Purchased an order on 2/22/2024. Reached out to CS on 3/8/2024 to inquire about status of order. Received a response from CS on 3/9/2024 that they will look into the matter. Followed up with CS on 3/15/2024 to check status and request to cancel order and receive a refund. Followed up with CS again on 3/19/2024 to check status on request. I have not received any response from CS since their initial 3/9/24 email that they will look into the matter. I have been trying for a month to process a return with this business. Communication has been terrible. And even when I did get a return authorized, they only sent me a label for one of the two items I had to return.I haven't received a refund for the item I shipped back - I understand that that might take some time. I made a purchase in October to see how their process worked. I spent $60 and received $60 in cash to spend at their store as promised. I liked their business and process, so I bought more bags to fill with recycling clothes and send back for cash in their store and started to look at what I may like to buy and save up dollars for. They had a special promotion to buy bags for $20 each and receive free shipping and $50 back each bag for the holidays. I liked some sheets in their catalog and talked to my husband about spending some money to do good in the world and using the promotion to get the sheets. They were really pushing the deal of getting the $50 each bag, free shipping and buying things from their line of clothes and housewares. I kept receiving more and more ads and I decided to go for it. I bought the items before the end of December when the deal would end. I then went in to the site to buy my sheets and there was a big problem. They decided to stop allowing customers to spend their cash to buy a large item in one order. They suddenly were only allowing customers to use $20 on any given order. I was talked into spending as much as I could afford by the end of the year and was wanting sheets. Because of the deal ending, I would have to place 15 orders to spend the $290 I had accumulated, and their items are organic and very expensive. I told them they needed to honor the deal under which I made my purchase and explained, but they said no. They stated they gave all the customers 3 days to purchase with the dollars on a single order, but I am not the only one who did not get that message, during the holidays, when many are away from computers. There are others who are dealing with this same problem. Very cool company, with a great message and idea, but they can't bait and switch, especially when they do a big push with a time limit to get our money, and then make us not be able to get what we were promised. Since we founded our company, we established a rewards currency called "Closet Cash." **** has always been communicated as a reward for recycling, and provided Terms & Conditions for usage on our website.
We recently updated how Closet Cash could be used. We have communicated multiple times with our customers about the update to usage of closet cash.
The $20 cap was rolled out in late September and was present for all of October and the majority of November 2023. FAQs on our website were updated to reflect this. The cap was temporarily rescinded starting on 11/29/23. On all Product Detail Pages for Take Back Bags on For Days and Trashie, copy referenced the cap being suspended through the end of the year. **** post was pinned at the top of our Instagram feed - which references the cap being suspended through the end of the year. On November 29, 2023 we informed customers with Closet Cash balances above $20 that we were temporarily suspending the cap through the end of the year. On December 31, 2023, we sent a second email reminder to customers with Closet Cash balances above $20 that the cap was coming back on 12/31/23, to give everyone a few extra days to use their Cash.

I did not get the email about the extra 3 days, but like I said, it wasn't working.
In the note send back to BBB to me, it says you let the customers know on Dec 31st that it was ending on the 31st. I think that date mistake is what was put in the system. ****** who made purchases by the cutoff should be able to make the purchases they were promised. People to buy bags under different circumstances and policies will have that in mind when they make their purchases.

I placed an order with this company on January 10th. The order was shipped to the wrong address, and I reached out to their customer service team. They asked for my correct address and told me they would send my order. I never received confirmation that my order was re-sent, and I never received the order.After more than 2 weeks passed, I reached out again and requested a refund, specifically stating that I did not want the product anymore, only a refund, because I had initially purchased the product in order to take advantage of a promotion that was no longer active. I received a response that completely ignored my request for a refund and stated that "the carrier lost track of my shipment," which I believe is a lie, and said that they are shipping the product again. Again, they ignored my request for a refund and my statement that I no longer wanted the product.This company does not have a customer service number to call, only an email address, which is clearly be design. I had purchased a series of Take Back Bags as the company claims that it recycles and/or reuses items to prevent them from going to landfills. In the past, customers like me could apply their whole balances to purchases on the For Days website. Existing customers were not provided adequate notice that the program was changing where the Take Back Bag credits could be used for different vendors in increments of $5, $10, $15, and $20, with $20 being the maximum. Shopping for various items to use up credits and thereby increasing carbon emissions with each small delivery go against the ethos of sustainability and feels like a bait and switch, greenwashing business model. For those of us with an odd balance, we will never be able to reclaim our full credit. I am requesting a refund of my unused credit.Business Response

We have confirmed that this customer did not have a Closet Cash/ Trashie Cash account at the time that the program changed - Sept 2023, which is why they did not get the reference emails. This means that the rewards program had been already operating with the $20 cap previous to the customer joining the program.
Our customers have been aware that since September there has been a cap on the usage of Closet Cash. This was universally shared multiple times. We removed that cap in Dec and Jan, and made our customers aware that the cap would be back starting Feb 1. Closet Cash is a rewards system that is based on rewarding customer behavior of recycling. We bear the cost of all the recycling.

The website for days has something called take back bags where you pay for a bag, fill it with clothing, shoes and bags, and they use that as raw materials, and in return you get Trashie cash to spend on their site. They have a three bag deal where you pay 60 for 3 bags, and get 150 dollars in return. You previously were able to use all your cash at once. They changed it without saying. I read their site no where did it say that you can only use 20 dollars at a time and then are forced to pay shipping. So in essence you are just getting a coupon and only use it on 20 dollar items I dont want or need. The whole point was to save up for something I actually wanted which was a 198 dollar item. Now I have all this cash and clothes I would not have given them, money I would not have spent, if I knew that you can only spend a maximum of 20 dollars. I feel lied to and scammed. I also bought four bags in total so now Im out 80 dollars which I would like to get back. But theres also some he problem if having them sent my clothes that I could have sold myself on Depop. ( I had a shop on there but wanted to clothes it so tried this route.)Business Response

In the fall of 2023, I purchased two "take back bags" from For Days for a total of $40. These bags are intended for recycling old clothes, shoes, etc. I filled them up, sent them back, and received a $100 store credit in total, which could be used on the For Days website.On Dec 12, 2023, I ordered a ring and a cardigan from the website. I received no confirmation email or tracking number, but the ring arrived a few days later. The cardigan, as of Jan. 8, ****, has still not arrived. It is valued at $66, and I used a large part of the $100 store credit to purchase it. (In total, both items cost $104, so I used my credit, paid $4 more, and have already disputed the $4 charge with my bank. But refunding the $4 is probably all the bank can do on its end because so much of this purchase was based on a store credit and not actual tangible cash.)I have emailed this business repeatedly since Dec. 28, 2023 at its "help" email address, yet no one has replied. I managed to get a few intermittent Instagram messages from the company about my issue before it suddenly stopped replying.Furthermore, it's clear that even though For Days markets its bags as "clothing recycling," most of the clothes **never** get recycled by For Days. Most actually get reused -- raising questions in my mind about whether For Days is selling the clothes. A chunk *still* goes to landfills.This is deceptive marketing, and the company is additionally giving consumers no recourse for undelivered goods. Please research other complaints online -- I'm not the only consumer who has had problems with this company.The attached images show the Instagram messages and a log of charges on my For Days account showing I spent my $100 credit on Dec. 12, 2023. On 12/3/2023 I attempted to purchase a necklace clearly priced at $119. Unfortunately when I tried to purchase, the price displayed as $240. There is no phone number to contact this company. Under Contact us only email was offered. I emailed them on 12/3 asking how I could order. Got an immediate reply that this was received and would contact me. By 12/10 I had not heard back from them and reached out again. By this time the sale was over. On 12/11 a representative answered offering that I should order and they would refund the difference. To be clear I was paying with a credit called Closet Cash. I replied I was agreeable to that , ordered the necklace at full price. The difference has never been refunded. I sent emails approx 1x/week and was told to stop sending emails as I was slowing the process down. Ironically, For Days reached out to me via text about my satisfaction. I have corresponded with them over 3 weeks, each time promising to resolve. Copies of all correspondence was shared with them. I then received an email stating that they will be ending this program as it stands now and you will not be able to use more than $50 in the cash in the very near future. I reached out again stating I wanted to spend this money before the change occurred. I was saving my current balance to be combined with my refund to buy a 14K gold necklace. Feeling concerned as still nothing but responses to quick contacting, they are very sorry and will get back to me. So spent the money on a lower cost necklace. I have asked for a phone number - none given. I explained this past week that I would be going to the BBB. I am owed a minimum of $121 and the ability to spend it all at once. I do feel cheated out if ordering the necklace I want but feel I will never get this money. They advertise as an ethical company. Seems I can only talk to bots. I made a purchase on their site after receiving credit for a take-back clothing back (they recycle used clothing). I needed to return and item purchased because it did not fit. They require returns to be made in 14 days of purchase. There is no way to call the company to speak to a human to resolve this. Emails to their customer service went unanswered until a have a bad review online. I received an email after that saying they could help, then silence again. No way to make a return or get a shipping label from them. There are multiple complaints online of the same situation. I have not heard back from them since 12/12.Business Response

This purchase was made through our website, and through a third party vendor. The Vendor confirmed that the return will need to be made directly through them.
