. I wouldnt trust this company even if you paid me. again, in my experience, the providers have been great, this is no reflection of them. Hello Alma is a disgusting, irresponsible scam of a company and Id leave zero stars if i could. Do not trust them. So gross for a company responsible for peoples mental health to act this way.

They took another patient of my providers co-pay out of my checking account and haven't paid me back yet. I veiw this as nothing more than theft, and have heard nothing good about this company. I've been emailing back and forth with them and we have gotten to the bottom of it, but these Alma thieves still haven't paid me back the money they STOLE from my checking account! I'd advise everyone to NEVER allow these swindlers access to their money!

The worst billing company for mental health I know. NO customer service number for patients who have an issue with their billing practices. You can only contact them via e-mail. They take months to get back to you on incorrect invoices. They blame the insurance company of the patient for the charging higher co-pay.From now on, I refuse to use a doctor who uses Alma for billing.

I was a patient of ***************************. I never received a bill. When I did see it I paid it off immediately. I had an appointment and wanted to confirm it. She never replied. I ran out of my prescriptions and these are strong medications for mental health issues
