      I purchased a health class package with Kaplan and had a virtual class as well. The study materials were nice and the class was good as well. The problem I have experienced with them is trying to take the actual test for my state exam. I tested my laptop before the exam and it said the software was compatible, but when it came time to actually take my test I was unable to. Turns out my laptop was not compatible. I have now been fighting tooth and nail just to take this test. I've called Kaplan multiple times and have been hung up on and received different answers every single time I call in. Somehow, everytime I call I hear that the last representative had "No idea what theyre talking about" and mishandled the situation. Today, I called again, and I was told I had to contact the proctoring service! I requested a supervisor as it does not make any sense to contact the proctoring service, and was told I'd receive a call OR email back with no timeframe whatsoever. Horrible service. The poor management and lack of training shows by the sheer number of times I have called, with absolutely no resoliution.

      I tried talking to a young lady there and she got offended and they did not take my payment for the course I wanted to take. I used no profanity with her and all I did was get frustrated that she would not answer a question. I was without training because their are every few schools that my state will accept. After they did not take my payment and were unforgiving for me saying I am sorry they started lying to me. I thought Kaplan was a good place to take insurance training but it is apparently not as good as I thought. The people there are too human. No forgiveness lying and basically not as good as I wanted them to be.

      For anyone looking to pass their series 7 or 66, find another provider. The textbook I have has an ASININE amount of typos, incorrect answers and missing sentences. It is very difficult to trust youre getting the correct information from a book which was never proofread. Furthermore, *** purchased these courses at the end of 2023 and they do not include the updates to the textbook. I can understand not reprinting your entire book but the online versions should have the updates. Rather, they expect you to sift through external pages (only provided online) to get the correct information. Im working with my BD to provide better discounts from other providers because this is just pathetic for something that has cost me $700 for both exams.

      Just a heads up for people considering Kaplan, l've now had to class sign *** BOTH messed up by Kaplan themselves. This past time, I was in the waiting room early to join the class, and due to a glitch I wasn't able to be let in and was booted from the class. **************** wouldn't even let me send the screenshots to prove I was in the zoom ******* room early, and won't refund me for now TWO courses that were missed due to their negligence. I did everything correctly as a student using their program, and two course attempts later, have nothing to show for it. Don't use Kaplan unless you want to waste your time Date of experience: May 02, 2023

      So I have noticed that I have been paying for extension on my course that I have w/******** which is under Kaplan. ******** does not have a dedicated BBB account. Kaplan does. ******** has been taking 1 to 2 days to process the extension that I paid for. However, instead of applying the extension from the date that the extension was processed so I have access to the course for the days that I have paid for, they have been applying the extension from the date of purchase. This means they have been shorting me 1 to 2 days of course even though I have paid for it and they refuse to acknowledge or remedy this. I have called ********'s Customer and Technical Support Lines multiple times and have emailed them and they have not addressed the problem or tried to remedy it. The last representative, ******* that I spoke with was short with me and rude, she did nothing to explain why I have to pay for time unused because it takes them up to 2 days to process it. Why should I have to pay for time lost because they operations take days to process something that I have already paid for. They could simply remedy this by applying the extension from the date it was processed but instead they rather take the extra money for the services that are not yet available and hope no one says anything about it. It's theft and not acceptable. Also, their agents provide inconsistent information and customer service. I am not happy with their policies which are not clear and they do not execute their services within a timely manner. Also, I have noticed that when I place an order for a Textbook, it takes them 2 days to process it but I call them to correct the order literrally within minutes of making the order, they tell me, the Textbook is too far a long within the process to make adjustments or cancel the order. It's ridiculous.
