    I have had several experiences with Big John's Moving Company. From the late eighties until the present Big John's has been exceptional in service and in customer service. In the company i worked for used big Johns moving Inc. to Move the entire company from *** ** **** ****** to **** ****** ***. and again from **** ****** ****  to **** ****** **** Each and every time they were extremely professional. Every one from the Movers to the office staff were extremely hospitable and professional. All of our equipment was handled with the utmost care. the move was organized and smooth. I was responsible for setting up each of the workstations for the company. they made it so easy. every desk and computer terminal was put in the right space. the movers were very helpful. This major move of an entire company went so well that we used them again in the 90's for another major move and it was the same exceptional service and professionalism. I would recommend them for all of your moving needs no matter how big or small the job. when my uncle moved I recommended big John to him and he used them and he was extremely pleased with the service. He moved 2 weeks ago and big John made his moving experience smooth and easy. The thing that separated this company from all others is the professionalism of the movers, they are polite, patient and handled the items as if if were their own. Not only are they extremely professional they also give back to the community in ,many different ways. Big John's Moving company donates to charities, donates food to the homeless community, they provide long under wear and socks for the Homeless community during the Christmas season, they make major contributions to the less fortunate. Many of the clients that use this service say they are more than just a moving company, they are family!

    I moved from *** ******** NY to ****** NY on March 1, 2024. This was one of the best moving experiences I've been involved with. The men were professional and thorough in all aspects of their job. The men totally took care of my furniture as if it were their own. The staff at big John's was so helpful. I totally recommend Big John's to anyone who is ready to move. All the best to Big John, his wonderful staff, and the moving men who I consider to be the best. ***** *******

    Moving is such a hassle and Big John’s made it easy. They were efficient, communicative, handled my items with care, and i will be sure to use them for my next move. Thanks for moving my items with such care!

    I moved from *********** to ** **** *** on June *. Because of the holiday my cartons were picked up two days earlier and spent that time in Big Johns storage facility in the Bronx, so they said. When my belongings and furniture were delivered to the new apartment and I began to unpack, it did not take long to notice how much was missing. Among these objects were a full set of swirl pattern flatware, a set of steak knives, and a $70 chefs knife. But though replacing them all might add up to a burdensome few hundred dollars, the worst most heinous act by Big Johns is the loss of deeply important and priceless LP record collections that belonged to my father, a World War II veteran long deceased, who was a passionate music lover. Some of them were originally designed in beautiful boxes. Because the moving company has stonewalled me on previous two emails, I can only conclude that they are willfully withholding everything that was in that carton(s). But its the record collection that matters to me and truthfully I have cried every single day since I discovered they were missing a few weeks ago. My father had little to give me but the extensive classical music LPs were as good as an inheritance. My losses include old-fashioned Christmas decorations that my mother made when I was literally five years old. Basic country quilts, a beautiful plush blanket, and speaking of sentimental objects, also missing is my winter blanket I bought for my freezing college freshman year, about 50 years ago. I kept it in perfect condition for five decades, it was so dear to me. Now its all lost in the viciously irresponsible hands of this moving company

    Dear *** *******, we received your complaint today via our BBB portal and were surprised to find that you chose not to contact us directly concerning your claim for missing items on your 6/2/203 move. Allow me to begin by stating that in all our over 40 years of doing business in New York City, we have resolved every issue brought to our attention. Please note that we have received no prior correspondence from you regarding missing items in your move. We would have happily resolved any complaint to your satisfaction, given the opportunity. Regarding your question concerning the reality and validness of our storage warehouse, kindly note that customers are always encouraged to visit our private facility. We pride ourselves on our award-winning, state-of-the-art, Private Storage Facility and have never received a complaint about storage in all its 33 years as one of our most vital professional features. Your shipment remained in storage for two (2) days, upon your request, at no cost as a measure of appreciation for your repeat patronage. Since we have no prior record of your complaint, we were never given an opportunity to effectively address the issue until now. Upon review of your documentation, we find that we unpacked all your boxes in your presence, except for a few book boxes. At that time, ALL items in your shipment were received as noted on your fully executed Household Goods Descriptive Inventory, which was signed, in your handwriting, that all items were received. Likewise, your Delivery Acknowledgement was signed that All Items Were Received in Good Condition without contra-indications. Surprisingly, no correspondence for missing items were brought to our attention until today, upon reading your unfortunate review on the BBB site, where we have maintained an A+ rating since we signed on as members over 34 years ago. We regret that you chose to circumvent our excellent customer service policy in resolving issues and instead published this baseless claim. After hiring us for your move in ****, we resolved a complaint to your satisfaction as follows, which is, I am sure, the basis for your continued trust and loyalty in June of this year: You will recall in ****, when you claimed that the crew “left 2 chairs behind” in your move. Upon your written correspondence to us, we immediately offered to deliver your chairs AT NO COST, even though you chose to keep the chairs off the truck to use them while waiting for your transportation to arrive. You were satisfied with our ability to cooperate with you despite the circumstance. With BBB’s permission, we would like to post a copy of our email dialog to prove our willingness and ability to satisfy this customer’s previous complaint in an equitable, fair, and impartial manner. In your complaint herewith, you seem to imply that you would like “a few burdensome hundred dollars” and this request was also never previously brought to our attention. With the Better Business Bureau’s permission, we request that this unsubstantiated claim is retracted due to there being no previous attempt by the customer to resolve the issue amicably, instead, there appears to be an element of compulsion to harm our excellent reputation in order to pressure us into sending her some sort of "payment", even though there was no loss or damage on her job. *** ******* even called our company President and had a rather CHEERFUL conversation with him, obviously some type of diversion. We are members of the Better Business Bureau in good standing with an A+ Rating because we take customer service seriously and it is our hope that *** ******* shares the same concern and would therefore like to see an amicable ending instead of an unwarranted and negative outcome.

    There's a reason you see Big John's Moving trucks all over *************: it's because Big John's Moving is The Best. I've lived in *** for thirty years, and have hired Big John's for all of my moves. The staff is prompt, courteous, careful, kind, trustworthy, and incredibly professional. I've never had anything broken, harmed or damaged in any way, and the packing they do is superb and pristine. And the other day, I actually had the opportunity to speak directly to Big John himself! He was awesome. Oh - and this was on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend! So the boss works as hard as his staff does. Amazing company. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your move.
