We purchased a used transmission from capital VIA VIN, as well is specific 3 digit (QZX) code on transmission. He verified it, and said it was in stock. Ordered 1/22/24. Delivered 1/26/24. Paid $4500. Took 2018 Audi Q& apart, and when prepping used transmission, realized it was incorrect. Wrong code on it, etc. Nothing matched up. I called up, spoke with *****. He said, oh we must have delivered one for an A6. We have the right one here. He delivered the replacement, and picked up the original one (which my staff had to lift on to their truck) on 2/1/24. We lined it up, and that was also incorrect. Wrong code again, hardware doesn't line up. Truck was already gone by the time we verified. I called *****, and asked him to come get this, and bring a check. I have lost money with this car sitting here apart. This was on 2/1/24. We are now at 3/20/24, I still have the wrong transmission, and out $4500. I have called NEARLY EVERY DAY, and have been getting the same run around. How is this place functioning? I want my money back (should be plus money lost from this, and interest on the $4500.)

On 8/10/23 an engine was delivered to my business shop. After installing the engine, it doesn't start. We did compression test on it, and found out that it doesn't have enough compressor on the pistons. I called Capital and told what was going on with engine and they told me that I will received another engine in three business days. I have been going back and fourth with them and no one sim to want to help me out.

Ordered a transmission from Capital Auto Salvage on 2/8/2023 for a 2010 **** F150. The transmission I received had the part numbers wiped and scratched off, but I had my mechanic install anyways.Transmission was incorrect, shifted horribly and idled at 3k rpm. I told Capital and Capital sent a replacement transmission on 2/15/2023. Also had part numbers wiped and scratched off, we installed anyways. Same issue, but idled at 2.7k rpm.I then ordered a transmission with more miles from a local shop, part numbers were intact and matched my old trans, and it works great.I waited before installing the new transmission sourced elsewhere before contacting Capital, to verify that Capital's transmission was faulty and rule out any other issue. I called Capital on 3/6/2023 (26 days after my initial order date) and told them that the second transmission was also faulty and requested them to pick up their two transmissions and issue a refund. Their policy (on the backside of their receipt) says "no refunds after 30 days" which implies that I can return for a refund if under 30 days. They rudely said "no refunds after 30 days, store credit only". I politely told them it has not been 30 days yet, and they refused to acknowledge this.I spoke to **** the next day on 3/7/2023 , and he said he would call me back later that day with a resolution. He has not contacted me since. Now Capital won't take back their old transmissions, and wont issue me a refund even though it contacted them before the 30 days, I am out of the labor of installing twice by a reputable shop.

This claim is because Capital Auto Salvage & Sales, **** Has been terrible i purchase an used transmission in $1800.00 and they sent it without the *********** and Axle sealed my Mechanic refused to install it because of it, then i called againg and told them to sent another one with everything and to please make sure that everything works, because i didn't want to wasted my money and do the process again. They sent another one with everything looking fine but it had the 2 axle sealed broken, but i didn't complaint because i was told by my Mechanic that wasn't a big deal and i just purchased the 2 axle seals and told him to go ahead and install the transmission, on december he installed it on my car and i paid $800.00 dolars for labor and the transmission was calibrate it and reset it and since the transmission was replace here are the issues that the car has. 1 a check engine light related with the transmission wich was never there before is showing up the drive motor with issues.2 the car doesn't engage when put the car on Drive and lurches forward and when is put in Reverse lurches back and sounds like a bang very bad.3 when breaking the car drives forward right after breaking. For these reason the car is not safe to drive.I called Capital Auto Salvage & Sales, **** And explain the situtaion they are willing to sent another transmission but they don't want to pay labor i asked them if they could replace it because i already paid $800.00 dollars and not willing to pay another $800.00 again and they refused to do it, and i asked them to sent me another transmission they refused to do it and this is why in filling a claim and asking 1 that they replace the transmision 2 sent me transmission and pay the labor.3 a refund for what i spent Transmission $1800.00 Transmission Replacement $800 Transmision Fluid $190.72 Because of their mistake i paid for something that doesn't work properly and is not fair that i spent all this money again.
