1 starBlueground has our house in a college town as a rental. It is our personal property. They have posted on Zillow fake pictures and our address. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Scammers for sure.Review fromHany B

2 starsI've been renting with Blueground 2 different apartments for 12 months now. Each apartment 6 months.I have to admit, it started with great apartments and great customer service - more recently tho, in the past 6 months, customer services has been terrible, buggy app, very late responses, payment issues - they take forever to get anything done to the point that it becomes useless and more of a frustrating experience than anything.Unfortunately I would't recommend them at this time.Review fromDeWanda W

1 starWe rented an apartment for a total of three months from Mid-February through mid-May. After we moved in, we received an email that items were missing in the kitchen and would be replaced that week. The attendant came without warning, but we let it go. Not a big deal. It might have been. Look at this list:The task that needs to be done:-To bring/deliver the following items:wine glasses - 6 soup plates - 6 cutlery: spoon - 6,serving fork - 1 wooden spoon - 1 tongs - 1 grater - 1 can opener - 1 hot pad - 1 cutting board - 1 at least 1 ****** ware pasta strainer - 1 salad bowls - 2 salad spinner - 1 (Kitchen)hand soap dispenser The real issue(s) came after we moved out. The first email we received notified us that we would be charged $150 for a missing key card. Fortunately I was still in the city, and took a pic of the key card in front of the building when I returned it. This is the email I received back:We appreciate your effort sending us this photo as proof. Can you send another photo handing it over to the Front desk of this building?I told them no, that was an unreasonable request and they let it go. THEN, I got an email about the bathroom trash bin for $105 damage charge. We did not damage the bathroom bin. The bathroom bin in question would not have cost $105 to begin with. And if I knew we were going to end here, I might have mentioned the kitchen table and floors which we found to be in absolutely unacceptable condition considering we paid *********. All that money, and they just had to charge us another $105 for damage we didnt do. Never ever ever ever again.-***********************Review fromJiaxuan Z

1 starUpdate 5/16/2024: After rounds of discussion with Blueground as THE ONE MONTH APARTMENT WE PAID WAS TOTALLY NOT INTABITABLE, they said they can refund $500 at most (vs the $3900 we paid). Until now, Blueground never refunded us.Update 4/5/2024: As nice as these standard response from Blueground marketing or customer service team sounds, they still haven't solved our problem. Every day living in this Blueground apartment is miserable. Imagine all the time your kitchen sink reflects sewage or toilet like smell and fill your entire apartment that you have no way to hide. These days we have to wash dishes in the bathroom as even the bathroom smells better than rest of the apartment. After we filed multiple complaints, Blueground finally thought about filing a work order with the apartment building to send a plumber. The plumber replaced the disposal and cleaned p trap. Unfortunately, smell only stopped for a day. After that, it came back and same bad.---Initial observation after move-in--- Very bad smell in kitchen, dangerous for health, and Blueground is doing nothing. We rented a Blueground apartment for one month in *******. As soon as we moved in, we smelled a very strong moldy smell from the kitchen sink & cabinet below, as well as a *************************** smell from the fridge. The kitchen moldy smell later developed into a very strong sewage smell as we start to use the water in kitchen. The sewage smell exists all the time and is so strong that, it fills the entire apartment. It is so unbearable that we have to wear a mask at home all the time to try to feel a bit better. It is dangerous for the health of me and my family, and made it extremely difficult for me to recover from a major surgery. We contacted Blueground multiple times. They always say things politely and nicely but doing nothing useful to actually improve the situation. When we asked to move us to a different apartment, we were told that we need to pay extra thousands.Review fromCatherine B

1 starTotally non-responsive. We discovered a series of significant problems - every dish and glass in the apartment was put away dirty, floors filthy, etc., etc. - and despite repeated calls and emails, we have heard nothing about correcting the problems or compensating us for our troubles. When we discovered there was no garage opener and parking hangtag, we asked the concierge about what to do. She laughed, and I quote, "This happens all the time with Blueground." I'll never use nor recommend this firm.Review fromGregory D

1 starThe company advertises a free payment option for ** customers that never works. Can only pay with the credit card method which the company charges an extra fee for to use. They do not respond to support helps to use the free option. Lots of hidden and additional fees. Also, at both apartments I have been in, appliances were broken and they are very slow to respond. Thank you, Jake, for taking the time to provide feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and for not fully meeting your expectations. Unfortunately, according to our records, the credit we were given didn’t not pass the background check. We understand that our accounting team has already reached out to you regarding your refund. Really terrible experience - blueground does not reward longer stays. We extended our stay and got hit at the end with crazy reductions to our security deposit for "cleaning fees" we already paid. We pay a cleaning fee upfront. The deposit is for damages. They only found damage to a lamp that we did not damage - it was dented when we arrived. How do we dent a brass lamp? Then they want to charge $75 because we left.some trash bags collected at the front entryway. They were there when we handed over the apartment. No word that taking some trash bags down some stairs would cost ** $75 from our security deposit. I make a nice salary, but 5 minutes of my own time to take out the trash is not worth nearly so much. I met the cleaning lady - she used her phone to translate into English because she didn't speak it. If Blueground is honestly telling me they gave that woman $75 for 5 minutes of her time to take out the trash, that's great. But we all know they took the money for themselves, lololol. They also charged $75 for extra cleaning under the stove. Who knows who got that money for a few extra swipes of a sponge. In any case, the stove was not clean when we arrived. We had to clean it ourselves and found litter and food all around it. This was after we paid the cleaning fee. So what was the cleaning fee we paid upfront for? Just to get their hands in our pocket up front, I suppose. Dont get me started on all the issues we had during our stay. Safety, a rat, broken building facilities, leaks, outages. At an apartment they sometimes were offering to rent for 2x market. At one point we were like, how about a rent reduction for these issues? They offered $50. We had stayed for months, spending thousands. What can you respond to an offer of $50. Comical. What a joke of a business. I expected much better, sorry to say. Hope they get investigated.Blueground

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Were sorry to hear about your frustrations and that we fell short on the great experience we always strive to provide each of our guests around the world.
We reviewed the records of the stay and noted that some items needed extra cleaning according to our team's move-out review. At that time, we applied the relevant charges for those additional cleaning services. However, as an opportunity for us to improve this experience overall, we have gone ahead and refunded you for a portion of the cleaning fee. We also understand that all other issues raised during your time of stay were all resolved. If you would like to discuss your experience further, feel free to contact us at **************************************
To ensure a smoother process moving forward, well share your notes with our teams and **************************** at the specific building you stayed in.

I checked out a building advertised by blue ground. The pictures did not correlate with the location of the building as was confirmed by one of the residence. The interior pictures were the same as another listed apartment. When I emailed one of the reps she was **** and dismissive and never answered any of my concerns. I would not deal with this company.Blueground
