I called this business to cancel an appointment. They collect a $25 dollar charge. When I asked to waive this as a one time courtesy as my pet was not having an emergency, the agent proceeded to tell me that I was also needing to pay $50 from a "missed visit" in January of which I have no record. I have been back to the business in June for vaccines for my pets. It seems like they create their own "pending charges" If I indeed owed money from January, why did they charge me and service my dogs in June? This seems like really bad business practice. When I asked to speak to their billing department, they just gave me the general email for the manager at one of their locations.Customer Answer

write me a bond vet complaint stating that I have taken my dog to them for vaccinations and I was told they were given in the front legs. My dog started limping on the back leg, so I called to ask if this could be related to the vaccinations. The nurse told me she needs to confirm if the vaccination was really given in the front leg because it's supposed to be given in the back leg. No one ever got back to me, I called 1 more time the same day and two times the following. I had to show up at the vet again to get an answer. The nursed and front desk staff was clearly annoyed and laughs at my request to get an answer and not leaving without it "you can sit there till 8 o'clock". Another nurse shows up telling me I have to make another appointment. No vet ever came to talk to me, and I was told it's impossible for or them to contact the manager or vet who administered the vaccinations. They can leave a "message in the system", which did not work previously.Initial Complaint

On Friday, December 8, 2023 during the late evening, I made an appointment with Bond Vet on their website for my cat for Saturday, December 9, 2023 for 1:30pm in LIC, **. Although I understand their policies, I fail to understand their lack of professional courtesy by not responding to four emails I sent to mailto:*****************************. Since the appointment was made within the 24 hours, there was no way for me to be able to cancel that appointment, upon trying to reschedule it at a more convenient location, I was still being PENALIZED with a $50 charge. Im yet to receive a response from their team.Customer Answer

On two occasions this business attempted to coerce me into (1) spending more money than was necessary and (2) spending the money on unnecessary or even dangerous medical practices for my dog. My dog is estimated between 11 and 14 years old (she is a rescue so exact DoB is unknown). I went to Bond in June of 2023 and was told my dog is looking as a brief life if she does not receive dental surgery as soon as possible. The surgery was quoted at $4,400. The "options" provided were low cost clinics that are not even accepting new patients at this time. The vet attempted to get me scheduled for a necessary EKG the following week. I was told she could not have anesthesia until an EKG was performed based on her age and heart murmur. Today I went in for a follow-up x-ray for my dog on a broken foot. I came in at 6 weeks as her medical records indicated for the x-ray. First, the vet tech indicated she would be given anesthetic. The same anesthetic which was listed in her chart as not prescribed until after the "necessary" EKG. Still, I was provided a consent form which indicated I assumed the risk of anesthetic. I crossed out this part of the consent and indicated she should not receive anesthetic. Once the films were taken, a vet tech came out, indicated she had no experience in radiology, and proceeded to give a diagnosis and treatment plan. She said (1) the vet had never seen the diagnostic imaging despite the company saying they had received records and (2) 14 weeks was the actual expected recovery so this 6 week $700 x-ray was actually unnecessary because it wasn't expected to be healed yet based on the dog's age. So, I have been charged for repeated bandage changes where I have been told a 6 week recovery (even though the diagnostic scans were never referenced) just to be encouraged to expose my dog to radiation when recovery was not expected based on her age, which was known all along. Coercive and dangerous business practices.Customer Answer

We took our 5 month old puppy **** into Bond Vet on 4/11 because he was sick and getting worse. I made an appointment and went in. The vet was nice, but told me that he seemed fine and that shed need ** to come back if he gets worse. She mentioned our options - xray or ***. It wasnt a requirement because this was our first time coming in. Since i had taken the effort to go and didnt want to leave having nothing at all been done for ****, I opted for the *** test. She did the test - results in 5 days. Two days later - ****'s worse. Now uncontrollable diarrhea, accidents in his crate. That friday am we started noticing blood in stool. We immediately called **** to get him seen asap. No openings, which i still cannot believe. No alternate options given other than waiting until Saturday. Obviously not an option.I then called the *** location, who had an opening, but recommended that we take him to an ** instead because of the sevarity of his symptoms. We went to an ** where he was finally treated. They perscribed an antibiotic, nausea meds and inflamation meds. We were feeling better about his condition that night. Friday evening 9:30 pm- missed call from Bond. We called back in ~ 15 minutes. The rep lets ** know that it was for the *** results and that she "cannot deliver that information" and that no doctor is available. Saturday we called back - Same thing. Sunday - the same. Finally we get a call late Monday at letting ** know that he tested positive for ********** and **********a. Also that the meds the ** gave ** wouldnt cover it. Wed have to get on another antibiotic. I complained about the rediculous amount if time since the results had come back. she explained it was on bond. someone should have given us the results based on her notes. She wants ** to come back for a followup xray to make sure hes well. I complained to the doc - no response.Dangerous care!I want our follow up appointment and xrays comped and the meds refunded to our account.Customer Answer

They are completely unethical. My delusional ex was making false accusations against me claiming that I hit his dog in the eye. He was harassing my friend sending ~50 emails claiming I hit his dog and said he would send the vet report, but never did because I clearly didnt hit his dog. I called Bond Vet to confirm that his dog wasnt hit, but also told them not to give my information to my ex because I am worried that would trigger him to make even more false accusations against me. They violated my privacy by informing him that I called and are also allowing a poor dog to be used as a **** for my ex to make false accusations against me. They are completely unethical in allowing a dog to be used this way and to violate my privacy when I specifically requested for them not to give my information to my ex, which I have recorded on September 13, 2022.Customer Answer

-They clearly misinformed us of the total charges that they attempted to collect -They did not inform us of $80 additional charge for every visit even if it was to complete an already paid for vaccine for my pet. -They communicated to us that we paid for the entirety of the treatment on the first visit and then they went ahead and charged an additional to complete the vaccines. -They charged us for a nail trimming that they couldn't complete -They Charged us twice for the same vaccine -I uploaded the invoice but your team lied to my face then charged me for it. I would have been fine if you were upfront and transparent with your charges.
