      I had a terrible experience with this so-called "special promotion" for a routine cleaning that ended up costing me $1,150. The technicians who came to my house were friendly and professional, but the real issue lies with their so-called "project manager" ******** and the rest of the company.The work was incomplete, and when I requested an invoice and pictures, I received the pictures immediately but had to wait days for the invoice. When it finally came, it was clearly doctoredshowing work that wasn't completed and pricing that didnt match what I was told. I had to call them five times to speak with her, who was unhelpful and clearly didn't know how to do her job.The invoice listed charges for installation and chimney caps, which were supposed to be free according to the technicians. When I raised this concern, they denied everything and were extremely dismissive. To make matters worse, I even sent them a video of the technicians confirming the free items (captured by my Ring doorbell), but after three days, I've heard nothing from ******* top it all off, if you look at their ****** reviews, they all look suspiciously similar, and many appear to be fake accounts. It seems like someone is manipulating the reviews to make this scam company look better than they are.This has been an awful experience, and I would highly NOT recommend this company to anyone.

      On 10/7/24 we had Shamrock Chimney install new stainless steel ************** in our chimney. They installed two. The also put new steel caps on both. On 10/21/24 one of the caps blew off and was hanging off the side of the chimney. It took them over a week to come and fix it. Then on 12/6/24 the same cap blew completely off the roof and landed in my driveway, luckily my car was not parked there. It took them until 1/4/25 to fix it. I called they set a time to come out and they would not show. I had 5 different appointments, only to have them not show. We had torrential rains during this time and it was the chimney cap for my pellet stove. I spoke to a guy at one point who threatened not to fix it all because I was angry at the service I was receiving after paying $3,300 for their services. When I asked what would happen with no cap on and rain getting in, his response was what difference does it make you haven't had a cap on the chimney. I lost it on him because YES I DID! There was always a cap on my chimney and it never fell off in the 8 years I have owned this home!! I have never in my life felt like all a company cared about was getting their money and then you can wait if something goes wrong. It took literally a half and hour from start to finish to put the new cap on and they couldn't send someone over in between jobs to do that. Now, every time we have gusts of wind my stomach turns worrying the cap is going to blow off again. We have solar panels on our roof and luckily when the cap flew off it went down the side of the roof without the panels, had it gone down the opposite side it would have broke solar panels and possibly could start a fire! I just do not feel like they took this seriously and I don't feel safe with those caps on my house. I worry all the time now because of this. I am asking for a billing adjustment of $500.00 so that I can have another company inspect the chimney caps and if necessary fix or replace them.

      i hired shamrock chimmney here in ******** ********* now ive seen a ton of complaints here about the buisness and i see there is also a shamrock chimmeny in ********, im curious where these other complaints are out of, had two gentleman show up for what i was told would be $100 flat rate chimmney sweep and inspection, i watched later on my ring camera (only my wife was home at time, first mistake) they carried only a latter around back to chimmney set it up an immediately came back around house where they entered basement, said there was a blockage and it would be an additional $200 to remove it, i guess that isnt considered "cleaning" they then brought a vaccum into the basement walked back out to truck several times and wasted time by standing behind it, all in all they were inside my basement for about 8 minutes, once they said job was completed they then walked back around to chimmney took latter and left i climbed up yesterday to look at chimmney and it is still full of soot build up.

      This company is a ****. DO NOT USE. Shamrock sent ***** to clean and inspect my chimney. ***** looked up the flue and immediately declared there was Stage 3 Cresote everywhere. Ultimately said give him $1400 and he'll take care of it. I declined and asked him to complete the cleaning. I had a chimney expert provide a second opinion and learned there was no Stage 3 creosote and that the chimney had not even been properly cleaned. Subsequently, I reported this to Shamrock's manager, *****. She said they would issue a refund. She never did. COMPLETE SCAM!

      I called Shamrock Chimney on November 16, 2024 to get a quote on my Chimney rebuilt and Chimney liner. They came out that same day and quoted me $6,500 to get it all done by that Wednesday. I gave them a deposit of $1,000 which was charged to my credit card. I unfortunately had another emergency within my home that required me to take care of it immediately. So I called Shamrock back on November 17, 2024 to let them know I would be unable to stick to doing my Chimney at the moment and needed my deposit refunded. They told me that they would refund the deposit and even text me link to a receipt stating the refund was issued. After checking my credit card statement for two entire weeks I realized they never issued the refund as they had stated to me over the phone or through the text receipt. I called them twice to find out what was going on and they told me they completed the refund on their end. I had to call my credit card to put in a dispute since it was clear they lied about issuing me a refund. We are now on December ******. The issue has not been resolved nor does it look like they want to give me my refund. I was going to return to them to get my Chimney done later down the line but after this situation I will definitely not go to them for business.

      I used this service to do a chimney sweep-they broke my end cap and never advised me-tried to upsell me on repairs to my outsider-pics below- they said that I needed these done eventually but never told me that I couldnt use the equipment. I tried to start a fire two weeks later and smoke quickly came into the hom due to the broken cap. I callled the company to advise them and they not only refused to help and correct their mess, they tried to upsell me.

      I contracted Shamrock Chimney to install a custom chimney cap which was done Friday September 9th 2024. I initially paid the company ****** as a deposit/down payment and immediately paid the remaining ******** the following business day. I was unable to get onto the roof initially to inspect due to my age, (69) and a knee injury, but when I did I found: The workers damaged my shingle cap; left four bolts missing from the cap; and a faulty paint job on the chimney cap which I was told was to be done when the cap was fabricated, (Also, the roof was fairly new - about 4 years old). They apparently left the job site to buy paint and the actual painting was done at the ********** store, so it wasn't dry when handled.I repeatedly contacted the company via phone and email asking them to at least send me the four bolts and compensate me for the roof repair & sloppy paint job. I was trying to be very patient with the company representative, (*****) ************ but kept getting the "run around" about the bolts and refund for the damage. I supplied them with pictures of the roof and chimney cap clearly showing the shingle damage, missing bolts and crappy paint job which I still have if needed to proceed. I feel whet I am asking is very reasonable and would like resolution to this issue.

      How could I possibly accept the response since the Better Business Bureau was not even able to get a response from Shamrock Chimney! This leads me to believe that the bureau's ability to enforce good business practices are very limited and frankly Shamrock knows this and doesn't care. I haven't received anything from them at all as they apparently run an unethical business. At this point, what can I even do except eat this and incur additional expenses for repairs as well as a ****** learned. I sure wish your agency had more "teeth" to either resolve consumer complaints or hold them accountable.

      This company deserves to be run out of business! I spoke by phone with 2 women on 2 separate occasions-- ********* and *****--in early September (phone numbers are ************* and ***********). They both confirmed a technician would inspect & clean our chimney on 9/25/24 between 9am-Noon and that the cost of the service special would be $75. The company even sent an email confirming the time and date the morning of 9/24/24. Within minutes of my receiving their confirmation email, I received a voicemail from an unidentified woman stating that they needed to reschedule the 9/25/24 appointment to 9/27/24 at the earliest, since they didnt have a technician available for the 9/25/24 appointment. Since we have to travel 3.5 hours away from our home to our condo for this chimney cleaning, this presented a MAJOR scheduling inconvenience that required us to rejigger our work and travel schedules to be available for the now-rescheduled 9/27/24 date. But wait! We received yet ANOTHER voicemail the afternoon of 9/26/24 from an unidentified woman stating that -- surprise, surprise they couldnt have their technician come out to the rescheduled 9/27/24 appointment!! Are you kidding me???? THEY DESERVE TO BE BLACKLISTED BY THE BBB FOREVER!!

      Clearly, the company failed to read and respond to my original complaint about a FIREPLACE CLEANING, NOT a LINER!  Yet another example of extreme failure to understand and respond appropriately to customer needs.  Since Shamrock's reply to my initial complaint in September 2024 is way overdue (it's now March 31, 2025), that ship has sailed! I will never, EVER use this company's services again and will dissuade others from doing so as well.

      Terrible service. Got my chimney fixed three layers, new cap and liner last September 2023. One day in July/August 2024, It was raining hard and my daughter told us its wet in the den. Had a giant puddle. It was leaking down the inside of the fireplace liner. I do not use our fireplace for a heating source, so I dont open or close the flue. My presumption is the work they did was not done well so I called them to try to get it fixed. Its been over a month month and half. I called. They said theyd get in contact with the air technicians or whatever to schedule it. Never got called back. I called again a week later. Same thing never called me back. Third time the lady scheduled it herself. When the time came, they rescheduled on us. Next time they didnt even call or show up, called and had to reschedule. Third time same thing didnt even bother calling me to tell us they werent showing. Well today 9/23 is the fourth time. They rescheduled early for 9/24 because of a family emergency so now they are supposedly appearing 9/26. An unused chimney with a new liner and a company that is known for ditching service repairing their own is fishy. I want this resolved and fixed and if they actually show up they arent getting a dime for their mess up. Should not be leaking in.

      We had Shamrock Chimney install a chimney cap on 15 August 2024. On 26 August 2024, during a heavy rainstorm we noticed water dripping into the living room. Upon inspection the attic had been soaked in water and the insulation was saturated to the point the water was coming through the ceiling. I called the company immediately to provide this information and request it be fix. I was told the earliest available time was Thursday, 29 August. On Wednesday, 28 August I was informed the appointment was canceled to the following week with no date identified. I called the company immediately to inquire why and was told they were double booked and the following week was the best they could do. I informed them that we had been lucky to it get any storms but that Thursday through the weekend was supposed to have rain storms. I was told that is unfortunate but the following week was the best they could do. My wife called back on Thursday, ************************ the morning to try to get someone out and was informed that when she is willing to be cooperative that she can call back and then was hung up on. We finally got ahold of ****** (POC identified as company license holder) and he coordinated to have ***** (tech who installed it) come out after house. ***** was at the house from 2130 to approximately 2230 on Thursday, 29 August. However, for approximately 3 hours we attempted to capture water coming. We captured approximately 40 gallons of water but missed more than double that due to how it was coming in around the baffle. I have been calling the company multiple times per day every working day since Friday, ************************************************************ order to have the damage reviewed and mitigated as needed. The concern is that enough water came in to cause mold. No one has provided that policy yet. We have a 4 month old in the house and if mold starts the company, by not providing the information to get this corrected is causing child endangerment.

      I have attempted to contact the company. However, it seems that the company has blocked my phone number and I am no longer able to reach them.

      In addition, the fix that was done did not hold and the chimney started leaking again. We had to contact our insurance company to initiate emergency services to get the chimney covered and start mitigation services on the water damage.

      This company is not even providing a response. The most recent response is the exact same response (word for word) they gave the first time. I have now explained what the issue is twice and what I would like to see from the company. Shamrock is clearly not taking any of this seriously.
