They charged me last on February 27th a charge of $9.99. They are saying I can't cancel the account, I need to cancel the card with my blank and block the company from charging me. This company is a complete scam and there are numerous complaints. It needs to provide refunds to all customers and be taken down for fraud.Initial Complaint

I cannot connect to my DiscoveryPlus all of a sudden. Over about 3 weeks I have been asking for help to connect my service. I have paid my bill throughout this problem even tho I cant use it. Discovery keeps sending me to a Chat computer which have tried about 10 times to no avail. Im 75 years old and need a human to help me. I do want to keep the service Im paying for. Their last response was something like, when we get around to it. This is no way to treat a customer. I dont know what to do. All my requests fall on deaf ears. Please help me.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Discovery regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: they send lovely emails. Words are chosen to make them sound concerned. However its been 2 months. I asked gor a phone call for someone to walk me thru all their instructions. They fill my phone with e mails but I haven't received any help. Im ready to cancel so i dont have this irritation. Iyst have deleted ***** emails which at this point is just harassment. This has not neem corrected.

I have been trying to cancel my discovery plus subscription for MONTHS and no one has been able to help me. They say that it can only be canceled through my apple subscriptions but it isnt listed as a current or past subscription. It doesnt show up on my bank statement despite them showing im being charged every month so i cant even put a stop pay on it. im frustrated and find it hard to believe that discovery is unable to assist me in canceling my account.Initial Complaint

I subscribed to Discovery Plus for the first time in October, 2024. After the initial trial period, I paid for the next month, at $4.99/month, using the credit card I added to my account. The service is deceptive, as they list channels that they broadcast, but several episodes are old, from years ago, and almost none seem to be current. It's a waste of money. I ended my subscription yesterday, 11/17/2024, as it was to renew today, 11/18/2024. There is no option to delete my account and remove payment information. I have called a few numbers, emailed, and used the chat option. All links lead to dead ends, including links to ***********************. No one answers the phone and there is no option to leave a message. At this point, I am going to have to cancel my credit card and be inconvenienced to wait for a new one, because I cannot delete my account. This company is disgraceful, and the service is obviously a scam. Filing this complaint hoping for a resolution and so that others can read it and beware. I did not fully investigate them before opening an account. My mistake, and I regret it.Customer Answer

I have been trying to get this subscription removed and closed since July 2024. Reached out via emailx2 and customer service phonex3 and your company keeps charging my credit card. I no longer have access to this email address as was my work email and I no longer work for company. I will be escalating this further as I want refund of three months since July when I have been trying to cancel and also this account closed. We are paying a subscription monthly in order to watch weekly shows on the *** section of Discovery plus. They are not airing the shows that are the very reason we are subscribed and therefore not deliveribg on what they are charging for. They do this all the time and should be held accountable and made to deliver the content they claim to carry on time, when it is supposed to air. The amount we have paud for this in a year is over 100 dollars just to not have our content air when it is supposed to! We, as subscribers do not care about the olympics. Discovery/hbo/max have cheated my self and other users. Provided with max subscription is tlc and all their properties. They change the practices so users are forced to pay for an additional service to see a show that is within the service they purposely delay the show that is on other platforms in order to get customers to pay twice to watch a show. It is a scam to myself and many other users. 90 day fiance and the different versions of that show is how they do it they decepitvely promise that as part of the max subscription and for peak episodes they only have them for purchase else where. In which the user has to either purchase or subscribe to another service for those final episodes. I messaged the customer support line in which they verify that they delay the episodes. And I have proof that it required additional payment. The service aint changed its the same service that they are scamming users with an additional fee for.Initial Complaint

Discovery did not fulfill their promise of continued coverage after their acquisition and transition away from Motortrend+. On February 23rd, 2024 communication was provided from Motortrend+ about the transition to Discovery+ and it was stated that all programming (including live coverage of events) would be continued. The live coverage of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) Imola race was not available on Discovery+ on April 21st 2024. I submitted a support request on the same day inquiring on where to find the live event and the response from Discovery+ explained that the live events were at the time not included in a Discovery+ subscription and that a subscription to *** would be required to watch the race. The company is not fulfilling promises and a service that I paid for now does not include the programming that I paid for.Customer Answer

ON JANUARY 24TH, 3 FRAUDULENT CHARGES APPEARED ON MY ACCOUNT. MY PURSE IN *****************, INCLUDING MY WALLET, *****, AND SUNGLASSES. WAS STOLEN. THEY ADVISED THIS HAPPENS A LOT AND NO CHANCE OF RECOVERING THE ***** AS THIS IS COMMON AND FILING THE REPORT WOULD BE POINTLESS SINCE I HAD NO CASH MONEY IN MY WALLET. REGARDLESS I TOOK HIS NAME DOWN. SGT *********************** #******. MY ***** CARRIER PROVIDED ME A NEW ***** KEEPING THE SAME NUMBER. I WAS GRATEFUL FOR THEIR SERVICE. AS SENIOR CITIZEN I WAS UNJUSTLY ACCUSED AND ABUSED BY DISCOVER. I AM ACCOUNTABLE THEREFORE I MADE A REGULAR PAYMENT TO PREVENT NEGATIVE CREDIT REPORTING. I REACHED OUT TO DISCOVER. I FILED A FRAUD CLAIM ON THOSE 3 CHARGES BELOW. THE REVIEWER RESULTS WERE INVALID AND ABUSIVE TO MY OLD AGE. HERE ARE THE REASONS THAT DETERMINED TO THE REVIEWER THESE CHARGES WERE VALID:1) I MADE A PAYMENT- OF COURSE, I MADE A PAYMENT - I DID NOT KNOW THAT KEEPING MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE 10K WAS CONSIDERED A SIGN OF ADMISSION BY DISCOVER, HAD I KNOWN I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE A PAYMENT.
