On April 22, 2024 I took myself, my children and my mother to *** for the first time just to go see the statue of liberty. We arrived via train. Booked out hotel and proceeded on a bus to down to the pier area around 4pm. Upon getting to the ******************* we were greeted by people selling tickets to the liberty cruise. Since that is why we came we purchased tickets at 4:16pm from big city tourism for their hour long cruise around the statue. I paid a total of $232.96 for the 5 of us on my debit card. We were rushed off by this employee down about a mile to wait for a bus to take us to the boat. The employees started to panic when a bus didn't come immediately for us. They were calling their bosses frantically. All while reassuring us that we would be able to get on the boat, it was set to leave at 5pm. They told us not worry and that we would get on the boat. This was their last tour of the day. And it was also my only day visiting the city so I had to be on it today to go. The bus finally arrived at 5pm and we were told the boat was waiting. We sat at the bus stop for over 15 minutes waiting to leave. Everyone who sold us tickets had since left. The bus driver orders us all off the bus and said the everyone went home and th eboat went without us. When I asked for a refund they told me to come back the next day. Which was impossible since I was only there for the day. I was sickened to think they scammed us and didn't provide a service I paid for. I have not been able to contact them. They had no remorse for the fact that I spent thousands to go down and see the statue and never even got to see it. My day was spent on public transport to and from and my children were robbed of a life experience.

They continue to tell me that a 3rd party is responsible and have yet to refund me. The customer service person tells me that she does not know how to contact her boss or anyone above her. Which is an obvious lie. Always giving me the run around. They have yet to refund me

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

My family was on the 3 pm cruise for ********************* yesterday. I spoke with many representatives to inform them that I had 4 children & two have disabilities. The staff was helpful in telling me what to do. I followed their instructions. We got seats on the top deck. To ensure that my children would be able to see I stood at the railing next to where my children were sitting. 4 women came. One shoved in next to me -she immediately elbowed my side. Then one pretended to take pictures of the others - we were still docked! She backed up so that her behind was an inch from my disabled child's ********** stepped on my child's foot - then she turned & SCREAMED in my disabled child's face "DONT TOUCH ME" - SPITTING on my child.I said "NO - do NOT speak to my child that way!" & told the other woman to stop hitting me. the woman backed into my child's face again. I gently put a hand on her back to prevent her behind from touching my child's face & said "STOP! Leave my child alone, dont speak to them that way give them space!" Immediately the women began filming me & screaming that I threatened & touched them. I repeated "We will have a problem if you don't stop touching & yelling at my child! I will go for help!" They began screaming "She's RACIST!" When I didn't respond they stopped yelling, but the woman to my side continued to hit me. My friend who is male & over 6 feet tall was with us. We were shocked & too worried to leave to seek help for fear of what the women would do if one of us left. Worse, we saw them while trying to board the free shuttle after. My child took a picture of them in case the women posted a video. The women gave my child the middle finger, began filming & screaming & followed us yelling "CALL 911!!" I was forced to pay for TWO taxi's to fit our family of 6. I want refund for the entire $200 that my family paid while we were allowed to be harassed & assaulted on the top deck of the boat - no crew were present for me to ask for help.
