    On July 26, 2021 I hired Sheridan Brothers Moving to move me from ** ********** Street, Warsaw New York 14569 to * ****** ******, Silver Lake New York. They also were moving items to my storage unit in Castile, New York. After the movers were gone I noticed that the shelves to my 3 piece entertainment unit were missing I contacted Sheridan Bothers and let them know they were missing. They sent someone out to go through the storage unit to find the shelves but were unable to find them in storage. I proceeded to flie a claim as a wheel was missing from my craft storage rolling cart, a globe from a floor lamp was broken and I was missing a round antique mirror. Jennifer from Sheridan said I could fill out a form and mail it in to file the claim. unfortunately she was difficult to deal with. I then called multiple times and sent many emails. She rarely would return phone calls. Eventually I started emailing and she declined to answer many of my emails. At one point she said a check had been sent for $100.00 which she said was more than the claim. I never received said check. When I asked about not receiving it she didn't reply. My last email to her was on Oct. 6, 2022 and I said "i haven't received my insurance claim check. I'm wondering if it would be better for me to contact the Better Business Bureau. What are your thoughts?" No reply.

    We on numerous occasions has correspondence with you and your claim.  We mailed you a check on 3 occasions.  The address was confirmed with you on all 3 occasions.  We have gone above and beyond with you on this claim. You had basic coverage for your moving service.  We attempted to help you locate your shelves on 2 separate occasions as well.  I am not difficult to deal with.  I have been extremely patient with you and out of a good gesture offere4d you the settlement when really you were only entitled to 30 cents per pound on the shelf.  I honestly cannot believe that this is still ongoing.  For the final time we will send out the $100 check and hopefully for the final time put this behind us after 2 years/

    Here is my experience with the movers they sent to move our items approximately a half a mile from one residence to another: -The head mover would not wrap any items of furniture with blankets after it was already agreed to by the office staff. As a result many items of our furniture was scratched. -The head mover said he put heavy boxes in the middle of our antique table and it broke in half. The table was fixed but is now wobbly. Also, several chairs are also loose and wobbly. -At least nine pieces of furniture were broken. Sheridan only fixed the table. -The front office staff was rude and unprofessional when I called. -I had to call them several times to get any response. -The office staff said I was only entitled to the compensation that I purchased, which was very minimal, in the amount of $250. As of today I have not received that compensation. -I explained that these were extenuating circumstances and that I should be compensated for more than that amount since the movers broke several items of furniture by handling them poorly. They did not agree and we’re very rude and unprofessional in their telephone communication. -During the move, the movers were yelling and cursing at each other in front of our new residence. -Sandy, one of the office staff, was rude and unprofessional. -I now have several pieces of furniture broken. I was Not compensated $250 which they said they would provide during our conversation in October 2021. -I will have to pay more than $250 to fix the several pieces of furniture that were broken. -I would like this noted on their account to warn the community of their unprofessional and poor behavior. Thank you.

    Your claim was settled based on the coverage you opted for.  You were told verbally how valuation worked, it was in your emailconfirmation, and it was also explained to you on the day of the move by our driver.  You alleged damage was brought to our attention.  You were provided compensation based on the 30 cents per pound per article.  Aa check was sent out to you.  If a check was not received, we would have assumed you would have reached out sooner, rather than 1 year later.  We can check our records for clearing.
